Live updates: Michael Jackson´s
family gets no money in AEG verdict

Los Angeles Times, by Jeff Gottlieb, Ruben Vives*

In a huge victory for concert promoter AEG Live, the jury in the Michael Jackson wrongful-death case found that Dr. Conrad Murray was not unfit and awarded no money to the pop star´s family. The jury unanimously agreed that AEG Live hired the doctor, who gave the singer a fatal dose of the anesthetic propofol. But they also found that Murray was competent, which means that the company is not liable in Jackson´s death and will not have to pay hundreds of millions of dollars in compensation to the family. Attorneys for the family had said that economic damages could surpass

On the bright side for the Jackson family, at least now they qualify for free health care along with all the other deadbeats and grifters.

Nice to see justice done.

This family mooched of him his entire life and still tries to exploit him. The only people I feel sorry for are his children, not because they lost the suit but because they´re surrounded by these grifters who forced them to re-live their father´s death.

I suggest the Jackson klan pack it up and move back to Gary, IN. The cost of living is a lot cheaper than CA. Their multi millions will go a lot further back home in Indiana.

If amateur I knew they were telling lies about Murray and Michael and AEG, then surely the AEG lawyers and eventually the jurors knew it.

AEG did not want MJ to have his own personal physician. When MJ made it a deal-breaker, AEG said fine, we´ll give you extra $$$. You make your deal with the doctor snd pay him.

More from the BGI trying to get reparations. No, no...

One of the arguments offered by the Jackson family was that AEG failed to supervise Dr. Murray.
But as Dr. Drew pointed out, HIPPA (federal law passed by Dead Ted Kennedy in 1985 establishing broad privacy rights for patients) forbids one doctor from communicating with another doctor without the patient´s permission, so Jackson could hide his drug abuse easily.

The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday refused to get involved in a Pennsylvania case over whether students can wear a bracelet saying “I (heart) Boobies!” as part of a breast cancer awareness campaign. By refusing to consider the case, the nation’s top court left in place a lower appeals court decision striking down a ban on the bracelets imposed by Easton Area School District, which argued that the bracelets were lewd. “The First Amendment protects schools as a space where students are free to discuss important issues like breast cancer and talk about their bodies in positive terms,” stated Reggie Shuford, executive director

The most dangerous parts of a flight are takeoff and landing. Rarely do incidents happen when a plane is cruising seven miles above the earth. So the disappearance of a Malaysia Airlines jet well into its flight Saturday morning over the South China Sea has led aviation experts to assume that whatever happened was quick and left the pilots no time to place a distress call.
