Obama says he likes Pope Francis! Holy
Mary – something´s going horribly wrong here

Telegraph (U.K.), by Tim Stanley

Don´t you just hate it when someone you like meets someone you dislike and they both get one really well? That´s sort of just happened on a global scale. In an interview with CNBC, President Obama said that he is "hugely impressed with the pope´s pronouncements". He added that he admired the way in which Francis is, "first and foremost thinking about how to embrace people as opposed to push them away. How to find what´s good in them as opposed to condemn them." This from the man who brands his opponents as extremists and refuses to negotiate with anyone

I saw that question and heard his response.

My reaction? Question as planted, answer was scripted.

Just by the wording Obama´s response, I don´t believe he´s ever heard the Pope speak or read the interviews.

Is Pope Francis trying to become Pope John Paul II? Now we have the president and the pope. Who is the prime minister? And will they really change the world?

Obama has demonstrated over and over that he is genetically incapable of telling the truth about anything. He lies about everything, large and small, important or trivial.

That said, why should anyone believe what he said about the Pope?

If one is only exposed to the popular reporting about the opinions of this Pope then one would think that he has instituted a policy of: "If it feels good....do it."

Barky would agree with that.

Even though he would be mistaken....again.

Joe Namath seems to be taking fashion tips from the IKEA monkey. The football legend showed up to Super Bowl XLVIII Sunday in an oversized fur coat, not unlike the one the infamous primate was spotted running around in at a Toronto IKEA store last fall. The extravagant fur was the talk of Twitter, even as the Seattle Seahawks crushed the Denver Broncos in a 43-8 win. Fans drew comparisons to coats worn by rapper Macklemore, Liberace, Ron Burgundy and several users’ grandmothers. Namath was the designated coin-tosser at the game — a job he botched when he flipped it

She may have once been “living in a tiny trailer” – at least for four months – but Wendy Davis’ campaign ensures she sleeps in better places these days. When in New York, she stayed at the Sofitel, running up $1,545.55 in charges from October 22 to 24. When in San Francisco from August 17 to 19, she stayed at the Fairmont Hotel, running up $1,015.27 in charges.

That’s all I could think as I sat in the House of Representatives last Tuesday night as the guest of my congresswoman, only a few hundred feet away from President Obama as he gave his State of the Union address. Four years ago, I’d have been there cheering for ObamaCare’s passage. But the real ObamaCare has made my life a nightmare. I suffer from a difficult chronic illness called lupus, an autoimmune disease with devastating symptoms that strike when you least expect them. We´ve had the Gaymmys; we´ve had Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson suspended for expressing unfavorable comments about anal intercourse; HBO has a new series, Looking about three gay men looking for love. It seems as though just about every television show, whether comedy or drama now has a gay character as a regular. It´s not surprising that homosexuality has become mainstream in our culture because nearly everyone has a relative or friend who is gay and we have been deeply influenced by those words of Harvey Fierstein who said, "I just want to be loved. There’s a rather harrowing open letter up at the New York Times from Dylan Farrow. It in, Farrow details the sexual abuse charges she leveled against Woody Allen a couple decades back. It is, frankly, disturbing: when I was seven years old, Woody Allen took me by the hand and led me into a dim, closet-like attic on the second floor of our house. He told me to lay on my stomach and play with my brother’s electric train set. Then he sexually assaulted me. He talked to me while he did it, whispering that I was a good girl, that

Justin Bieber’s personal plane — headed to New Jersey for the Super Bowl — was held at Teterboro Airport on Friday afternoon under suspicion it was carrying marijuana, law enforcement sources said. The plane had just arrived at 2:53 p.m. from Toronto when authorities detected what was described as a strong odor of pot. The plane, believed to be a twin-jet Raytheon Hawker 800, was ordered held until drug-sniffing dogs could check it out. It was not clear if Bieber was aboard. The singer planned to fly from his native Canada so he could take in the Super Bowl and pre-game festivities.

RIO DE JANEIRO — The Gávea Tourist is an empty shell of a hotel, a 14-story modernist monument of disintegrating concrete and decaying beauty that has been abandoned for four decades. It is one of three huge, architecturally stunning ghost hotels in Rio de Janeiro, all of which are vacant in a city facing a chronic shortage of rooms for June’s World Cup soccer tournament. Rio could use the Gávea Tourist’s 400-odd rooms. Instead, it is an emblem of the obstacles that hinder Brazil’s World Cup preparations: cumbersome bureaucracy, a slow-moving judiciary and a lack of imaginative planning.
