The Hindenburg of Health Care
American Thinker, by Constance Jacobs

Amid the furor surrounding the disastrous performance of healthcare.gov, no mention has been made about the website´s original purpose. In fact, it was never intended to be a gateway where people apply for health care insurance; rather, healthcare.gov was supposed to provide accurate and reliable healthcare insurance information for every state in one centralized location that was accessible to everyone. The proof is found in the language of the Affordable Care Act itself. Section 1103 of the law mandates the secretary of health and human services

I prefer to label it the "HumptyDumpty Obama unAffordable Care Tyranny Act". All the Kings horses, men, women and primarily media can´t put it back together again! One can also argue you can´t put "back together" what was never together to start with.

The website is not the problem. If it worked perfectly, there would still be the biggest problem, which is a plan that can not work without a huge reduction of health care services.

There is a stark question that remains largely unspoken, as Hillary Clinton dominates polling and super-PAC fundraising, as the all-but-decided Democrat candidate for the 2016 presidential race. What if she doesn´t run? (snip)Queue the laugh track as Joe Biden surges to front-runner status? The polite way of expressing the problem is that he is "gaffe-prone." The more honest expression would be that he "isn´t up to the job." Still blunter would be words like "idiot" and "bozo."

Here is another "red line" for the president. After endless and lawless tweaking and rewriting the Affordable Care Act aka ObamaCare, there now can be a definitive declaration of a group being harmed. Employers with 50 to 99 employees have been given yet another one of these fiat waivers from Obama. And the employers with over 100 employees can now cry foul, and even a Democrat might see the inconsistencies and injustices of the recent waiver. Employers with over 100 employees -- say 110 -- are still bound to obey and incur fines, no taxes, (or is a penalty?). They are being placed

It turns out that you can bring produce sections to poor neighborhoods, but you can´t get poor people to eat healthier food. This comes as a shock to liberals who believe in the comprehensive theory of victimology -- that all problems afflicting people who fall into ethnic, sexual, or other identities regarded as victims are due to external factors, not to their own choices. (snip)The deranged premise behind the entire "food desert" theory was that crass corporations were bypassing the opportunity to sell healthy foods to poor people out of malice, or at best ignorance. No... you cannot keep your insurance, no matter how much you like it.(snip)Hit a citizen in his wallet, and he will never forget you. ObamaCare is going to affect, in a negative way, almost every person in America -- and 2014 through 2016 is when the hammer drops -- on all our heads. Therein, you have the turning of the worm. We´ve already had 5 million people in the individual insurance market lose their coverage. The next year should see the 120 million employer-provided insurance policies reevaluated in accordance with ObamaCare coverage mandates and either cancelled outright or restructured to come into compliance

President Obama has broken many promises. One that he has not broken is his boast that he would "fundamentally transform America." He and his fellow Democrats are on the verge of doing just that by turning us into a nation of loafers. A loafer is an idle person who lives off others. Barack Obama seemingly has no problem with such people. He might even relate to them. He does have a serious problem with his own work ethic, and finds work boring. The old adage, "The best defense is a good offense," is all the more valid when the major media outlets are on their side. One of the first acts of Barack Obama´s presidency was to send back to Britain a powerful Oval Office sculpture of Winston Churchill, looking beetle-browed and determined, the way Churchill really looked when he was defying Hitler. At the time, Obama´s gesture seemed another little eccentric footnote to this extremist administration. (snip) Fortunately Churchill spoke prophetically about tyrant-appeasers like Obama and Kerry. It´s no surprise that Barack Obama´s authoritarian streak is revealing itself at last. It was always there; clearly apparent in his rhetoric (e.g., his envy of Chinese president Xi Jin-ping´s powers), his abuse of executive orders, his threats against Congress, his sultan with fly-whisk attitudes toward his opposition, and even his vacations, which reek more of third-world trash gamboling on the Riviera than any American leader (George W. Bush settled his mind by clearing brush in Texas, Reagan at his ranch in Santa Barbara. Obama unfortunately finds the brush already cleared in Martha´s Vineyard and Hawaii.)

President Obama has repeatedly suspended parts of the Affordable Care Act without the consent of Congress. The latest unilateral action happened Monday night, when the administration announced another delay of the employer mandate, the law´s provision that businesses with more than 50 employees must provide their employees with insurance starting in 2014 or pay large fines. In July, the president decreed the mandate wouldn´t be enforced at all in 2014, and last night administration officials declared that businesses with 50 to 99 employees wouldn´t be penalized in 2015. Republicans have denounced such actions as "lawless." But if what the president has

Less than 24 hours after President Obama illegally rewrote the law he had previously jammed down Boehner´s -- and the country´s -- throat, Boehner handed the budding dictator a clean debt-ceiling hike. Last October, Obama vindictively shut down the federal government upon his having refused to delay ObamaCare, which of course is exactly what he himself lawlessly did on February 10, 2014!
