´Truckers for the Constitution´ Plan to Slow
D.C. Beltway, Arrest Congressmen

US News & World Report, by Steve Nelson

Original Article

Posted By:PChristopher, 10/8/2013 2:12:42 AM

Tractor-trailer drivers will intentionally clog the inner loop of the Washington, D.C., beltway beginning on the morning of Oct. 11, according to a coordinator of the upcoming "Truckers Ride for the Constitution" rally. Organizers of the three-day ride want to call attention to a litany of trucker frustrations and express their disapproval of national political leaders. Earl Conlon, a Georgia trucker who is handling logistics for the protest, told U.S. News tractor-trailer drivers will circle the beltway "three lanes deep" as he rides with other participants to Congress to seek the arrest of congressmen

Oh, this should be entertaining.

I´m happy to see this happening. It is PAST time for citizens to push back against this arrogant government.

Of course, most whom just complain and do nothing will turn their collective noses up at the antic of these truckers . . . after all, they just don´t measure up, you know.

Not true. The original group is saying this is being promoted by other trucking groups to disrupt their drive.

Sounds like it´s time for Burt Reynolds tobe
the guest truck driver star, using Jerry Lee Lewis´ incredible SMOKEY AND THE BANDIT theme. Any peaceful act of civil disobedience will encourage more Americans to SPEAK UP and defy the administraion and Congressional blasphemers of the Constitution and their Hitlerian press and TV Media. Get out the SMOKEY AND THE BANDIT sound track out and enjoy the day.

I´m reminded of a film of a farmer protesting in either France or Belgium. He had a tractor pulled manure wagon that he drove into town, pulled up in front of City Hall, and slung TONS of manure all over the front steps and entrance. I can picture this in front of every worthless alphabet agency in DC.

#8. I remember Kent State very well. A bunch of drugged up hippies and radicals qwho hated the military and authority of any kind (Bill Ayers wannabes) were out of control on the campus, the National Guard was called in. The hippie radical kooks threw feces and bottles at the National Guard.
Very different from a bunch of truckers, and I bet some of those drivers are also in the National Guard or are former military.

Looks like the truckers have a CON-VOY in the making -- a fitting and appropriate answer to the Barrycader

The Revolutionary War was the mother of all civil disobedience. Just think how much courage it took to throw the King of England off our backs in 1776!!! Now think of the courage it took to rescue England, France, Italy and rest of Western Europe from the mother of all evil regimes since the fall of the Roman Empire!

Freedom, liberty, and intolerance for tyranny and its dictators is built into America´s DNA. Because of our Judeo/Christian national heritage, we don´t suffer those evil kinds of regimes for long before "We the People" rise up to correct the situation.

God bless the "Truckers for the Constitution", the TEA Party, the bikers who have and are fighting back in great numbers. Soon more will join us. I really feel that the closure of the WWII Memorial was a watershed moment - it took 80 and 90 year-old men who ignored the barriers to show us the way. Obama will soon learn that you can´t "barrycade" freedom and liberty for very long.

Will the pro-amnesty supporters be outnumbered? Probably 5-1, but State Media will offer little coverage to anything marginally anti-government. Not a good combination for illegal immigrant job stealers to come up against those who deliver every product we don´t grow ourselves.

I like the siege idea. We may want to look back towards the medieval period for tactical ideas, as our modern totalitarians are in effect “neofeudalists”. (I think I just made up a new political designation and word. How progressive of me!)

My personal favorite from the middle ages is the trebuchet. I’m sure there’s a patriot or two among the Pumpkin Chunkers that would be happy to put their machines into action.

Simple math . . the Capital Beltway´s length is 64 miles (337,920 ft.) x 3 lanes = 192 miles (or 1,013,760 ft.) . . an order-of-magnitude 10,000 tractor-trailer rigs would be needed to turn most of the Beltway into a parking lot. If this group can round up that many indy truckers without the Dims friends´ Teamsters harassment, God bless ´em.

Timing this action w/ a Monday morning commute would have greater impact.

BTW #11, it´s Marine "Corps", or in Barry-speak Marine "Corpse".

I assumed the rally was to protest diesel prices or interstate commerce regs.
Nope. They want to arrest / kidnap Congressmen.
"If all I get is one or two congressmen walked out of there in handcuffs, that will be a shot across the bow
that will ripple across
all branches of government. ...

" D.C. commuters who wish to be allowed past the convoy must have "T2SDA" – an acronym for the event´s
original name, "Truckers to Shut Down America" – written on their vehicle, he said."

" ...we´re asking for the arrest of everyone in government who has violated their oath of office."

They´re going to try and arrest members of Congress for treason for aiding the Syrian rebels.

Sounds like a bunch of kooks , inconveniencing those who work and live in DC and threatening Congressmen.

I hope they´re careful - Zippy is always looking for a convenient opportunity to declare martial law to, uh, "preserve the Union, protect the people" (I mean "folks"), but also suspend the Constitution, seize guns and open up the camps to house those opposed to his policies. It might be simpler for him this way than having to stage a fake attack on himself as an excuse.

Senators blocked President Obama’s nominee to lead the Justice Department’s civil rights division Wednesday in a bipartisan filibuster, with opponents saying his history defending a convicted cop-killer in the Supreme Court made him a poor choice. The defeat of Debo P. Adegbile, who as an attorney for the NAACP backed appeals by former Black Panther Mumia Abu-Jamal, is a major blow to Mr. Obama. Democrats changed the rules last year to overcome filibusters with just 50 votes, but Majority Leader Harry Reid couldn’t even muster all of his own troops Wednesday.

President Obama was apparently “stunned” to see the fox roaming freely down the oft-photographed White House colonnade, home to the world’s shortest, but most dramatic, outdoor strolls. These are some of the measures — some would say gimmicks — that golf courses across the country have experimented with to stop people from quitting the game. Golf has always reveled in its standards and rich tradition. But increasingly a victim of its own image and hidebound ways, golf has lost five million players in the last decade, according to the National Golf Foundation, with 20 percent of the existing 25 million golfers apt to quit in the next few years. People under 35 have especially spurned the game, saying it takes too

Hi, everybody. For millions of Americans, this time of year holds great meaning. Earlier this week, we hosted a Passover Seder at the White House, and joined Jewish families around the world in their re-tellings of the story of the Exodus and the victory of faith over oppression. And this Sunday, Michelle, Malia, Sasha, and I will join our fellow Christians around the world in celebrating the Resurrection of Christ, the salvation he offered the world, and the hope that comes with the Easter season. These holy days have their roots in miracles that took place long ago. And yet, they still inspire us, guide us, and strengthen us today. They remind us of our

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Thursday that a family of dissident ranchers and their supporters in his home state of Nevada are ´domestic terrorists,´ citing this week´s standoff with the federal government´s Bureau of Land Management. Cliven Bundy has refused to pay grazing fees for land where his hundreds of cattle roam every day. The land is owned by the federal government, which says he owes more than $1 million. Bundy, however, insists that since his family has been using the land since the 1870s, Uncle Sam can´t collect the grazing fees. A tense standoff developed this week after

To "honor the dignity and work of immigrants," Democratic House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi helps Bishop Marc Andrus wash the feet of two children Thursday at Saint John the Evangelist Episcopal Church in San Francisco. Pelosi also used the occasion to talk about passing HR15 - bipartisan immigration legislation that her office says would "reduce the deficit by nearly $1 trillion, secure our borders, unite our families, protect our workers and provide an earned pathway to citizenship." The Democratic leader´s ceremony coincides with Pope Francis´ similar ceremony in Rome to mark Holy Week.

WASHINGTON--Rushing to an afternoon vote last month, Sen. Ted Cruz hopped the underground tram to the U.S. Capitol from his office across the street. The Texan planted his black ostrich cowboy boots in the middle of the small subway car without getting so much as a nod from the other senators--Republican or Democrat--amiably chatting or huddled in their seats. Mr. Cruz finds himself standing alone a lot these days. His response to the cold shoulders: "The establishment despised Ronald Reagan" before he became president, "but the people loved him." For the 43-year-old Republican, the Reagan name illuminates his political life´s

Imagine a vendor on the National Mall, selling burgers and dogs, who hasn’t paid his rent in 20 years. He refuses to recognize his landlord, the National Park Service, as a legitimate authority. Every court has ruled against him, and fines have piled up. What’s more, the effluents from his food cart are having a detrimental effect on the spring grass in the capital. Would an armed posse come to his defense, aiming their guns at the park police? Would the lawbreaker get prime airtime on Fox News, breathless updates in the Drudge Report, a sympathetic ear from Tea Party Republicans?

Conservative columnist Ann Coulter — who used her talk show platform in the last presidential election cycle to campaign hard for former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney — has taken up the mantra once again, calling on Republicans to give the failed White House bidder another shot in 2016. She made the suggestion during a discussion on Sean Hannity’s radio show while speaking of her new book, “Never Trust a Liberal Over 3-Especially a Republican.” Ms. Coulter also addressed the question of Mr. Romney’s shortcomings by saying that his 2012 loss wasn’t entirely his fault. “I think too much blame, not only in this

Prominent Washington correspondents are accusing President Obama and his aides of knowingly stretching the truth on issues like the so-called women´s pay gap just to create controversy and keep issues -- and the president -- relevant. Washington Post columnist Ruth Marcus kicked off the attack last week when she blasted as “demagoguery” the administration´s tactics during the pay gap debate. “The level of hyperbole -- actually, of demagoguery -- that Democrats have engaged in here is revolting,” she wrote. CBS White House Correspondent Major Garrett then weighed in this week in his National Journal
