A group of World War II veterans in an Honor Flight group Tuesday knocked over barriers imposed during the government shutdown at the WWII Memorial in Washington, D.C., to get inside. As part of the federal government shutdown, national parks are closed. But the group of veterans continued to the monument Tuesday, as reported by Stars and Stripes.

Good for them. They have earned the right to visit the memorial. Hmmm - maybe I will Occupy a National Park this weekend.

These are the men who fought at Guadalcanal, Peleliu, Okinawa and Iwo Jima. They landed at Anzio and Normandy, stopped the Wehrmacht counterattack at the Bulge and held at Bastogne. No G--D--- lard-butt bureaucrat barrier is going to stop them now, even though they have canes and wheelchairs. That memorial is to THEIR VALOR. God bless them all.

These guys are very familiar with knocking barriers over. Some pretty big barriers didn´t stop them in Asia or Europe 60 + years ago and yellow tape and little signs sure as h%ll will not stop them today! Thank you and God bless you guys.

Kinda hard for the WH to sell the idea that they weren´t promoting a shutdown when they had all this signage prepared well before the shut down occurred.

Obamalogic: It is an open-air, free-standing monument. It requires no guides, traffic control or ticket takers. So the government pays someone to set up barriers and pays for guards to keep people out. "Stupid is as stupid does." Forrest Gump

Do you realize how pathetic we are?!!

Rejoicing because some WWII veterans knocked over government-placed barriers to visit a monument honoring them?

Go back and read the damn*d sign:

Because of the Federal Government SHUTDOWN, All National Parks are CLOSED.

They are our parks! No highly-paid misfits, having failed in their duties, have a right to deny us access.

If you are fit and able, get out there today (and every day) to walk in these parks. You´ll be in the good company of WWII vets...who have no further need to prove their courage.

The woman who went on five different Sunday talk shows a week ago to lie to the American people about the attack in Libya on 9/11, saying it was a spontaneous protest when the administration knew it was in fact a terrorist attack 24 hours after it occurred, skipped Israeli Ambassador Benjamin Netanyahu's speech yesterday at the U.N. General Assembly in New York City. U.S. Ambassador Susan Rice instead decided to go to a lunch with foreign ministers.

Last week Al Sharpton embraced convicted vote fraudster Melowese Richardson at a “voting rights” rally in Cincinnati. The United States Department of Justice under Eric Holder has done nothing to Melowese Richardson 410 days after she admitted on camera that she committed multiple federal felonies by voting six times for President Obama’s reelection. "But human-caused climate risks abrupt, unpredictable and potentially irreversible changes." In other words, the most distinguished scientists from the country with the world´s pre-eminent educational institutions were trying to shake humanity out of its complacency. First lady Michelle Obama told students that freedom of speech should be a universal right during her extravagant, no-press-allowed tour of China — a hypocritical move that will surely draw the ire of critics, according to an expert. “That is troublesome. That goes beyond hypocritical, and I think the American media and the international media has every right to call her and the Obama administration on that — that they permitted that to happen,” said Tom Whalen, a political history professor at Boston University. “It makes you shake your head, albeit sadly.” The first lady stopped at Peking University in Beijing yesterday
