Immigrant teens ambush
Boehner at diner

The Hill (Washington, D.C.), by Russell Berman

Original Article

A pair of immigrant teenagers confronted Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) at a Capitol Hill diner on Wednesday morning, telling him their parents were in danger of deportation because of the House’s inaction on immigration reform. Boehner was eating breakfast at Pete’s Diner — his regular morning pit stop — when Carmen Lima, 13, and Jennifer Martinez, 16, approached him with a video camera in tow. After Lima shared her story and asked the Speaker to commit to immigration reform, Boehner told her, “I’m trying to find a way to get this thing done. It’s, as you know, not easy. It’s not going

He should had said....."Hold on for a few minutes, I´ll call someone who can help in this situation"....moments later the INS folks show up and problem is solved! That is exactly what we want done...follow the existing laws, punish violators through deportation, then work on fixing the current immigration laws....how hard is it?

They ought to take these kids away from the criminals who raised them to sass their elders. Send the police to the parents house to grab them and ship them back where they came from... illegally. I think someone should check their birth certificates (kids) and their parents tax returns. They have identified their parents as criminals, so send them back.

Those who don´t enforce the laws are lawbreakers. But then again so are most of the people in Congress and the Administration.

The video camera in tow is proof Carmen and Jenny were set up to do this although they were reasonably respectful to Boehner (maybe due to the two secret service types in the background).
Boehner should have asked a lot of questions like
- Why was your father deported? (Nobody gets deported these days unless there´s a felony or three involved).
- Why did you not go with your father (was mommy married to him or shacking up?)
- Why did you choose to stay in the USA instead of that wonderful ____ (fill in) place you came from?

Get them on the record.

I´m sorry these children are affected by their parent´s decision so many years ago. However, thus far they have received free education at the expense of the taxpayers. If they are sick, they can go to an emergency room or clinic to receive free health care courtesy of the taxpayers and insured American citizens. As anchor babies, they are eligible for benefits that neither of their parents have likely contributed.

As for their tactics, this smells like a school assignment from one of the great unwashed ultra leftists that occupy the D.C. educmacation system. They were simply following orders to suspend thinking and follow their base emotions and instincts.

#18, that phrase just means that Boehner was trying to finish his breakfast
without further interference from "the chillrun" annoying him there...

It´s like a Shakespeare quote...
"´Tis a fine thing, would ´twere done."

Note that later, in a real meeting followed by a real presser...
Boehner said...
"It ain´t gunna happen."

Nothing will be done in 2013 in the House...
There will be no House bill next year that would enable a conference with the
Senate regarding the monster size bill they did not read, but that Harry Reid
got passed, earlier this year...

In politics ya play rope a dope by making it sound nice and as though there is "hope"
then behind the scenes ya kill it...
this is the polite and inoffensive way to kill amnesty...
without having an army of Hispanics down your throat every day on this issue.

With Sunday marking the fourth anniversary of the Affordable Care Act being signed into law, it´s worth revisiting the initial purpose of the president´s signature legislation: Universal coverage was the main goal. Four years later, not even the White House pretends that this goal will be realized. Most of those who were uninsured before the law was passed will remain uninsured, according to the Congressional Budget Office. Democrats also fixated on another goal: protection for people with pre-existing conditions. Black children represent about 18 percent of children in preschool programs in schools, but they make up almost half of the preschoolers who are suspended more than once, the report said.
