His actor parents are well known activists and Stephen Ira Beatty seems determined to follow in their footsteps. The eldest child of Warren Beatty and Annette Bening, who revealed he was transgender at the age of 14, appears in a new public service announcement (PSA) urging New York to change its Medicaid regulation which excludes transgender people from accessing healthcare. Stephen, 21, appears confident and informed as he speaks about the problem, saying: ‘I grew up outside of New York, but I´ve always known I´ve wanted to move here for the city´s vibrant artistic community. ‘As a trans person, I

Comments:
Ah, Hollywood; another example of how their enlightened ideas pan out in reality.

What she means is that she wants free mental healthcare services, sex-change surgery, and hormones, already pressing to the next logical step beyond taxpayer-funded birth control and abortion.

Take a gander at the confused person´s list of studies at "college"; Marxist community organizing 101.

I do feel some Schadenfreude when liberal activists are confronted with dealing with the realities of their liberalism. I´m sure that Warren and Annette are still conflicted with their daughter´s gender confusion. Raising children in the liberal bubble does have consequences.

"I study poetry, literature, queer studies, and critical theory. I’m a gay trans man for whom both identities are equally important, a femme-inist, and a white person trying to do anti-racist work (sic).’

...wow. Could you be any more useless? Queer studies?!

The best nugget is this:

"The name of his blog refers to the Mattachine Society, one of the first gay rights groups founded by Harry Hay in 1948."

Harry Hay was a pedophile, supported NAMBLA, and was a dress-wearing communist.

#13, the zits are probably from the hormones she´s taking.

I think we see so much of this from Hollywood because these kids find it very difficult to cope with hyper-sexualized parent role models.

So, Chastity Bono doesn´t want to be Cher.

Kathlyn Beatty does want to be Warren Beatty.

Poor kids.

There may be a possible gender / identity personality disorder, which should probably be treated by a psychiatrist, but there can be no gender "confusion." One has either "XX" or "XY" DNA, there is no other choice in the middle.

I’m a gay trans man. So she was a female attracted to males, but with the magic of hormone injections and surgical mutilation, she now appears to be a male attracted to other males.

And all this time, I´ve told "no one choose to be gay."

Is it any advocacy that does not promote a business or product?

Government announcements of particular interest or importance?

If his/her condition is "normal" and not a "sickness" then why should the taxpayers cover it? Can´t have it both ways.

The lo-info voters and bleeding heart liberals will only hear "denied health care" and be off on a rant. In Liberalville, "not govt funded" equals "denied care."

Pushing hormones by the truckload into ones system does NOT change ones gender. Take away the hormones, they revert immediately. What GUTS expecting other people to pay for bodily mutilation. But wait, they like the idea of bodily mutilation BEFORE birth, so then, yes, it all makes sense now. Oh, God, please help us.

This is one example of what can happen when somebody steeped in privilege insists on finding a way to persuade the world that she suffers as much as they do, even more. That girl is seriously f---ed up in the head, and the deferential coverage she´s receiving is just enabling her mental illness.

What would cause this, though? Did daddy try to lay her when she was younger or something?

A new review is questioning the effectiveness of two key drugs enlisted in the fight against influenza and in turn the investments by governments to stockpile the drugs in the event of a global flu outbreak. The antiviral drugs Tamiflu (oseltamivir) and Relenza (zanamivir ) are commonly used to treat influenza in healthy adults and children. In the case of Tamiflu, the drug does shorten symptoms of influenza by about half a day - as the manufacturer suggests - but there is insufficient evidence to support claims that it reduces hospital admissions or serious complications, such as confirmed pneumonia or

The chamber voted 25-2 in favor of the bill sponsored by Republican Sen. Mae Beavers of Mt. Juliet. Beavers said on the Senate floor that requiring a carry permit "converts the right to carry a handgun into a privilege."

How does the Republican Party establishment choose its presidential candidate? Typically, constitutionalists accuse their establishment rivals of being moderate, risk-averse, stubborn old fools who lack faith in conservative principles. This is a soothing interpretation, as it begins from the hypothesis that the contest between conservatives and the GOP elite is a family feud. But there is another hypothesis -- less soothing, but, at least from an outsider´s bird´s-eye view, more reconcilable with the facts. This hypothesis is that America has reached a stage of progressive soft despotism in which the only important family feud in national politics is between the fundamentally

Given the crush of traffic on Healthcare.gov in late March, many more people could have signed up over those last three days than were captured by these numbers. On the other hand, the White House was claiming six million sign-ups as of March 27. There’s no way to reconcile that with RAND’s data. One of them is wrong. Maybe both, in fact. There’s a big spike in Medicaid, just as everyone expected. There’s a less big but

Eric Holder ventured off script in a speech Wednesday to the National Action Network, the organization led by MSNBC host and recently-exposed FBI informant Al Sharpton. “I’m pleased to note that the last five years have been defined by significant strides and by lasting reforms,” said Holder at the conference of black activists, before improvising “even in the face, even in the face, of unprecedented, unwarranted, ugly, and divisive adversity.” “If you don’t believe that, if you look at the way, forget about me, forget about me, if you look at the way the attorney general of the United States was treated

Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD) could face up to five years in federal prison for obstructing a Congressional proceeding. On Wednesday, Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA) and five Subcommittee Chairmen on the committee sent a letter to Ranking Member Cummings demanding an explanation for his staff’s queries from the IRS, why the Minority hid these efforts from the Majority, and why the Ranking Member denied such actions by his staff at a February Subcommittee hearing: “Although you have previously denied that your staff made inquiries to the IRS about conservative organization True the Vote that may have led to additional

A founding father of the conservative movement who is now a star among Tea Party activists is urging the GOP to choose a governor to duel Washington “insider” Hillary Clinton for the White House, saying that 2016 isn´t the best time for Sen. Ted Cruz to run. Often called the “funding father” of conservatism for pioneering direct mail fundraising, Richard A. Viguerie believes that the Texas senator is a “game changer” for the movement but that the best way to beat Clinton is with a candidate from outside the beltway. “I don´t think it would be best for the conservative movement for

As a former President of The Most Powerful Country In The World, George W Bush has significantly greater access to world leaders than most budding artists. (Snip) Art critics have pointed out that a number of the 30 portraits in the exhibition appear to be based on images thrown up by a cursory search of the person´s name in Google Images. In some cases the portrait seems to have been based on the very first image result on the search engine. Rather remarkably, even the portrait of his own father, someone who he surely could have asked to sit for him, appears to be based on an Associated Press portrait which appears on the first page of

This morning I clicked on a link to a Red State website article concerning “The War on Women” and “Paycheck Equality” and got quite a surprise (the same thing happens when a Firefox user goes directly to the article). Nanny Firefox posted a political opinion on my screen before allowing me to proceed to read the article. This message didn’t appear when I accessed a second article which met with Firefox’s political commissar’s approval. Here’s what Firefox said: Careful Now! (shouldn’t they have said “Achtung! or “Verboten!” or something similar?). This website could not be displayed by Firefox because it is not
