Police openly beat Muslim
Brotherhood sympathizers in Cairo

And if the German military had stepped in and removed Hitler and his Nazis after the passage of the Enabling Act in 1933, preventing their consolidation of dictatorial power that the Muslim Brotherhood was recently attempting to duplicate in Egypt, well ... who knows? Some people have apparently learned from history.

Sugar not only makes you fat, it may be killing you. Consuming too much added sugar — in regular soda, cakes, cookies and candy — increases your risk of death from heart disease, according to a new study, the largest of its type. "The risk of cardiovascular disease death increases exponentially as you increase your consumption of added sugar," says the study´s lead author, Quanhe Yang, a senior scientist with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. On average, adults in the USA in 2010 consumed about 15% of their daily calories — about 300 calories a day, based on

Former President Bill Clinton is the “liar” the public is most able to forgive nearly two decades after his affair with then-White House intern Monica Lewinsky, according to a new poll. The survey asks “which liar are you most able to forgive” — listing Clinton along with cyclist Lance Armstrong, former President Richard Nixon and Bernie Madoff, who defrauded his investment clients out of billions of dollars in a

We live in a in a pluralistic country. New York State, with a population of about 19.6 million people, encompasses people from across the political, economic, social, and religious spectrums. Governor Cuomo acted like an elitist and nativist when he said that “extreme conservatives who are right-to-life, pro-assault-weapon, anti-gay… have no place in the state of New York, because that’s not who New Yorkers are.” He may be Governor, but does that give him the right to say who New Yorkers are?
