Even Oprah isn’t on

New York Post, by Edward Klein

As the White House was gearing up to sell ObamaCare to the American people last summer, Valerie Jarrett, the president’s pointwoman on a host of issues, phoned Oprah Winfrey. She invited the Queen of All Media to join celebrities, including Amy Poehler, Jennifer Hudson and Alicia Keys, to meet with President Obama and discuss how they could generate publicity for his health-care law.Oprah refused. “All of Oprah’s top people thought she would go, because when the president invites you to the White House, most people automatically say yes,” said one of Oprah’s closest advisers. “But Oprah said she didn’t have the

What? Is this guy the king that we have to worry about insulting him. I read that sentence and closed the window containing the article, immediately. Not going to waste my time.

Very interesting article. I do not pay any mind to Oprah, for the most part, but having read that article it strikes me as true. I see her magazine on the rack at the Supermarket and I do frequently watch certain shows on her channel, and do not see any propaganda for the Dear Leader.

- Always look forward to reading Edward Klein´s latest. His resume gives him such credibility.

- Oprah´s enthusiastic 2008 Obama support cost her untold millions of existing fan base, and likely billions in revenue for all things O. So duh, of course she´s keeping her distance from Obama, especially regarding something as nation-bifurcating as ObamaCare.

- These other celebrities now hawking overpriced ObamaCare to young people all have tens of million dollars of net worth and are economically a stratosphere above any gooberment health care program... Like all elites they can easily afford and purchase the best top tier health care. So they have a whole lot of nerve pushing any health care program on us little people making less than $300K a year. And for young people the rates are double and tripled and Obama needs them as suckers, so that´s really unconscionable for elite celebs to hawk it.
Psst celebrity hucksters... Since you, yourself, are not going to use ObamaCare, why don´t you just shut up and entertain us.

The Oprah empire took a major shelling dollar wise when the queen of all media tooled up for the Obama election.

She managed to hack off at least half of a national viewing audience. The OWN cable channel launch, was a bomb.

Sorry Barry, it´s business you know.

So, Oprah was used and abused by Obama and his string-pullers, Michelle and Valjar, then refused to be used again after they slighted her? This parting has nothing to do with obamacare.

If she were not such a racist little opportunist I could almost feel sorry for her. She helped to get one of her "own" into the White House, now her skin isn´t black enough to be invited to the White House for dinner.

Until 2008 Oprah had incredible instincts as to giving her largely middlebrow white female audience what they wanted. Perhaps she has recovered those instincts after her flirtation with seeking the approval of the highbrow academic set.

Just another example of Obama and crew using and abusing people, making false promises and then tossing them aside.

No sympathy here for Oprah. She is largely responsible for him being elected in the first place.

I see some hope with the popularity of Mr. Bill from McCook and Wild Bill For America gaining popularity on YouTube. I really think the younger generations are looking for adults they can look up to for guidance - as opposed to "parents" who want to be their friends.

After the 2008 election, Oprah expected to be part of the "in crowd and even an adviser (they could have used her instincts). Michelle reportedly didn´t want any "fat" people aboard. Michelle and ValJar didn´t want to share the power. This could be a feud going back to Jeremiah Wright´s ( God Damn America) church.

Fears that high-speed traders have been rigging the U.S. stock market went mainstream last week thanks to allegations in a book by financial author Michael Lewis, but there may be a more serious threat to investors: the increasing amount of trading that happens outside of exchanges. Some former regulators and academics say so much trading is now happening away from exchanges that publicly quoted prices for stocks on exchanges may no longer properly reflect where the market is. And this problem could cost investors far more money than any shenanigans related to high frequency trading. When the average investor, or even
