Will Insularity, Incompetence and
Lies Doom Obamacare?

National Journal, by Ron Fournier

Insularity, incompetence and deception doomed the launch of the Affordable Care Act, according to post-mortems on President Obama´s health insurance law. The president now has two choices: (a) Accept the verdict and learn from it, or (b) stick with insularity, incompetence and deception.Early signs point to Obama compounding rather than correcting his team´s errors.Staying the course is a losing option for Obamacare and the over 40 million Americans who need health insurance. The trouble is far deeper than a "glitchy" website, according to numerous media reports, including an in-depth investigation by the Washington Post. Among other things, the Post uncovered

Suggestion #3 in Fournier´s list states ´Create an Efficient Healthcare Bureaucracy´. That´s the crux of the problem Ron. The American people don´t want a ´healthcare bureaucracy´ and after witnessing the outer edges of this debacle anyone who is stupid enough to still think such a thing is possible needs to be silenced.

No I don´t think obamacare is doomed. The elite GOP and the Rinos have and will continue to undermine efforts by Senators Cruz and Lee to rid us of this abomination. In the end the GOP will cave and help the Democrats pass legislation to "fix" obamacare. I don´t see any light at the end of this tunnel of destruction obama and the Democrats are taking us through.

obmama will never get any qualified company to fix this obamaCare website. Here´s why -

In Sept 2008, Bear Stearns was going bankrupt. The FED desperately needed a large bank to take them over, and do the country a huge favor. JPM did that, and now has been framed by the Justice Department as the cause of the crash, fined $billions.

No competent CEO will get near obama now. Way too dangerous.

That and lack of money. Huge tax increases and confiscation of wealth will be necessary just to break even on this boondoggle. There goes the economy and there goes the tax base.

Of course, Obie will double down !!

You have to remember that Single Payer is what they really want in the end, and they have to make Obamacare and the Insurance industry fail before they can push it, and try to get it !!!

It is important to realize that GOP congressmen have voted with democrats 10 times for implementation fixes to ObamaCare. For example - they voted to kill the HomeCare portion when that became unworkable.

So, the GOP has tried to HELP the idiots in charge. But, they are still demonized by everyone.

Efficient healthcare bureaucracy...please! We need less bureaucracy, not more. Government is a unwieldy behemoth that can´t manage one department efficiently. That is merely on the logistical side of things...think about the decisions that these bureaucrats will be making on your behalf regarding your health care and that should convince you that a big government agency is unqualified and should butt out of the decisions between you and your doctor. Frankly, I see no good outcome of this fiasco. Government can´t fix what they have already broken. Other than telling the American people, "Nevermind" and restoring them to their previous coverage, there is no good solution. As of January 1, millions will have no coverage because they won´t be able to afford it. Life goes on. Accidents happen. Illness attacks. There is a train wreck of massive proportions about to hit these people square in the face. When life hits them with medical emergencies they will face financial ruin. At the same time, Medicaid will be expanded and work well. It is the middle class who will feel the pain Obamacare brings. Those pesky worker bees should be sharing their wealth with the lazy layabouts.

Print print print that money to ´fix´ that which is the means to the end which is a broke and diminished if not overtaken country. The quicksand we are in financially as a country can´t back up the money printed. The crash will come. Our healthcare is not the point. The point is a broken and therefore unable to defend itself country. Wonder where the people pushing this on us have planned to go when the government runs out of our money and people don´t get their ´share´ of the wealth that no longer exists.

Sadly, what we are going to see in the future is that the RINO´s in Congress will continue to say that "it´s the law of the land and it´s our responsibility to fix it". NO IS ISN´T! It´s your responsibility to GET RID OF THE LAW! Just because it´s there doesn´t mean it can´t be thrown out. NO law is written is stone except the Ten Commandments. And I don´t see anything in those about healthcare. So, we are going to be damned until and unless WE the people get rid of the RINO´s and replace them with true Americans of the conservative stripe. And have the strength and resolve to do what is right and correct and follows the Constitution.

Obamacare is unfixable because it contains a basic contradiction at its core: you cannot expand the number of people with access to health insurance when you simultaneously jack up the coverage requirements, making the insurance unaffordable for most.

Incompetence is the most likely explanation, but undoubtedly a high percentage of the idiots responsible for Obamacare would really rather have a single payer system.

FTA: "During regular staff meetings to monitor progress, he invariably turned attention to the website. If it doesn´t work, Obama said, "nothing else matters." In one meeting, he told senior advisers that implementing ACA was the most important job of his presidency. "We´ve got to do it right," Obama said."

If "the most important job of his presidency" is such an unmitigated disaster, what does that say about the rest of his agenda? The economy, for example.

The legacy of BO will be a country with far less working people, far less prosperous people, people with far worse health care and health care insurance options, and a world that has no respect for us.

As to these "solutions":
1. This administration is nothing but insiders, from VJ right on down. 2. They lie like they breath. 3. There is no such thing as an efficient bureaucracy. That is the lesson of the failure of communism. Central planning doesn´t work. 4. New leadership? Leadership cannot fix a broken and doomed concept. NO ONE can fix this. However, a new president would be nice anyway.

No, it will just give 0 and his supporters what they really wanted.

Read some of the comments after all the articles exposing the intro of Obamacare. The mantra is "that is why we need single payer", and "we would have had single payer, but the greedy insurance companies and Republicans stopped it and that is why we have this mess".

These are the real Obama talking points, and you will find them all over. Obama is ready to swoop in and save us all with a federally run program that kicks out the business "middleman" that he hates.

After his health-care law surpassed the low-ball enrollment target of 7 million, President Obama staged a Rose Garden rally and zinged doubters: “Armageddon has not arrived.” At least he did not declare: “Mission Accomplished.”The country is years from knowing whether Obama’s overhaul of the health-care system fulfills the promise of delivering universal coverage. While large numbers of Americans have found the program very advantageous, including people who were formerly uninsured, many others have been forced to change plans or change doctors — contrary to Obama’s repeated promises.Obama tacitly admits the unintended consequences every time he waives a deadline or mandate in

A triumphant President Barack Obama declared Tuesday his signature medical insurance overhaul a success, saying it has made America´s health care system ´a lot better´ in a Rose Garden press conference. But buried in the 7.1 million enrollments he announced in a heavily staged appearance is a more unsettling reality. Numbers from a RAND Corporation study that has been kept under wraps suggest that barely 858,000 previously uninsured Americans – nowhere near 7.1 million – have paid for new policies and joined the ranks of the insured by Monday night.

In Texas, political opposition to President Obama’s health law is so strong that some residents believe, erroneously, that the program is banned in their state. But in Connecticut, a smoothly functioning website, run by competent managers, has successfully enrolled so many patients that officials are offering to sell their expertise to states like Maryland, which is struggling to sign people up for coverage. A 54-year-old white man has been left barely clinging to life after he was brutally beaten by a group of black men when he got out of his car to check on a young black boy he accidentally hit. Steve Utash, from suburban Roseville, was beaten into a coma Wednesday by an angry mob in a poverty-stricken Detroit neighborhood after David Harris, 10, ran in front of his truck on a busy street, but police insist the incident was not racially motivated. The gang also stole his wallet before leaving him for dead. Utash is in extremely critical

Attorney General Eric Holder disputed a Government Accountability Office report on his use of Justice Department airplanes for personal trips, saying it overstated the number of trips he took and failed to recognize that some trips were job-related. "My staff keeps telling me to take it easy, you know, well, this is one that gets me," Holder told Rep. Frank Wolf, R-Va., during a House Appropriations subcommittee hearing. "There was this notion that we´ve taken -- I think it was described as hundreds of personal trips. That was wrong. GAO counted flights, not round trips. And we looked at it

(Snip) Whether motivated by love, money, or the desire to rekindle a long-lost connection, black repatriation to Africa remains alive and well, even if it never quite became the high-volume, emotional return to African roots

Speculation that Romney might run again has largely been stoked by the reunion he planned to host last month in Park City, Utah, for members of his 2012 campaign and debate team and a string of recent public appearances. He has appeared on TV news shows 12 times in the past six months. That’s essentially on pace with Michigan GOP Rep. Mike Rogers, who led all national politicians last year with 26 appearances over 12 months. Romney has

Reclusive movie star Doris Day greeted fans with a rare smile and a wave from her balcony on Thursday as she rang in her 90th birthday. The Oscar-nominee appeared in great spirits as she made the rather regal gesture from her home in Carmel-by-the-Sea, on California´s north coast - a quiet little enclave also home to Clint Eastwood - the first time she´s been seen in public since 2008.
