Obama claims he hasn´t had a
cigarette in 6 years -- or has he?

Perhaps President Obama has kicked the smoking habit -- but he looks to be telling tall tales about how long it´s been since his last puff. The president was caught on camera Monday telling a U.N. official he hasn´t had a cigarette in six years. "I hope you quit smoking," Obama told Maina Kiai, on the sidelines of the U.N. General Assembly in New York. "I haven´t had a cigarette probably in six years. That´s because I´m scared of my wife." Maybe it just felt like six years. According to statements made by his aides and his family, it´s been

In the article yesterday, he said he was still chewing Nicorette gum ... if it´s been six years - why the gum?

Putin and Assad believe Obama on the "red line" in Syria more than I believe Obama on this whopper.

It falls in the "If you like your doctor/health plan, you can keep it" category of LIES.

My sister´s ex-husband had a uncle like this. People who knew him would play, sadly, a rather cruel game to bait him. They would egg him on to tell some of his whoppers. He told them anyway-amazing stories that were jaw-dropping. If you knew him you also knew they couldn´t possibly be true. Or even of any importance. His too, were very self-aggrandizing.

Like Obama he was quite believable. Likeable too. He´d look you in the eye and lie and lie and lie. It was obviously compulsive as he would spout the most incredible lies to people whom he knew HAD to know he was lying.

Once told me he had "the opportunity" to sing with the Metropolitan Opera Chorus when he lived in New York. Of course, he never lived in New York, probably had never been there.

He was nuttier than a truckload of Planters. He would "disappear" for hours, sometimes days at a time. (Are you thinking "Benghazi"?)No one knew where he was and my sister told me that his wife (poor thing) never, ever knew where he went. She thought it was possible that he didn´t know, she once said.

Sometimes people who knew him (he lived in a small town) would see him during his work day on a bus. Just riding. Didn´t seem to recognize them. Some sort of blackouts, I always assumed.

That´s just something I think is interesting, maybe related but I fear that Obama is truly our craziest president. I mean serious, serious mental problems. Dangerous for everyone on earth.

Oh, good grief! Lighten up occasionally. There isn´t a former or wanna-be-former smoker who hasn´t told a few little white ones about when he took a puff off someone else´s cigarette or even enjoyed a whole one when no one was looking. You never get over the desire and most of us are just human at times. This is hardly a ´whopper´ of any importance. I can´t believe Fox would even publish such a ridiculous article or that anyone would consider this a great big "lie". Most former smokers "quit" 3, 4, or more times anyway.

This distract us from Rouhani´s smacking him down when he went courting.

WASHINGTON — The Internal Revenue Service and other federal agencies awarded about $415,000 in contracts to a license plate-tracking company before Homeland Security leaders dropped a plan for similar work amid privacy complaints. GREENSBORO, Ga. — Golf holes the size of pizzas. Soccer balls on the back nine. A mulligan on every hole. These are some of the measures — some would say gimmicks — that golf courses across the country have experimented with to stop people from quitting the game. Golf has always reveled in its standards and rich tradition. But increasingly a victim of its own image and hidebound ways, golf has lost five million players in the last decade, according to the National Golf Foundation, with 20 percent of the existing 25 million golfers apt to quit in the next few years. People under 35 have especially spurned the game, saying it takes too

Hi, everybody. For millions of Americans, this time of year holds great meaning. Earlier this week, we hosted a Passover Seder at the White House, and joined Jewish families around the world in their re-tellings of the story of the Exodus and the victory of faith over oppression. And this Sunday, Michelle, Malia, Sasha, and I will join our fellow Christians around the world in celebrating the Resurrection of Christ, the salvation he offered the world, and the hope that comes with the Easter season. These holy days have their roots in miracles that took place long ago. And yet, they still inspire us, guide us, and strengthen us today. They remind us of our

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Thursday that a family of dissident ranchers and their supporters in his home state of Nevada are ´domestic terrorists,´ citing this week´s standoff with the federal government´s Bureau of Land Management. Cliven Bundy has refused to pay grazing fees for land where his hundreds of cattle roam every day. The land is owned by the federal government, which says he owes more than $1 million. Bundy, however, insists that since his family has been using the land since the 1870s, Uncle Sam can´t collect the grazing fees. A tense standoff developed this week after

To "honor the dignity and work of immigrants," Democratic House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi helps Bishop Marc Andrus wash the feet of two children Thursday at Saint John the Evangelist Episcopal Church in San Francisco. Pelosi also used the occasion to talk about passing HR15 - bipartisan immigration legislation that her office says would "reduce the deficit by nearly $1 trillion, secure our borders, unite our families, protect our workers and provide an earned pathway to citizenship." The Democratic leader´s ceremony coincides with Pope Francis´ similar ceremony in Rome to mark Holy Week.

WASHINGTON--Rushing to an afternoon vote last month, Sen. Ted Cruz hopped the underground tram to the U.S. Capitol from his office across the street. The Texan planted his black ostrich cowboy boots in the middle of the small subway car without getting so much as a nod from the other senators--Republican or Democrat--amiably chatting or huddled in their seats. Mr. Cruz finds himself standing alone a lot these days. His response to the cold shoulders: "The establishment despised Ronald Reagan" before he became president, "but the people loved him." For the 43-year-old Republican, the Reagan name illuminates his political life´s

Imagine a vendor on the National Mall, selling burgers and dogs, who hasn’t paid his rent in 20 years. He refuses to recognize his landlord, the National Park Service, as a legitimate authority. Every court has ruled against him, and fines have piled up. What’s more, the effluents from his food cart are having a detrimental effect on the spring grass in the capital. Would an armed posse come to his defense, aiming their guns at the park police? Would the lawbreaker get prime airtime on Fox News, breathless updates in the Drudge Report, a sympathetic ear from Tea Party Republicans?
