He’s Just Not That Clever

Because Barack Obama was elected on a campaign promise of “fundamentally transforming” the United States, and because our nation then proceeded to lose much of its international influence and domestic economic dynamism, it is easy to say “this is intentional. It’s just what he wants.” Yet while Obama might, in his heart of hearts, not bemoan the loss of jobs and economic growth at home, and American power and prestige abroad, ascribing it to an intentional effort gives Obama credit for qualities and skills he does not possess. Neocon David Horowitz entitled a recent fundraising letter for his Freedom Center “Urgent: Is

Whether by incompetence or by design the reality is that Obama is a scourge on this country and so far nothing has been effective in stopping his destruction. The country is spinning out of control and people out here in flyover country know it and feel helpless to stop it. We look to Republican leadership and we see effective leaders like Cruz and Lee vilified. It really is frustrating when sensible arguments made by reasonable men are rejected by the establishment. Obama may be incompetent but he has his party´s support. We have highly competent men offering real solutions and they are rejected as being extreme. You have to look no further than John McCain and Peter King. Obama couldn´t ask for a better "opposition" party.

He´s just their front lackey. The real rulers are the ones behind the curtain pulling his strings. I´d say George Soros is one of them or he may be the only one. Zippy and his handlers are on a well-defined mission and have so far been very successful. While our elected twiddle their thumbs and play politics, thinking they are relevant. Has everyone also forgotten the 40+ czars and wonder what they are up to every day?

We underestimate Obama at our own risk. A messianic megalomaniac with an unfailing knack for manipulative speech and scapegoating can accomplish terrible things, as history has shown.

It´s ValJar doing the string pulling while Obie plays king.

He couldn´t get away with any of this if we had an honest press willing to report the incompetence and real destruction caused by this President. But alas we don´t.

History will not be kind to them once the curtain is pulled back on his past and his presidency.

I am with you , number 6. While I do NOT think it is productive to compare him with someone who was plainly a murderer, your point about his ability to influence people with his power of public speaking is a very valid comparison.

I have seen and known people who were persuasive through speech and it is something to behold. They can talk people into almost anything...as if they were hypnotized. I believe Obama is very "gifted" and that is frightening since he shows no moral balance at all.

Much of Obama´s team has limited political experience. Their Chicago methods worked back home because people who were deeply opposed to what was happening the the city most often decided to vote with their feet rather than fighting back. Such methods cannot be taken nationwide because there is no safety valve at that level. Overstep the bounds at the national level guarantees a dedicated opposition this crew is unused to dealing this other than by intimidation.

Slightly off target, but in the spirit of castigating Obama´s Democrat sycophants . . .

Last sentence FTA: The saying “Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar” is frequently attributed to Freud, but there is no evidence that he actually said it.

Whether Freud is the author, or not, there exists two Democrats who would definitely dispute the context of the quote; Bubba and Monica. Also, there might be a third, namely, Hillary.

The Lo-Fos respond to this type of thing.

Characterization is part of controlling the narrative and we don´t do it very well.

I´m afraid I have to disagree with the main premise of this article. If it were mere incompetence, one would expect to see even a few actions or policies that are advantageous to the country, simply on the random chance of a positive result occurring by accident.

But one can´t even point to any such a case. This could only happen if everything he and his cabal are doing are in fact injurious by design. They are meant to damage and to hurt. The closing of unclosable federal parks is a particularly obvious example. Spite moves, without question.

No, it´s not incompetence. It´s deliberate, and in fact quite clever. Being an effective enemy of the country while being the President of that country, and continuing to get away with it in broad daylight, takes considerable cleverness. Faux foolishness takes great effort to pull off effortlessly.

Not that clever, perhaps that may be due to never having been given a reason to hone intellectual skills. Isolation in the cocoon of liberal academia and the gilded path to community organizing have left this man devoid of the hard lessons learned most of us have been exposed to. Nothing published at the Harvard Law Review, minimal voting record in Illinois, faking his autobiography; this man has never benefited from the learning process that can only come from having been required to do something. He has had doors flung open and a red carpet rolled out ahead of his path by the self-loathing guilt ridden liberal establishment. How could that not have gone to his head? I think he must have a fairly high functioning mind to do as well as he does given the complete lack of development. Remember his reference to executive experience in 2008 was limited to how well "he" ran his campaign? Seriously this man was prepared? We´ll never know how clever he may have become or smart he could be because being smart or clever has never been a requirement. He is the poster child for liberal royalty, the chosen one, child of Stanley Dunham, prodigy of Frank Marshall Davis.

I agree with postor # 14 who said this is all by design because of monied interests who are making profits out of Obama´s decisions that have hurt America. They have helped China, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Russia, Syria, Muslim Brotherhood all over the Middle East and how many others we can only guess at. And it´s easier for foreigners to make campaign donations and outright bribes from off shore banks than for US businesses to get away with these transactions.

I have come to look at the Øbama phenomenon in the same way I look at a swarm of locusts. No individual locust has very much intelligence. It has only a very few chemical commands that drive it forward, devouring everything in it´s path. When you bring together a fifty million of these highly driven idiot individuals, you have an organism that can do amazingly destructive things. Øbama is like the lead locust and his supporters, obviously living in a very dim, short sighted view of life and country, form a system that is eating this nation from whin and they are not going to go away or be easily defeated. We see them do all sorts of utterly stupid things, yet they are winning. Collectively, they all move in the same direction driven by the same agenda. They are relentlessly stupid, voracious creatures with no thought as to the damage they do- they just want it all and they want it all now!

I have waffled between thinking BO is a dunce and extremely clever in undermining America in a subtle enough way to get away with it. I agree, he just isn´t that clever. Further, the result, as in with Syria, often makes him look stupid and BO´s ego, something clearly super-sized, would not let him deliberately look foolish.

He does have surrogates that are either very clever or shamelessly ruthless in carrying out progressive actions with a "let them try to stop us" attitude. They have been aided and abetted by a feckless court system that refuses to call them on it.

But beyond that, exceptionalism does not establish or maintain itself automatically. All that is needed to accomplish the destruction of America is not appreciating its significance, its uniqueness, and not trying to maintain it. A liberal government is like an incompetent CEO of a large company. The company doesn´t disappear right away but it declines until it fails. Statist European governments are reaching end-of-life and BO wants us to be just like them. His foolishness and incompetence for 8 years is getting us well down that path.

Obama likes to hear the drone of his own voice but he sounds stupid. Obama is of low IQ and I doubt his education level. No man of great intelligence would use words so wrongly as this lowlife idiot. Don´t get me started on the whistling in his speech he irritating and boring.

This is characteristic of all compulsive sociopaths. It frees their malevolence of the reflection, doubt and guilt that encumbers most of what we undertake.

Consider how swiftly this creature, with so shallow an intellect and such narrow ability, obtained so much power.

Obama really is not that smart.

An intelligent person who does as poorly as Obama at off-teleprompter conversation would figure out a way to improve that skill. Obama hasn´t.

He left the crafting of Obamacare to the legislators. Why? He had no idea how to craft a piece of legislation. All he could do was hold parties to persuade people to pass it.

Obama won´t negotiate with the Republicans on the budget. Why? He has no idea how to do so. To cover up that fact, he says "My way or the highway" and the press assumes it´s his resolve, not his stupidity that produces this approach.

Obama does have smart people pulling his stings. But the people who assume he can do much more than give speeches and play golf are sadly mistaken.

FTA: Barack Obama has almost no idea what he is doing, why he is doing it, or how his actions affect ordinary citizens or the world around us.

Obama´s nearly five incompetent years in office have indeed been a tragi-comedy, but Establishment Republican attempts to replace Obama with yet another boring "Me, too" centrist show signs of political inbreeding and the brain death of demi-liberalism, which has been a failure from Nixon´s presidency until now. Only Reagan slowed the descent into irrelevance. As long as Republicans are just a shade less vivid statists than Democrats, this country will continue on its progressive highway straight down the drain, whether at 50mph or 100mph. It all leads to the same place.

FTA: While Obama is not clever enough for his apparent imcompetence to be anything but real, some of his advisers/puppet-masters, like David Axelrod and Valerie Jarrett, are.

Jarrett and Axelrod are communists in all but name, as is Obama. They´re probably more intelligent individuals than he, but, hey, so were about 90% of my classmates in college. Being a bull artist and a con requires a certain minimal level of intelligence, somewhat above the national average of about 90 IQ--just enough to fool the legions of dull normal and below, who comprise about half of the population. Bad experiences can lead to greater widsom, but so far that´s not happening. As Frank Zappa once said, "It´s not getting any smarter out there."

Obozo represents the cesspool that DC has become. Think back over the past few decades and with the exception of Regan, name a president that has really stood out. Not many of exceptional political skill that was used to futher the nation both nationally and world wide. And, all of those around Obozo are just as bad as he is. That is why I have consistantly called for another revolution. That cesspool needs to be drained, filled in, and re-create a government that will do the will of the people and not be consumed with the desire to just continue their own personal power.

He is doing exactly what he said he would do and everything including loss of financial status, loss of the middle class etc. is by design. Trying to paint it in any other way is just a waste of time. Obama is evil, supported by evil and the plan is to bring not just America, but the world to its knees. Hide and watch.

I am not just afraid, I´m terrified at the speed with which time seems to be be passing, the way in which this monster muslim has seized power and is wielding it, of what we don´t know about what he´s doing in the middle east, under the table, with those he rewards with power, position, money, et al...like Susan Rice for example. Because of her new job, she was rendered safe from ever being be interrogated about Benghazi. Obama isn´t an out of control naughty child, he´s a narcissist who knows what he´s doing, why he´s doing it, and where to turn for whatever he seeks, and what to do if he doesn´t get his way. With the media aiding and abetting his every move, it´s no wonder that a real leader like Netanyahu publicly issued a warning about Iran so the people in America maight have a chance to hear it for themselves. There is so much wrong and it is spreading more rapidly than we can track. I am truly afraid.

Obamacide: we now have the tortuous beginnings of a Communist medical industry, virtually enslaving millions of doctors, nurses, technicians, administrators, from the real world, into the dark depths of communist government IRS enforced power, and included are the threats of fines, imprisonment, total control (enslaving the patients, too). Devastating, at least. All this other debt denial, “shut down” stuff (paid vacation of bureaucrats) is just distraction from the truth of the Communist victory of this new collectivist form of medical body/mind enslavement, AND finally, don’t ever forget, the really big one, the Soetero/Clinton stand down murders of the four victims at Benghazi. This Marxist impersonator has escalated, sped up, all the horrors of the Feinstein Schumer Durbin Puglosi Reid communists already in stealth Communist death spiral planning to end a free America. The question is who is covering for who? Are the Feinstein commies covering (distracting) for Soetero, or is Soetero’s insanity acting as cover up for the already in place herd of communist lice who are creating American doom? As long as American corporations openly sponsor all this radio and TV propagandist tyranny of Sawyers, Pelley, Williams, Letterman, Walters, Stephanopolis, there is no turning back. Each sponsor PAYS each communist propagandist to speak and infect all of the viewing public. It’s all crazy: the biggest corporations are paying for all of this communist driven destruction. Time to connect the dots.

Way, way, way back when Obama appeared before the Editorial Board of a major San Francisco Newspaper and told them he would eliminate coal as an energy source I knew right then he was barely capable of walking and talking at the same time.

He´s never let me down.

He also surrounds himself with brain damaged people ~ like Joe Biden (he´s had brain surgery 3 times, all unsuccessful), Ted Kennedy, Hillary Clinton (those falls have a cause ~ she´s done a bunch of them ~ it´s usually the brain), Therea re others ~ maybe even Chief Justice Roberts ~ he´s on an anti-epileptic drug. Lurch hissef´ musts have taken a few tumbles (Lurch is Teresa Hines guy)

I wouldn´t be surprised to find that the whole crowd that glomed onto him have troubles with their main brain stem, or the corpus calosum, or maybe even the frontal cerebral cortex (which would explain their name caling, screaming and inabilty to think in moral terms.)

From my point the obozo situation is unique. In Italy, Germany, Russia, China there was a charismatic fuerer/leader, who made the way for himself, and, btw, was (were) afraid of backstabbers. This nincompoop is propped by a very focused cabal and totally supported by the evil group - nobody is targeting his place!
For instance, Russian leader, Putin, has to work hard to keep his place - obozo has not. Is he smart? Of course not. But he doesn´t have to be - the cabal has tight hand on bureaucracy (including military, police, CIA, FBI and other alphabets), media, banking, Wall Street, google/schmoogle/facebook...

Obama is enacting the liberal agenda quite rapidly, spending us into oblivion, arming our enemies, diminishing our influence, and permitting an evil regime to become a nuclear power. None of these actions are attributable to random incompetence.

The press makes it possible. They do not do their job of informing the sheeple. And if the GOP were to try to tell the sheeple about Alinsky and the maximizing of misery, they would just say "duh" and get out the picthforks and torches for a run on the wave makers.

Can´t disturb the sheeple with things like truth and facts and reason. Maybe the O J jury wasn´t just because of the change in venue to the backwaters of the inner city. They are all around us.

obMao is clever enough to know the pop media will not out him. This is historic. But does it also mean the day of the Gentile is over?

The One in charge will do the deciding and the ones here can do no better to ask of the only real Hope of the Universe, IMO.

But I would so like to march... And hope many do over the weekend. Go to public sites and demand entrance or put on sackcloth and ashes and fast and pray sheltering in place?

??? The prayer is the way but often The Way has used evil folks to make things happen according to plan. IOW I also know nothing and neither does the pop media. They preen and seek favor of the elite, the lib celebrity makers? They are in with the in crowd. Would thaat praying would wake them up to what they are.

Wonderful, insightful (but debatable, still) article by Mr. Ross Kaminsky.

President Obama may or may not be clever but it is indisputable that he is completely disdainful of the nation, which he leads.

Barrack Hussein Obama’s words:
“I do think at a certain point, you’ve made enough money.”

Ronald Wilson Reagan’s words:
“They tell us we must learn to live with less, and teach our children that their lives will be less full and prosperous than ours have been; that the America of the coming years will be a place where — because of our past excesses — it will be impossible to dream and make those dreams come true. I don´t believe that. And, I don´t believe you do either…..

“I cannot and will not stand by and see this great country destroy itself. Our leaders attempt to blame their failures on circumstances beyond their control, on false estimates by unknown, unidentifiable experts who rewrite modern history in an attempt to convince us our high standard of living, the result of thrift and hard work, is somehow selfish extravagance which we must renounce as we join in sharing scarcity. I don´t agree that our nation must resign itself to inevitable decline, yielding its proud position to other hands. I am totally unwilling to see this country fail in its obligation to itself and to the other free peoples of the world.

“America is too great for small dreams.”

The socialists also aren´t so foolish to believe their ideas lead to general prosperity. They are quite content for most people to live destitute and desperate, save for an elite they aspire to be part of, because it is all about controlling lives. They don´t believe in economic freedom, nor even personal freedom even though they peddle that lie. They are control freaks.

His putative cleverness – and, frankly, most of his other traits – are beside the point.

What counts is the fact that his psychosis dovetails perfectly with the aims of his handlers.

They’re using him, but he’s also using them. Or so he thinks.

I’m afraid it’s going to get much much uglier before it’s over.

Easter 2014: A celebration of hope
Fox News, by Rev. Dr. James B. Lemler    Original Article

Over 2 billion people are celebrating Easter today, April 20, as the calendars of Western and Eastern churches coincide this year, and these billions of faithful people are celebrating HOPE. The Easter message begins with the hopeful news that death has been overcome by life, that hatred has been overcome by love, and that sorrow has been overcome by joy. The elements of the story involve women arriving at a garden tomb and finding it empty, but even better, meeting the risen Lord, the embodiment of life and love. Their lives are changed forever and so are the lives of many, many

Chocolatiers love a holiday, be it Christmas, Valentine’s Day, or Easter. The French version of the Easter Bunny is Easter Bells (les cloches de Pâques)—which allegedly fly to Rome for a few days before the holiday to be blessed by the Pope before returning with chocolate eggs for the kids. But you don’t have to hunt very far to find French chocolate and pastry shop windows full of Easter eggs all trying to out-cute, out-class, or simply out-design one another. Good-looking pastries and other sweets are a modestly priced pleasure in France. But like fashion designers, French patissiers and chocolatiers

WHAT ARE the implications for Taiwan of China’s continued rise? Not today. Not next year. No, the real dilemma Taiwan will confront looms in the decades ahead, when China, whose continued economic growth seems likely although not a sure thing, is far more powerful than it is today. Contemporary China does not possess significant military power; its military forces are inferior, and not by a small margin, to those of the United States. Beijing would be making a huge mistake to pick a fight with the American military nowadays. China, in other words, is constrained by the present global balance

The immediate "crisis" portion of the standoff involving the federal Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy over his cattle grazing on federal land ended last week. Whether this will be end of Bundy´s troubles with the BLM, who have been in court with him over his refusal to pay fees to them for decades, remains to be seen, with the Bundys reporting that they´ve received registered mail from the BLM this week that they haven´t opened yet. I blogged about a lot of the factual background of the conflict here, with links to some relevant court documents. This story

That was quite a victory dance President Obama did Thursday while claiming Obamacare is “working” because eight million people have now supposedly signed up for the health care program. He even indulged in some less-than-subtle mockery of Republicans - and by extension the majority of Americans who have disapproved of Obamacare since before it became law. "The repeal debate is and should be over,” Obama said, taking a dig at Republicans who are “going through, you know, the stages of grief … anger and denial and all that stuff …” But a president who is viewed by most Americans as less

WASHINGTON — Daniel Swalm was researching his family when he came across a disturbing episode in immigration history. That discovery would lead to a move in the U.S. Senate to apologize for action the nation took more than a century ago. Swalm discovered that under an obscure 1907 law, his grandmother Elsie, born and raised in Minnesota, was stripped of her U.S. citizenship after marrying an immigrant from Sweden. Swalm had never heard of the Expatriation Act that required a U.S.-born woman who married a foreigner to "take the nationality of her husband." Swalm, who lives in Minneapolis, found out about the law

This “Open Letter to the Friends of Ukraine,” by a guest columnist who writes under the pen name of Irina Gokieli, dated April 19, offers the author’s pessimistic scenario of forthcoming events in what Vladimir Putin now calls “NewRussia.” “NewRussia” encompasses southeastern Ukraine and parts of Moldova. She predicts an invasion by regular Russian troops near the end of the first week of May under the pretext of restoring order, although she does not rule out, as an alternative, an alliance of Putin with certain Ukrainian politicians and oligarchs. Notably the author makes a persuasive case that the long-term consequences

Attorney General Eric H. Holder was reminded during a recent congressional hearing that he has been held in “contempt of Congress” — for nonproduction of subpoenaed documents. He interrupted with a personal rebuke of his questioner. Later, he suggested that questioning of his leadership, nonresponsiveness to congressional oversight, and referring to the contempt vote was evidence of racism. The accusation was made a second time, perhaps as a political stratagem, by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Let’s stop there — and stop the deflection, too. No attorney general of the United States is entitled, for any reason, to escape scrutiny of Congress,

The White House is going to war with another fox — and this time, it’s personal. The Wall Street Journal reports that a red fox has been causing chaos around the White House, tripping security alarms, digging up Michelle’s garden and distracting the president from his duties. The Secret Service won’t give any details about how often the fox trips the White House’s obviously sophisticated security alarms, but rest assured, officials say, they’re watching. President Obama was apparently “stunned” to see the fox roaming freely down the oft-photographed White House colonnade, home to the world’s shortest, but most dramatic, outdoor strolls. These holy days have their roots in miracles that took place long ago. And yet, they still inspire us, guide us, and strengthen us today. They remind us of our

Cliven Bundy has refused to pay grazing fees for land where his hundreds of cattle roam every day. The land is owned by the federal government, which says he owes more than $1 million.
