The ´you can keep your doctor´ lie
starting to hit Medicare recipients

American Thinker, by Thomas Lifson

The firestorm over President Obama´s blanket false assurances on Obamacare is only going to intensify, as more groups discover they have lost either their coverage or their doctor thanks to the health insurance changes imposed on the country without a single Republican vote. One of the biggest, yet so far almost completely ignored, changes is the looting of Medicare to pay for Obamacare (snip)Senior citizens are the country´s most potent voting bloc, but because the media ignored the impact of the cuts to Medicare embedded in Obamacare, they were not mobilized in the 2012 election

The AARP and United Healthcare formed an alliance to force Obamacare on America.
They knew is would strip 700 from Medicare but thought they would be first out of the blocks to sign up new customers.
AARP is NOT working for Seniors-it works for MONEY from its for profit ventures.
NY Dems Shumer, Hilary and Gillebrand ALL pushed Obamacare -will New Yorkers wake up?

Due to reductions in funding under the law, the Medicare Advantage programs, in which Medicare provides money for private insurers to cover seniors, have quietly started to cancel the contracts of providers to save money.

I do recall reading back when all this started - that Medicare Advantage plans would be in jeopardy.

On the Medicare.gov website, it says:

Your Medicare coverage is protected.

Medicare isn’t part of the Health Insurance Marketplace established by ACA, so you don´t have to replace your Medicare coverage with Marketplace coverage. No matter how you get Medicare, whether through Original Medicare or a Medicare Advantage Plan, you’ll still have the same benefits and security you have now.

You don’t need to do anything with the Marketplace during Open Enrollment.

Maybe NOW my mother-in-law will begin to see the light. Her media of choice that "ignored the impact of the cuts to Medicare" includes The View and 30 minutes of abc/nbc/cbs supper-time news every day.

From DAY ONE it was announced that Medicare Advantage would be discontinued.

The scammers are still trying to sign up seniors knowing full well that it will not satisfy their health care needs as the plans are firing thousands of doctors across the country.

Vladimir Putin isn’t the Easter Bunny. On the other hand, he isn’t Joseph Stalin. It takes a truly fevered imagination to see Russian forces in the Crimea as a prelude to Russian tanks rolling across Europe toward Berlin and Paris. Putin is a power player who cares more about Russia’s national interests, and Russian minorities in his near abroad, than in that mythical force known as world opinion. Would that America had a president who cared more about our interests than in promoting globalism and the left’s social agenda. The Crimea’s population is 60% ethnic Russian. Beltway folk hold silly notions. Hillary is deemed formidable, and Republicans should hope she does not win the Democrat nomination in 2016. I disagree. Hillary is a weak candidate for president, and if she is nominated, she will lose the general election. Consider four aspects of a Hillary candidacy in the general election: (1) foreign policy, (2) domestic policy, (3) candidate appeal. The sole executive experience of Hillary in her life has been as Obama’s secretary of state. During those years, she did nothing but leave a dreadful legacy for America

Recently, Senator Harry Reid addressed the American people from the Senate floor and solemnly claimed that “there’s plenty of horror stories being told,” about ObamaCare. “All of them are untrue, but they’re being told all over America.” In essence, the senator called me and numerous other Americans being impacted by ObamaCare liars. The state-level civil rights bill that Brewer mothballed Feb. 26 was killed by a media-led propaganda campaign that falsely characterized it as "anti-gay." Barack Obama is a failure as president, and with a little less than 3 years before he leaves office, people are starting to notice. On the economy, he has presided over the worst economic recovery from recession since WW II, and the lowest labor force participation rate in decades. He spent a trillion dollars of ‘stimulus,’ rewarding political backers and cronies, while exploding the budget line. This he touts as a great success, saving the nation from depression and saving or creating 6 million jobs. The ‘saved or created’ thing is perfect when trying to cast failure as success. Revelations of lavish meetings at fancy hotels, featuring stupid but expensive custom-made videos emerged in the last couple of years. But even worse, cases of bureaucrats stealing from taxpayers by taking time off while still being paid high salaries have been reported recently, with their supervisors knowingly turning a blind eye to the taxpayer rip-off. Perhaps Arizona governor Jan Brewer was sincere when saying that the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (SB 1062) she vetoed yesterday could “create more problems than it purports to solve.” After all, observers such as Napp Nazworth at The Christian Post contend that SB 1062 might actually — contrary to all the hysteria — have made it harder for most business owners to refuse service to homosexuals. This analysis may have merit and can be read here, but it’s irrelevant to a larger point: The GOP’s handling of this matter was a good illustration of conservatism’s fatal flaw. The crisis in Ukraine has brought out a fresh round of critics of President Obama´s foreign policy who see a pattern emerging: the president tries to assert his authority and direct events on the world stage with empty threats, which inevitably have no follow through. With each instance, U.S. power grows weaker as foreign powers view Mr. Obama as the president who cried wolf. The latest case: Mr. Obama´s public warning to Russia to stay out of Ukraine was followed by an invasion just days later. It´s just the latest failure, say critics who point to Syria as an example.

At Chipotle, guacamole costs extra - but it soon may not be available at all thanks to climate change. The Denver, Colorado-based chain of Mexican fast-food restaurants threatened to take the condiment off the menu because of the rising price of avocados. While the avocado crop is currently fine, scientists at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory are predicting drier temperatures will lead to a 40 per cent drop in California´s avocado crop over the next 32 years. Most modern scientists agree that there is a direct correlation between the increase of droughts and global warming, according to Think Progress.
