Obama under attack as Americans
lose prior health plans

President Barack Obama is facing fresh attacks for his pledge that Americans who like their current healthcare plans can keep them under Obamacare, as reports pile up of thousands of Americans facing cancellation notices. Accusations that the pledge was misleading are potentially a deeper threat to Obama than the website glitches that have plagued Healthcare.gov since its October 1 launch and allowed only a trickle of people to sign up on new federal insurance exchanges. Obama has downplayed the problems with the website, saying it´s like a cash register not working, and has stressed that the underlying product of the

(For the life of me I don´t understand how anyone could have not known it was a lie the moment they heard it, yet such people do exist.)

They also want reams of personal, private information, beyond health related conditions.

Do generally pro-government people really accept this loss of privacy, these people who scream Murther! Murther! if anyone mentions restrictions on abortion??

The government-doctors will be looking up your you-know-what, and you will have no say in it. Tell your Liberal-Leftwing-Democrat friends they´d better think, better start thinking. Think.

Do they really trust the government, this regime, which is so blatantly lying and deceiving?

Are even Dems, including the Lefties among them, getting that sinking feeling that they are being MADE SUBSERVIENT to the government Leviathan?

It will consume everyone, sooner or later. It always does.

Please, please, please DON´T delay Obamacare. This rolling disaster is finally the silver bullet we´ve been hoping for to kill off these blood-sucking communists. The more people find out how bad their own costs are going to be, the greater the drubbing of the Democrats in 2014. Leave it alone. Let them find out how horrible a trap they´ve been put into by the Democrats.

Boggles the mind that the media still tries to white wash this disaster. Just for a moment imagine that this was a Republican plan...let that sink in and then imagine the media´s response. Think they would be parsing words? Heck no! The only thing good about this rollout is that people are waking up to the truth that Obama LIES and there is pain that comes from believing him. Sometimes we must learn the hard way. Pray that enough people see Obama and the democrat party for what they are, liars who can´t be trusted.

Nice try Reuters! I noticed yesterday that EVERYONE is shouting that OBAMA is to blame for this mess. Obama lied. Well...what about the DEMOCRAT CONGRESS who passed OBAMACARE? There is where the blame should rest. But, now that there is an election looming, the MEDIA is suddenly trying to take away blame from the DEMOCRATS who passed this Bill in the dead of night, and give it to Obama who doesn´t face another election. DO NOT let them get away with this! Place that blame on every single Democrat who voted for this Bill and USE that blame when they come up for re-election in 2014!

The silver lining in this is that the people complaining and losing their insurance or experiencing rate hikes with higher deductibles voted for Obama not once but twice.
The Obama voting idiots had to get hit in their wallets for their eyes to open up when they all voted for the Obama scheme. Wait until the IRS steals their refunds after they file their taxes.
Some people have to learn the hard way and I could have told them all that Obama was a communist fraud in 2007!

It´s till a Reuters article--note how it implies that the only people getting their policies cancelled are those who bought it on the individual market--even tho employers across the country are having to dump their employees´ coverage because the insurance doesn´t comply with Obamacare. Note also how it only refers to "mental health care" and "preventative care" when it addresses the new stuff all policies have to cover--again, no word about such garbage as requiring everyone, male, female, 80-years or 3 years old, to have maternity coverage, contraceptive coverage, sex-change operation coverage, etc, etc. They just can´t help it, they are hopeless shills for the dems.

#11 beat me to it.

#15, I truly want to keep Obama breathing so that ultimately he knows that he and his Saul Alinsky ideas have been rejected by Americans.

When Obama is rejected, I want the world to see that America is still a "shining city on a hill" and that we, as a nation, reject anything that extinguishes that light. The longer Obama is in office, more voters are beginning to "see the light" and to contrast our current despair to the past when we weren´t shackled by our government.

We fought a war in 1776 against an oppressive government on foreign shores. I pray every day for a George Washington to emerge and to lead us in battle (real or figuratively) against a regime much, much worse than King George III of England.

Obamacare completely undermines the HIPPA regulations. That point never seems to be discussed.Contrary to the HIPPA regs for providers to give out health care information
other than to the Insurance Carrier that will be reimbursing the treatment/condition. Patient must sign off for provider to even discuss with immediate family. I darn well know first hand because my wife is on MY plan and they will not allow me to access her account ( not that I have need to ).Now, if I told them I was from the Government, the IRS, the HHS, the FBI, or any other agency, they would have carte blanche into her
private matters.

My brother still blames the tea party for everything, says if he loses his pension that it is their fault. Here is my reply to him... You don’t get it. Obama is stealing all our money. He is stealing our pensions to fund this Barrack boondoggle. He is the one hanging us out to dry. Most of the people that are with the tea party are on social security. Look at the pictures. The majority of them are old. Do you have a clue about how he is treating our military and our elderly? My heart breaks that you won’t listen to my warning. I won’t bother trying to warn you anymore. In a very short time it will become so obvious that no matter what the spin and lies are even people like yourself will come to the realization that there is now some very bad people lead by the president in charge of things. I love you. I hope each of us in the way best for us find a happy life.

But in their defense they just want to make sure we all have enough health insurance. I guess there must be thousands of 40-50 year old men who require maternity care \s.

I am beginning to think that Rush is really an Establishment guy. He was saying that Karl Rove was saying something to the effect that Sebelius´ testimony would go nowhere -just a dog and pony show, etc. (I pretty much don´t listen to Rush v much anymore because I already know what he´s telling me from Lucianne.)

Of course, it will go nowhere if the information does not move out of the hearing room!!!!! Ignorance is still not bliss even when about this horrible Obamacare.

I thought her testimony was very, very enlightening. Great questions from our Republicans - even when their time was cut to two minutes. Started watching about ten thirty or so, and don´t remember all, but it is so important for everyone who got a notice that their healthcare plans "fail to include essential benefits required by law" could have lost their healthcare plan for a very simple reason, as we heard today, that a 31 year old, healthy, single male did not have a healthcare plan that includes maternity benfits - one size fits all. Guess a 65 years old woman loses her plan, similarly, because her plan did not include coverage for birth control pills. And in order for the 31 year old and 65 year old to retain their plans their cost has to be increased to cover those who need maternity care and birth control pills. Obamacare is such a bloody sham, and everyone who watched Sebelius´ testimony today should be letting everyone know about her uninformed or dishonest answers to questions.

Folks, this isn´t going to hurt them. They do NOT care that this has been a debacle. So why do we keep acting as if they would care?

The "failure" of the 0bamacare launch is actually their success. It was designed to fail. They want single payer. That is their goal. And this is how they expect to achieve it. When are we going to comprehend this?

Indeed, #3. But, when looking at the bigger picture, the attacks are not being aimed at just at Obie. We have to remember that Obie is the current symbol of modern-day progressivism. By extension ObieCare is a symbol of progressivism and has been a work in progress for almost a century. If the citizenry rises up big time and ObieCare (progressive style) is soon wiped out, so is modern-day progressivism for a good long while.

Then, maybe someone with some knowledge of what they are doing, can fix this. I realize that the people who can´t afford health care are going to the emergeny room with a ingrown toenail or a flu bug and it is costing the hospitals big time, so there has to be a way to fix that.....but don´t ruin the whole country to make that happen.

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT RUSH: I´ve gotta tell, another little thing about Nelson Mandela. Do you realize in a couple of ways, maybe even more than a couple, Nelson Mandela has more in common or had more in common with Clarence Thomas than he does with Barack Obama? For example, Nelson Mandela (even prior to becoming president, but certainly after he became president of South Africa) insisted on compliance with his country´s constitution. He insisted on it. Obama looks at the US Constitution as an obstacle and makes end runs around it every day, practically. In that sense... These are the kind of

The online insurance marketplace relays information about new customers in ´834´ transaction forms to the private insurance companies that provide the health plans. HealthCare.gov serves people in 36 states, while 14 states are running their own websites. "We believe nine of 10 transactions are being successfully transmitted," the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, or CMS, spokeswoman Julie Bataille said at a news briefing.

To fully appreciate what former South African president Nelson Mandela was able to accomplish, it is necessary to hearken back to the South Africa he found when he emerged from prison in 1990, and what the country was like in those critical four years between his release and his election to the presidency in 1994. Put simply, South Africa was a violent, dangerous and heavily-armed place teetering precariously on the edge of an all-out race war. And in the early 1990s, it was entirely unclear which way the country would go. On one side, embittered white rejectionists were refusing to

Nelson Mandela was the most famous black man in history. He transcended race barriers to become an exemplar of human generosity of spirit. His towering personality made possible the peaceful transfer of power in South Africa from white minority to black majority rule. If he was less effective as president of his country than he had been as the symbol of resistance to apartheid, he demonstrated statesmanship unmatched in Africa. He inspired love as much as respect, and became regarded by hundreds of millions of people as a secular saint. More was asked of him, and sometimes claimed for him,

Former South African President Nelson Mandela has died at age 95 of complications from a recurring lung infection. The anti-apartheid leader and Nobel Peace Prize laureate was a beloved figure around the world, a symbol of reconciliation from a country with a brutal history of racism. Mandela was released from prison in 1990 after nearly 30 years for plotting to overthrow South Africa´s apartheid government. In 1994, in a historic election, he became the nation´s first black leader. Mandela stepped down in 1999 after a single term and retired from political and public life.

The victim in an early morning shooting in Walker County has been identified as Ronald Westbrook, a 72-year-old Alzheimer´s patient. Westbrook was shot outside the home of Joe Hendricks on Cottage Crest Court about 4 am. Westbrook lived about two-and-a-half miles from where he was shot and had apparently wandered away from home. The sheriff said Hendricks heard a suspicious sound outside the house and called 911.

Neurosurgeon Ben Carson says the White House wanted him to apologize for “offending” President Obama after he famously delivered a conservative message at the National Prayer Breakfast last year. Carson, the former director of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital, recalls the events surrounding his 2013 speech in his new book, One Nation: What We Can All Do To Save America’s Future. The Daily Caller obtained an advance copy of the book, which is set for release May 20. “He did not appear to be hostile or angry,” Carson writes of Obama, “but within a matter of minutes after the conclusion of

On Fox News Sunday, political analyst Brit Hume said that Eric Holder’s claim that his treatment at the hands of Representative Louie Gohmert (R-TX) at a House hearing this week was unprecedented toward an Attorney General, made him a “crybaby,” and that he and President Barack Obama had in fact benefited “enormously” from being the first African Americans in their respective positions. “This strikes me as kinda crybaby stuff from Holder,” Hume said. “My sense about this is both Eric Holder and Barack Obama have benefited politically enormously from the fact that they are African American and the first to

They’re both qualified, respectful of each other (shocker!), and represent the vast majority of middle America. So what’s not to like about another Clinton/Bush race for 2016? When you mention the prospect of Clinton vs. Bush 2016 a funny thing happens. First, there is the reflexive response: "Oh no, not again. We don´t need more dynastic politics in this country." But upon further reflection, you realize Jeb Bush vs. Hillary Clinton would be a great race and actually good for the country. Let´s review. QUALIFICATIONS—THEY’VE BOTH GOT THEM. Barack Obama won the presidency because in an election where the premium was on change, it mattered little

A rapid shift to wind and solar power is needed if the world is to avoid catastrophic global warming, the United Nations warns in a crucial report today. Emissions of greenhouse gases need to be cut by up to 70 per cent before 2050 to control climate change, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) says. ‘Large-scale changes in energy systems’ are required, with coal power stations to be switched off and replaced by wind and solar. And the transformation needs to be made in the next 15 years or controlling climate change will become increasingly harder and more expensive. The report was published

Chelsea Clinton says when people ask her these days whether she wants to go into politics, her answer isn’t an automatic “no.” The 34-year-old former first daughter told Fast Company in an interview published Monday, “for so long the answer was just a visceral no. Not because I had made any conscientious, deliberate decision, but since people had been asking for as long as literally I could remember, it was no." Now, the only child of former President Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton explains, "I live in a city and a state and a country where I

President Obama inspired a generation of young people to support his historic election in 2008. And in 2012, despite the struggles of his first term, Mr. Obama still managed to win the support of a full 60% of voters age 18-29. But the man who once dreamed of being a transformative leader in the Reagan mold is inspiring few of those young people to follow his lead. "For all the talk about the movement that elected Mr. Obama, the more notable movement of Obama supporters has been away from politics. It appears that few of the young people who voted

Although the Civil Rights Act, the landmark legislation which just reached its 50th anniversary, made great strides in desegregating the economy, economic discrimination is still widespread, and anti-discrimination legislation alone can never rectify the economic damage inflicted upon blacks by slavery and our Jim Crow apartheid regime. The Civil Rights Act was a mild reform, all things considered, but one conservatives fought with vigor and one many conservatives are still bitter about to this day. When the Civil Rights Act passed in 1964, the primary purpose was to root out discrimination in public accommodations (like hotels and movie theaters)

On Saturday, I wrote about the standoff at Bundy Ranch. That post drew a remarkable amount of traffic, even though, as I wrote then, I had not quite decided what to make of the story. Since then, I have continued to study the facts and have drawn some conclusions. Here they are. First, it must be admitted that legally, Bundy doesn’t have a leg to stand on. The Bureau of Land Management has been charging him grazing fees since the early 1990s, which he has refused to pay. Further, BLM has issued orders limiting the area on which Bundy’s cows can

LAS VEGAS — The Nevada Republican Party stripped opposition to abortion and gay marriage from its platform Saturday as state convention delegates instead focused on judging fellow Republicans on their worthiness to serve in office and adherence to GOP values. The platform, with few changes, was adopted overwhelmingly as the Las Vegas convention stretched late into the evening. The vote mirrors that of the Clark County GOP, which voted earlier to remove platform language defining marriage as between a man and a woman and statements opposing abortion. Many Republicans are re-evaluating their strong stances on conservative social issues as public

Funny question in the headline, yes? But since President Obama worries more about the threat of terrorists´ improvised nuclear device going off in a major American city than anything Russia can throw at us, I was wondering if the government had deigned to share with us citizens any tips for, you know, surviving something their own intelligence points to as the likeliest unlikely Black Swan event. Well, no. And yes. No — very few people in Washington, D.C., who work for the government have any idea what they would do if a 10-kiloton nuclear device exploded at the intersection of 16th and K

A Russian fighter jet made multiple, close-range passes near an American warship in the Black Sea for more than 90 minutes Saturday amid escalating tensions in the region, a U.S. military official said Monday. In the first public account of the incident, the official said the Russian Fencer flew within 1,000 yards of the USS Donald Cook, a Navy destroyer, at about 500 feet above sea level. Ship commanders considered the actions provocative and inconsistent with international agreements, prompting the ship to issue several radio queries and warnings. The fighter appeared to be unarmed and never was in danger of
