Tom DeLay, Exonerated, The
Should-Have-Been Speaker.

Investor´s Business Daily, by Editorial

Leadership: With one of the greatest-ever congressional leaders finally exonerated of all criminal charges, it´s worth asking: Where would Washington and the nation be if Tom DeLay had been speaker all these years? The late Robert Novak, who covered Washington for over a half century, called former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay "the most effective legislator of his time," who must be "ranked with the great legislative leaders of all time, such as Thomas Brackett Reed, Robert A. Taft and Lyndon B. Johnson." Reacting to his resignation from Congress in 2006, Novak wrote: "Nobody has been as effective in enacting the conservative

The democrat hack prosecutor shopped 7 Grand Juries before he could get an indictment..claiming DeLay broke a law that wasn´t even in existance at that time. He needs to be Nifonged.
Meanwhile democrats violate almost every law in existance and walk away.
Best wishes go to the DeLay family, almost destituted by the legal costs.
You have been sorely missed.
God Bless.

Turn it back on those that went after him, if they could find grand juries and judges, I´m sure there are others out there that would be willing to go after them with the same zeal they have shown all these years. The system shouldn´t be able to destroy a man and the individuals shouldn´t be able to get away scott free.

Not to rain on the good old days parade but don´t forget that Delay said right before leaving office that there was nothing to cut in the budget and just because he was acquitted of criminal activity doesn´t absolve him from his several sleazy ties to big time lobbyists.

This, as well as other Mob-like hit jobs, must be talked about, brought out at every possible moment, including in VA governor´s race, because the "mainstream" media will not. This is why LoFos remain in the abyss of ignorance and stupidity.

Republicans in every State must get more vocal and have on the tips of their tongues the catalogue of Dem/Leftie outrages, starting with ObamaDOESN´Tcare.

People do not know, even today.

#7, fight for Cruz! (and Lee and others)

Fight the tendency to resign, give up, concede. The Dem/Lefties are accustomed to Conservatives shrinking back in polite silence. No need to be ugly like they are, but firm and informed assertions are imperative.

NEVER give up!

The Dems with their Alinsky tactics, and the Pubs with their weak-kneed complicity, destroyed DeLay, Gingrich, and other architects of the conservative revolution. This anti-Establishment movement had to be stopped in its tracks. When it re-emerged in 2010, they dutifully sidelined Palin and the Tea Parties. They are now doing their best to destroy Cruz.

Revenge, however, is best served cold. Tom and Newt can join Sarah, Ted, and others to form a new conservative party to challenge and replace the Establishment "big tents".

The Democrats have many competitive advantages vs. Republicans: E.g., the media, the willingness to use Chicago tactics, the money, etc. However, Democrats have one huge weakness--they telegraph who they think are dangerous. The did this to Gingrich, they did this to DeLay, they did this to Sarah Palin, and they´re doing it to Cruz. You would think that Republicans could use this information to their advantage. Unfortunately, one of the many weaknesses of the Republican party is to do nothing with this key information.

House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) is "hellbent" on passing amnesty legislation, and other GOP leaders are signaling to donors and lobbyists that they also want to pass legislation this Congress, even though attempting to do so would depress the GOP base and create divisions within the party ahead of 2014´s midterm elections that could give Republicans control of Congress. According to the Wall Street Journal, Boehner told donors at a Las Vegas fundraiser in March that he was "hellbent on getting this done this year." After he met with President Barack Obama at the White House in February, Boehner said that

Hillary Clinton´s upcoming memoir, which is expected to look back at her time as secretary of State, now has a name: Hard Choices. Which is an okay title! She no doubt had to make some tough decisions while at State, and has at least one big decision to make coming up in the next year or so. But the former Cabinet member and possible future presidential candidate may have been better served by a different title—like, say, Tough Decisions. Because Hard Choices has already been used. By another former secretary of State. In 1983, Cyrus Vance, who served as secretary of State

Regardless of how people feel about Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy’s standoff with the federal Bureau of Land Management over his cattle’s grazing rights, a lot of Americans were surprised to see TV images of an armed-to-the-teeth paramilitary wing of the BLM deployed around Bundy’s ranch. They shouldn’t have been. Dozens of federal agencies now have Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) teams to further an expanding definition of their missions. It’s not controversial that the Secret Service and the Bureau of Prisons have them. But what about the Department of Agriculture, the Railroad Retirement Board, the Tennessee Valley Authority, the Office of

They’re nothing more than domestic terrorists,” Mr. Reid in remarks at a luncheon, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, which sponsored the event. “… I repeat: What went on up there was domestic terrorism.” The Nevada Democrat was referring to the hundreds of Bundy backers — some armed, some from out of state — who congregated at the ranch last week in

President Obama is suddenly upset about the alleged wage gap between men and women, but he´s not responding to a national economic crisis. Instead, he is attempting to revive the "war on women" theme that, according to Washington wisdom, helped carry Democrats to victory in 2012 and might do again in 2014. If this narrative were true, the White House could spend the year demonizing Republicans as women-hating creeps, driving women to the polls in November and helping the party hold the Senate. But the conventional analysis isn´t accurate. National exit polls from 2012 show scant success for the war-on-women

Marking the first time a court has ruled that a provision of Dodd-Frank violates the Constitution, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit held that the financial "reform" law´s bizarre rule requiring companies to disclose whether their products contain "conflict minerals" from Africa violates the First Amendment. Anyone wondering why the U.S. economy can´t seem to grow at its usual pace should examine one product category where production is booming: federal regulation. Washington set a new record in 2013 by issuing final rules consuming 26,417 pages in the Federal Register. While plenty of government employees deserve credit for this milestone, leadership matters. And by this measure President Obama has never been surpassed in the Oval Office. Fiscal Policy: Remember President Obama´s vow that, if re-elected, he´d pursue "balanced" deficit reduction? Either he forgot, or he hopes voters have, because a new report shows his latest budget is entirely unbalanced. When Obama released his budget this March, he said it included "smart spending cuts" and closed "tax loopholes" that benefit only "the wealthiest Americans." Obama added that his budget would put "our debt on a downward path as a share of our total economy, which independent experts have set as a critical target for fiscal responsibility." Several elements of his comments were misleading: (1) At first blush, the 35 percent stat is both significant and impressive. As recently as last month, the share of "young invincibles" signing up for plans was struggling in the 25 percent range, far short of the actuarial target of nearly 40 percent.
