Might the Establishment
Turn Against Obama?

American Thinker, by Daren Jonescu

A disturbing trend among American conservatives is the increasing sense of optimism about President Obama´s slow fade in mainstream perceptions, and its ramifications for the future of American leftism. Does Obama´s decline entail the undoing of the movement he represents? Progressivism´s history reveals another option, which is that the movement will, in the name of saving itself, reject Obama. Progressives are rigid in their ideology, to be sure, but this rigidity does not extend to their support for leaders. (snip) Hillary Clinton -- ay, there´s the rub.

Long article, but well worth the read. I find it hard to believe that the ´establishment´ would turn on the Zipper. Although the author makes a good point about the cause being more important than the man, this particular man is different. We´ve been subjected to 6 years of hero worship from the media. We´ve been called racists for daring to question anything Obama´s done. We´ve been harassed and bullied by the IRs as well as the ´Justice´ and other departments.

It just seems to me they´ve gone all in on the religion of Obama, and they´re not going to back out now. Not when they have the media, acadamia, Govt and fraudulent elections to back them up. Not to mention the old stand by: yell racism at every turn. If it were just another old white guy, I´d say spot on for this. But when you got the race card to pull, and the media ready and willing to help you out, that trumps your truth anytime.

The only turning the msm will do is from obama to hillary. Good grief all the msm journalists are progressives aka as communists who are in favor of taking someone else´s money to pay for all their failed social programs. They may ignore obama but will never turn against him. There is no real reporting in the msm any more. They are just cheerleaders for the Democrats.

How Obama is going to spin the lies and debacle he has created.
BO is poised to use the Rush Limbaugh Obama Doctrine against the healthcare debacle. He will blame the insurance companies for the complexity. And no matter how hard he has tried to fix it, the insurance companies have screwed up health insurance and priced it so badly, the Obama team was unable to fix it.

(The Obama Doctrine is predicated on how he steps aside, away from the problem and campaigns against it. Turning the very policies and programs he supports into an example of how the inefficiency of government and the mean old GOP are constantly making his job harder.)

Here is what Obama will end up saying.

Speaking of the technology problem. - "We have jumped over the bureaucracy and hired the very people they would not let us hire to solve this. It is Bush´s fault and all of those other Republicans for making it hard to find good people without going through reams and reams of regulations and forms they instituted. But by executive order, I your hero, am going to make this my personal mission to fix this.

Referring to his broken promise - I did NOT break my promise to you. You should have been able to keep your Dr., but those mean old insurance companies, in order to protect their turf and make ObamaCare fail, decided to hurt you and compromised my solemn promise to you. It is too bad they put their own personal interest above the American public.

But, I, as your hero, will do everything in my power to fix this. Re-elect the only people in Congress who really want this to work and will make it work for you. If you buy into the propaganda and deception the GOP is throwing at you, this will get a whole lot worse. You will not only lose your Dr and the health coverage you cherish and I promised you would keep, but you will not have the new and improved, low cost, high value OC available.

You must not lose hope. You must not change away from the dream you had when you elected me. I am your only hope. So stick with me through this. I will fix it despite all the effort and road blocks the GOP is putting up. We must stop them. Stand strong and get out the vote next year. It is our only chance to really implement OC. I have to apologize for the GOP and their entrenched attitude toward the old way. I have to apologize for the mean old insurance companies and how they have let their greed and capitalistic avarice stand before you, the American People.

I am so sorry they have failed you. But I will not let them win. We will make this happen. Just don´t give up on the dream. Vote for your local Democrat. The only people who will make this problem go away and give you the health benefits you are entitled to have under our constitution.

I think that if Obama holds true to his form, he will fight to the end for his "signature achievement" (a former brag that is now an ironically appropriate albatross).

Democrats know that Obamacare could be worth about 20 points in the polls in the next election. Senator Hagan in Carolina has seen a 15-17 point lead in the polls disappear already. She is not ready to fall on the sword to save Obama, nor will many others up for reelection.

It says a lot that the article compares the Obama regime with former Soviet Union regimes, and none of it is bombastic. It´s accurate, which is a sad commentary for the US.

I´m posting this without the authors permission, but I doubt he´d mind.

Edward Boothe | November 18 12:33pm

The Republican Party of today, is the Democrat party of 50 years ago. The Democrat party is now the party of Nikita Khrushchev, who said in 1953 that he would make this a Communist Nation without firing a shot.
My mother and father were both devout Democrats, and April 20,1960, my father introduced John Kennedy to an audience when he campaigned for president in our state.
The party of John F. Kennedy is not the party of Barrack Hussein Obama, Eirc Holder, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi. As a matter of fact I voted for John Kennedy myself. It was my first vote. You had to be 21 then.
I would like to believe that my mother and father would have changed parties if they were still alive today. My father told me twice, shortly before he died, that he was having second thoughts about the Democrat Party, and that was long before anyone had heard of Barrack Hussein Obama, who was still in training by David Axelrod, and others, who believed in redistribution of wealth to those too lazy to get an education, or too lazy to work. I would like to ask any Democrat who believes in truth, freedom and democracy to consider if they want to stay in a party of lies, con men and Socialism/Communism, from the top down.
The Communists have murdered 85 to 100 million people in the world. Will they be digging ditches here? If they do I will be in one of them, but I would rater have that, than live under Communism.

The corrupt msm can pretty much elect who they want for President of the USA. They can, also, make or break a President´s policy. EX. Social Security is not in financial trouble, the IRS scandal was caused by a rouge agent in Cincinnati and Benghazi was a fake scandal, the Republicans are responsible for all the bad.

An excellent, well thought out article -- the author has reinforced his premises, dotted his "I´s" and crossed his "T´s" -- very enjoyable to read.

My thoughts about the title question is the trite old comment, "not if -- but when".

Since Obama began to expose his true colors, which for me was about 20 minutes after he took his hand off the Bible, January 2009, I´ve had the haunting feeling his pResidency would crash and burn, necessitating a meeting of the shadowy power dispensers who really control this nation.

Despots who become disposable are usually destined to death or ignominy. The choice hinges upon the degree of danger they are perceived to possess against the cause they are being disposed from.

If it´s fair to assess Obama´s performance in office through this prism, could it be why he has constantly chosen to walk a fine line between being seen as a "know nothink", uninformed doofus and a "cool dude", lead from behind world statesman.

With the constant hunger of his overly enlarged ego going un satiated, and the kingly feast of ObamaCare spoiling in the dumpster before his eyes, are his nightmares centered on the fifty year anniversary coming up next week?

Maybe on the other hand, I credit him with too much intelligence, and it´s just his fear of becoming another man who knew too much.

As time passes most Democrats will hop off Obama´s bus and then hop onto the bus carrying whoever they intend to support in the 2016 election. No doubt whoever that Democrat is, he or she will move away from Obama´s most destructive and unpopular policies, at least during the run-up to the 2016 election, and toward the end may be presented by the liberal media as being more conservative then whoever the Republican candidate turns out to be, at least until after the election results become known. Then, win or loose, it will be back to the same old Democrat politics.

How can a sharp reporter like Jonescu mess up his entire article, in the very first paragraph, by calling this Obama disaster a movement of "Progressiveism"?
Since the 1920´s, the Marxists, the Fabian Socialists and the Keynesians, have used, "Progressive" and "Liberal",
as code words, cover-up words, for COMMUNISM !
They STOLE the otherwise good meaning of these two words, and they´ve gotten away with this semantic crime ! Any free market or libertarian or historian, knows
that "liberal" means freedom and "progressive" does not mean totalitarian.
The mystery remains why too many good conservatives
Like Rush, Jonescu and Ann Coulter, continue to use these two important words as Fake ID for any and all kinds of harsh collectivism. It´s no mystery that all democrats, the media, RINO Rubio republicans would continue this massive semantic distortion, because they are all constantly pushing 24/7 for the end of freedom, just as good commies are trained to destroy.

Two outstanding points in the article: The march of Socialism, Marxism, Communism, Fascism all lead to the goal of Totalitarianism. By the time that utopian goal is reached, the people have had enough and it all ends in violent revolution with a conservative government following. Then the cycle starts all over again. We are almost at the tipping point. Obama is not the whole problem, he is only a piece of the cancer, a puppet of the regime. He is less important than the cause and will be sacrificed. His demise, just the same, will give me great personal satisfaction, simply because he´s such an egotistical ass.

As the labor movement tells the story, two months ago, the silly, ungrateful Volkswagen factory workers in Tennessee foolishly rejected the generous invitation of the company and the United Auto Workers to welcome the Detroit-killing union with open arms. In an election supervised by the federal National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), the workers in VW´s Chattanooga plant rejected UAW representation by a vote of 712 to 626. Amazingly, the UAW and the automaker both refuse to take the workers´ "no" for an answer. The two sides are acting in unison to overturn the democratically expressed will of the workers. For more than 160 years, Henry David Thoreau´s essay on Civil Disobedience has inspired Americans to "make known what kind of government would command his respect" so that we could live under that government in good conscience. Ultimately, in a free society, that´s all we have that is truly our own; our conscience. Following its dictates, says Thoreau, is the only rational way to live your life and be true to oneself. Imagine a vendor on the National Mall, selling burgers and dogs, who hasn’t paid his rent in 20 years. He refuses to recognize his landlord, the National Park Service, as a legitimate authority. Every court has ruled against him, and fines have piled up. What’s more, the effluents from his food cart are having a detrimental effect on the spring grass in the capital. Would an armed posse come to his defense, aiming their guns at the park police? Would the lawbreaker get prime airtime on Fox News, breathless updates in the Drudge Report, a sympathetic ear from Tea Party Republicans?

First, the good news: We are close enough to the end of the Obama presidency for his crowd to talk about a presidential library. Now, the bad news: Obama´s retirement is still 1,008 days distant. Plenty of time though to round up the dough to build it somewhere. Figure they need Solyndra-style money, at least $500 million. The last two presidents – Bill Clinton and George W. Bush -- built their legacy edifices totally with private money. [Snip] However, Obama supporters have a different take. They think taxpayers should put up $100 million in public money for Obama´s library.

Less than 16 hours after Chelsea Clinton announced she was pregnant, a lot of major news outlets started staring into the crystal ball of Chelsea’s womb, wondering what this currently floating zygotic multicellular being meant for the prospects of Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign, which is also a floating, zygotic, multicellular being. Their answer: The immaculately conceived Clinton child could mean everything. And no, it’s not just the fact that having a grandchild could be personally fulfilling to Hillary and Bill (mazel tov, by the way), or that a cute baby would be a sweet cherry on top of Hillary’s already

The first step is admitting… It was a simple question to someone accustomed to much tougher ones: What was her proudest achievement as secretary of state? But for a moment, Hillary Rodham Clinton, appearing recently before a friendly audience at a women’s forum in Manhattan, seemed flustered.(Snip)So…no definitive successes and some clear-cut failures. And that’s the generous New York Times assessment. The Democrat fantasy story about Mrs. Clinton paints her as strong and accomplished on her own. In reality, this is a woman who is professionally defined almost entirely by two men in her life, both of whom happen to have

Remember when Lois Lerner, in answering a planted question at an American Bar Association conference, admitted the IRS had targeted conservative groups but tried to pass it off as the work of rogue agents — “our line people in Cincinnati”? Today we know there were indeed federal agents involved. But they weren’t rogue, and they weren’t confined to IRS workers in Cincinnati. Thanks to a Freedom of Information request by Judicial Watch, we now have an e-mail Lerner sent to colleagues noting the Department of Justice was looking into criminal prosecutions of these tax-exempt groups. We know something else, too. These investigations
