You want to know why most members of the press are liberal? Well, as CNN´s Reliable Sources showed Sunday during an interview with a group of journalism students at the George Washington University School of Media and Public Affairs, these folks apart from Facebook and Twitter get their "news" from liberal sources such as the Associated Press, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, NBC, NPR, the New York Times, the Washington Post, and believe it or not Jon Stewart (video follows with transcript and commentary): FRANK SESNO, HOST: As director of the George Washington University School of Media and Public Affairs, I´m very

Jon Stewart, the ruination of a formerly decent profession. At least it was during WWII. Not so much now.

Those student´s total news sources are apparently the dems´ media clones, each noticeably repeating the same talking point words of dem-biased opinion? Well THAT is certainly evident, at least from the participation by Hannity´s guest student audience last Friday night on FOX. Plus the fact that those socialist views presented by students came in the audience who lamented the fact that everyone couldn´t attend what they called their , ´´prestigious,´´ universities!?! They assumed & lamented that students with differing political conclusions from their, ´´prestigious,´´ universities must be simply getting inferior educations at apparently lesser colleges?!! ...Apparently, ´´prestigious,´ has come to mean socialist, for they argued consistently for the statist policies of centralized ´top down pyramid´ government, rather than government, ´of the people, by the people and for the people.´

That informative FOX hour actually turned out to be a glimpse of the results of currently receiving an education at, ´´prestigious,´´ American universities, at least by some, ...students who are America´s future. -YIKES!

#2. It was only in the post WWII world that journalism became a profession. Before then it was considered a craft ad indicated by how the unions for reporters were often called guilds. There is a difference. Making journalism a profession that required a degree in the subject to get entry level jobs acting as a screening mechanism that enforced the left wing orthodoxy.

Shortly before sunup, a dozen or so students at the University of California, San Diego, stumbled dutifully out of bed. They ironed their collared shirts, knotted their ties and piled into their cars. Their destination was the Islamic Center of San Diego, where they were to be initiated into the country’s first Muslim fraternity, Alpha Lambda Mu, named for three letters that start several chapters of the Quran: Alif Laam Meem. After the morning prayer, Fajr, the 13 pledges recited a passage from the Quran, then listened attentively as their adviser applied the Islamic values of loyalty, sincerity and brotherly

First it was the Justice Department’s career prosecutors; now it’s FBI agents. The federal employees responsible for fighting crime are simply unable to digest the anti-law enforcement slop being served up by their boss, Attorney General Holder. The FBI’s beef is with the selection of Debo Adegbile as Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Rights Division. The FBI Agents Association’s opposition is based on the way in which Adegbile defended, and led the cheers for, cop killer Mumia Abu-Jamal. The problem isn’t that Adegbile defended Abu-Jamal. The problem, as Bill Otis explains, is that Adegbile led a street campaign to

This is either a glaring admission of defeat from the White House or… no, that’s really all it could be. After weeks of defending the cancellation of health plans insurers discontinued in 2013 in order to comply with the Affordable Care Act’s coverage mandates, the White House announced in November of last year that it was urging insurers to reinstate those plans. The catch was, of course, that most insurers would be unable to turn on a dime and reinstate those plans. Furthermore, the administration allowed individual states leeway to determine whether or not they would even allow insurers to reinstate

The California Independent System Operator issued a so-called Flex Alert until 10 p.m. Thursday. The natural gas shortage is only impacting Southern California power plants, but authorities say statewide electricity and gas conservation will help free up both electricity and gas supplies. Flex Alerts are usually associated with power demands for cooling

Mr. Obama wants Americans to believe that the targeting resulted from the confusing tax law governing nonprofits, which he says was "difficult" to interpret and resulted in mere "bureaucratic" mistakes. The White House and congressional Democrats tried to limit the fallout Wednesday from the politically damaging conclusion in a Congressional Budget Office report that the Obamacare entitlement creates a major incentive for some people not to work. While some critics focused on a finding by the CBO that Obamacare will result in 2.5 million fewer workers over a decade, conservatives said the bigger fundamental issue highlighted in the report is one familiar to the welfare state — that taxpayer-funded government subsidies provide disincentives for full-time work. “People used to be stuck in jobs because they needed the health insurance,” said

One of the best arguments for health-insurance reform is that our traditional employer-based system often locked people into jobs they wanted to leave but couldn´t because they feared they wouldn´t be able to get affordable coverage elsewhere. This worry was pronounced for people with pre-existing conditions but not limited to them. Consider families with young children in which one of the parents would like to get out of the formal labor market for a while to take care of the kids. In the old system, the choices of such couples were constrained if only one of the two received employer-provided family
