ObamaCare: It´s all about control
Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, by Robert E. Moffit

On health care, the president´s pile of broken promises keeps getting higher. Consider this gem from Aug. 20, 2009: “Let´s be clear about the fact that nobody has proposed anything close to a government takeover of health care.” Well, yes, somebody did. President Obama is now well on his way to orchestrating the federal government´s takeover of Americans´ health care. Commandeering the resources of major federal departments, particularly the Department of Health and Human Services and the IRS, the administration and its allies in Congress have created numerous federal bureaus, commissions and programs and have issued thousands of pages of rules, regulations,

Better to say: "Obama is all about control," and to base out actions on eliminating it and him.

Our health care system in this country is on the verge of being destroyed by a few men and women in Washington DC who will be exempt from the law they passed in the dead of night in a purely partisan vote. This is all about control. You don´t like the care, then we need more money via taxes. It will be enslavement to a faceless, nameless, bureaucrat via the medical coding system. No physician or patient input needed.

The punk in the white house has done what he promised, "Fundamentally changed America."

He and the far left dems have set the U.S. on a course to be a socialist country.

Just like all of the failed socialist countries in Europe that are now underwater with their cradle to grave entitlements and trying to dig themselves out from under.

Barry and the dems think that they´re smarter and will do it right.

It has ever been thus, every other country that´s drowning in socialized debt thought they were smarter too.

Strap in and enjoy the decline....

I am not a hardhead, and actually lost major respect for Ted Cruz with his "no end in sight- defund Obamacare" crusade (which would NEVER pass the Senate or Obama) because it took eyes off 2014 and the elections we need to win to get rid of the Bill. But also, looking now at Ryan´s proposals, etc., can see nothing for the Republicans beyond giving in: we certainly can´t trust Obama to negotiate on anything AFTERWARD! And, as I understand it, that poll that has everyone in the Beltway in terror was heavily weighted with Democrats AND Civil servants. It flies in the face of ALL the other recent polls in that it says Republicans are being blamed for the shut down. If we come out of this empty handed, our base will be furious! I hope we don´t get all the stay at homes we got with Romney, which cost us the election and again gave us Obama!

Well, what I´m really looking forward to is after the GOP does its standard fall down, roll over and soil itself move of courage, the Weekly Standard crowd will tell us, like they did with the Roberts decision how utterly brilliant the Republicans were in their giving Obama absolutely EVERYTHING he demands. I´m just so tickled with the GOP´s never ending rush to be "cave-o-licious." I wonder how I know that will happen.

The radical left sure learned from their mistakes from the 1960s and 1970s when it went around spouting off their mouths, blew up buildings and people to advance its agenda. All dialed in now with a stealth approach - who and where are they? Yes, Soros is one, but where is the real radical machine hiding? And now Obie is their puppet to gain control of you and me by the health care takeover. Certainly, Moffit´s piece is not a revelation to most of us on L.com, but heart breaking to think that no one Washington has stood up to Obie´s thuggery. No one has stood up to Obie´s propaganda machine. This is reminiscent of Stalinist Russia except everything is spoken and written in English now. I hope it is not the Stockholm syndrome.

The dems are the "BORG". Indeed it´s all about controlling people. There was never a healthcare problem to begin with. The problem was skyrocketing premiums. Now it´s going to be less healthcare and even higher premiums. If the government really wanted to help lower premiums it could have simply allowed more insurance companies to offer health insurance and giving the who offered the best deal a huge tax break or some other profit incentive. Health insurance is confusing enough for the private sector, we don´t need the government making it worse. After all social security worked out so well for us. I never met anyone excited about retiring on that.

We still have power we just don´t use it. There must be an uprising like none before. I admit I don´t know exactly how to start the fire but I´m working on it. I am sure of one thing I will not meekly submit.

Just the money spent so far would be enough to insure the uninsured for years. So we know that was never the plan. #2 is right, our health care system is about to be destroyed and us right along with it.

The difference between what Republicans see acceptable and what Democrats hath wrought is almost immaterial. "Repeal Obamacare" is boob bait - the GOP has no intention of repealing, but will "save the best parts." There are a lot of conservatives who are half pregnant on this issue because people demand cheap or free medical services, and we already have Medicare and Medicaid...so what´s a little expansion? So, maybe the individual mandate isn´t popular, but we can raise funds opposing that.

A refresher:

An AMA pamphlet warned in 1945 “Would socialized medicine lead to socialization of other phases of life? Lenin thought so. He declared socialized medicine is the keystone to the arch of the socialist state.”

More from the AMA: "Now, back in 1927, an American socialist, Norman Thomas, six times candidate for president on the Socialist Party ticket, said the American people would never vote for socialism. But he said under the name of liberalism, the American people would adopt every fragment of the socialist program…

One of the traditional methods of imposing statism or socialism on a people has been by way of medicine. It’s very easy to disguise a medical program as a humanitarian project…Now, the American people, if you put it to them about socialized medicine and gave them a chance to choose, would unhesitatingly vote against it."

Still true today.

The ACA will not allow the practice of medicine to benefit Americans. It simply won´t work in a free country. But Obama asserts that it will, at any cost.

The Soviet Union didn´t benefit its citizens, either. But it survived for over seven decades. At the point of the gun. That is what the Bolshevik plans.

No.14, to light the fire, how about starting a movement immediately for two constitutional amendments:
1. Restore true checks and balances by reigning in the judiciary; and
2. Get rid of the current taxation system in favor of one where every resident of the USA pays for the cost of government.

It´s straight communist agitation to put fear into the hearts of Americans. Chaos is part of the plan. Chaos creates more fear. Communist medicine, IRS police state
government control of the minds and bodies of all who submit, is the communist weapon
of obama and his marxist totalitarians.
The weapon is propaganda from a monopoly of communists like Sawyer, Pelley, Williams,
Leninerman, Whoopi, Walters, all the people who play actor on "news" TV, find nothing wrong with comunist tyranny. Propaganda and
bad, unconstitutional law, equals control.
And Hollywood communists like Clooney and Hanks, put the finishing touches on it trying to make slavery look acceptable.

Lets fact it, right now the liberal Democrats are the dominant political movement in American politics. What they want will eventually become reality. While the wimpy Republicans may stall they usually eventually cave and the liberal Democrats get their way.

The liberal Democrats rule anytime it comes to social policy changes, and that will only get worse with the demographic changes that are going to overtake America in the years ahead.

If the Republicans cave on immigration reform, and it looks like that will happen, upwards of 20 million illegal aliens will be legalized and will be placed on a liberal Democrat designed special path to citizenship program, chaperoned at taxpayer´s expense by the very liberal ethnic and immigrant rights groups that are politically allied to the liberal Democrats, ending up with the vast majority becoming new socialist oriented Democrat voters.

Because of the family reunification provisions that the Democrats have already inserted in the immigration laws, all those millions of legalized aliens will be able to bring their foreign born close relatives here in numbers that could easily amount to another 20 million or so Democrat voters in the years ahead.

With that many new Democrat voters, the liberal Democrats will easily be able to flip enough key states to the Democrat column to ensure that the Republicans never again have a chance to win future national elections and remain a distinct political minority. That´s one of the elementary ways that the liberal Democrats plan to transform America.

Any and all "negoagions" that take place are simply the pubies caveing in to what the dims want. Just like dingy Harry tell them that they will NEVER accept ANYTHING that defunds the ACA. Period. And every single dim in both houses stand firm on this.

Nothing can be done. Boerner and other members of the Republican party are trying, but they are up against a professional socialist who learned all the ways to do this in the Chicago Mafia. There is no going back. Jesse Jackson was their teacher. He showed them how to talk to the people and make the people think he was their best fried when all the time, he had his hand in their pocket with their money. He would tell them that if they did not do what he said, their company would fail and he saw to it that it did. That´s what Obama is doing.

Too many of the other side are on board with this diabolical plan, and too many of their supposed rivals are too cowardly to put up a fight. Our rights are vanishing to thin air.

This is so far removed from the land of the free, it is not even funny, it is socialism on the verge of becoming communism.

And the majority of people accepted it willfully by putting this tyrant into office. Let me make it clear, President Obama is evil, his administration is evil and pretty much all the Democrats are evil. They are drunk with power and the people have become their political pawns.

Just ahead of a possible Hillary run for the presidency, the Clinton Library released a new load of documents from President Bill Clinton’s years in the White House. One of those documents attempts to explain Hillary´s "vast right-wing conspiracy" claim in which the Clinton administration accused Republican staffers of colluding with "extremists" on the Internet to hurt the Clintons. On January 27, 1998, Hillary Clinton appeared on NBC´s Today Show. As the nation awaits Hillary Clinton´s decision of whether or not she will run for president in 2016, a cache of 7,500 pages of newly released documents from Bill Clinton´s years in the White House show some familiar political themes. One revelation is that Bill Clinton worried that a massive new healthcare scheme would cause Americans to lose their insurance. In 1993, the President allowed his wife, first lady Hillary Clinton, to become the face of an Obamacare-like takeover of the nation´s healthcare system. The plan was sarcastically dubbed Hillarycare. But as these internal documents show, in what is now a

The exact identify of the aircraft remains a mystery, but rumours abound that it could be a secret jet. ´The photo is grainy because it was taken with a hand-held maxed-out 400mm telephoto lens through a cloud layer and then it was severely cropped to bring it up even close,´ says Jeff Templin, who took the photo on 16 April. ´There is no way to know the altitude and no way to judge its

Bush versus Clinton 2016: would a battle

Could the 2016 presidential election turn into a contest between a Bush and a Clinton? Political debate in America last week revolved around whether or not Jeb Bush, Florida´s former governor who is son or brother to two former US presidents – both named George – would jump into the 2016 battle for the Republican presidential nomination. For a nation that fought a war for independence from the hereditary power of the British Crown, in the person of another fellow named George, the concept of nominating a third Bush to run for the White House against a second Clinton (the former

"I´m over here!" shouts Kate Humble, and she of Springwatch and Lambing Live gambols towards me, closing the gate on a field of anxious goats and their Disney-cute babies. She´s carrying a bucket. "I was just about to muck out," she announces, and I´m reminded this is a working farm in the Wye Valley and in no way a TV set. The photographer has already done his work and gone. Apparently Humble had no idea he was coming. It is hard to think of another TV person on the planet for whom an impromptu photoshoot while wearing a well-loved fleece and

Alert shoppers are accustomed to watching food prices go up and down. But a string of forces—from droughts to diseases—is raising the cost of a trip to the grocery store at a rapid clip. And it looks like it will be a while before the price pressure eases. Some of that pressure is coming from California—the source of roughly half the nation´s fruits and vegetables—where a long-running drought is forcing farmers and ranchers to cut production. After the driest year on record, large sections of farmland are expected to lay fallow this year as the Golden State copes with an ongoing water

Sen. Dean Heller (R-Nev.) on Friday called for a Senate hearing into the dispute between Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy and the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) over cattle grazing. Heller described as "patriots" the people who came armed to Bundy’s ranch after the BLM began to seize his cattle for refusing to pay grazing fees and fines that now total more than $1 million. Heller debated the ranch standoff on a Nevada television station with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), who has called the armed Bundy supporters “domestic terrorists.” "What senator Reid may call domestic terrorists, I call patriots," Heller said.

If expanding the guest list to include Michelle Obama at graduation for high school students in the Kansas capital city means fewer seats for friends and family, some students and their parents would prefer the first lady not attend. A furor over what the Topeka school district considers an honor has erupted after plans were announced for Obama to address a combined graduation ceremony for five area high schools next month an 8,000-seat arena. For some, it was the prospect of a tight limit on the number of seats allotted to each graduate. For others, it was the notion that Obama´s speech,

After presenting at the Academy Awards this year, Kim Novak didn’t want to leave her house. The Hitchcock screen siren, 81, was too humiliated to venture from her home near the Rogue River in Oregon. She read the cruel posts and Internet snark about her appearance, and it was just too much. “It got to me like it gets kids and teenagers,” she told the Associated Press. The “Vertigo” actress, considered one of the great beauties in her day, posted a note on her Facebook wall Thursday, acknowledging that she’d gotten fat injections in her face and addressing her halted

The White House is going to war with another fox — and this time, it’s personal. The Wall Street Journal reports that a red fox has been causing chaos around the White House, tripping security alarms, digging up Michelle’s garden and distracting the president from his duties. The Secret Service won’t give any details about how often the fox trips the White House’s obviously sophisticated security alarms, but rest assured, officials say, they’re watching. President Obama was apparently “stunned” to see the fox roaming freely down the oft-photographed White House colonnade, home to the world’s shortest, but most dramatic, outdoor strolls. It’s the stuff of Westerns: a showdown on the desert plains, the big bad government against an underdog farmer. Though the story has only grabbed national headlines in the past several days, rancher Cliven Bundy has illegally grazed cattle on the Nevada land surrounding his farm for over 20 years. He hasn’t paid grazing fees since 1993, and refuses to renew the necessary grazing permit.(Snip)Rather than using the avenues and pathways presented to him, Bundy has staunchly declared his own law and allegiances. Unfortunately, reality doesn’t work this way. If only it did—we could rebel for paying stupid taxes, refuse to

A group of seven multiracial Washington and Lee University (W&L) students are demanding the school remove all Confederate flags from campus and "acknowledge" General Robert E. Lee´s "dishonorable side." According to the Roanoke Times, "seven multiracial students, calling themselves ´The Committee,´" have also demanded the school "acknowledge and apologize for participating in chattel slavery." They want recognition of "Martin Luther King Jr. Day on the undergraduate campus" and an end to "neo-Confederates" marching across campus "to the Lee Chapel on Lee-Jackson Day." The students say they will "engage in civil disobedience" if their demands are not met by September 1st. They added: "The

For Hillary Clinton, having her own baby grandchild to kiss on the campaign trail, could be one of the biggest boosts to her possible presidential election campaign. Although the former Secretary of State and First Lady has not said if she will run in 2016, the arrival of her first grandchild will soften her image, analysts have said. While Chelsea only revealed her pregnancy on Thursday, supporters of her mother have already started cooing over a possible baby in the White House. With the Clintons having a near-royal status in the U.S., the announcement of a new arrival due this fall has sent

GREENSBORO, Ga. — Golf holes the size of pizzas. Soccer balls on the back nine. A mulligan on every hole. These are some of the measures — some would say gimmicks — that golf courses across the country have experimented with to stop people from quitting the game. Golf has always reveled in its standards and rich tradition. But increasingly a victim of its own image and hidebound ways, golf has lost five million players in the last decade, according to the National Golf Foundation, with 20 percent of the existing 25 million golfers apt to quit in the next few years. People under 35 have especially spurned the game, saying it takes too

Hi, everybody. For millions of Americans, this time of year holds great meaning. Earlier this week, we hosted a Passover Seder at the White House, and joined Jewish families around the world in their re-tellings of the story of the Exodus and the victory of faith over oppression. And this Sunday, Michelle, Malia, Sasha, and I will join our fellow Christians around the world in celebrating the Resurrection of Christ, the salvation he offered the world, and the hope that comes with the Easter season. These holy days have their roots in miracles that took place long ago. And yet, they still inspire us, guide us, and strengthen us today. They remind us of our

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Thursday that a family of dissident ranchers and their supporters in his home state of Nevada are ´domestic terrorists,´ citing this week´s standoff with the federal government´s Bureau of Land Management. Cliven Bundy has refused to pay grazing fees for land where his hundreds of cattle roam every day. The land is owned by the federal government, which says he owes more than $1 million. Bundy, however, insists that since his family has been using the land since the 1870s, Uncle Sam can´t collect the grazing fees. A tense standoff developed this week after

To "honor the dignity and work of immigrants," Democratic House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi helps Bishop Marc Andrus wash the feet of two children Thursday at Saint John the Evangelist Episcopal Church in San Francisco. Pelosi also used the occasion to talk about passing HR15 - bipartisan immigration legislation that her office says would "reduce the deficit by nearly $1 trillion, secure our borders, unite our families, protect our workers and provide an earned pathway to citizenship." The Democratic leader´s ceremony coincides with Pope Francis´ similar ceremony in Rome to mark Holy Week.

WASHINGTON--Rushing to an afternoon vote last month, Sen. Ted Cruz hopped the underground tram to the U.S. Capitol from his office across the street. The Texan planted his black ostrich cowboy boots in the middle of the small subway car without getting so much as a nod from the other senators--Republican or Democrat--amiably chatting or huddled in their seats. Mr. Cruz finds himself standing alone a lot these days. His response to the cold shoulders: "The establishment despised Ronald Reagan" before he became president, "but the people loved him." For the 43-year-old Republican, the Reagan name illuminates his political life´s

Imagine a vendor on the National Mall, selling burgers and dogs, who hasn’t paid his rent in 20 years. He refuses to recognize his landlord, the National Park Service, as a legitimate authority. Every court has ruled against him, and fines have piled up. What’s more, the effluents from his food cart are having a detrimental effect on the spring grass in the capital. Would an armed posse come to his defense, aiming their guns at the park police? Would the lawbreaker get prime airtime on Fox News, breathless updates in the Drudge Report, a sympathetic ear from Tea Party Republicans?
