Naval Yard shooting aftermath
went according to script

American Thinker, by Thomas Lifson

Original Article

Yesterday saw the nation´s news dominated by continuous coverage of the shooting at the Washington Naval Yard. Twelve innocents were slaughtered, leaving behind grieving family and friends as well as a nation horrified at the carnage. They deserve, and have, our sympathy and compassion, as do the thousands of people at the Naval Yard and elsewhere nearby who were terrorized. But for the major political and media actors on the nation´s stage, it was a day of following familiar scripts. Cable news outlets went directly into continuous live coverage, endlessly repeating the few facts that became available, and adding quite a number

I think the pre-shooting script was followed to the letter, also.

Nowhere will we see that the Office of the President is responsible for the security of our military and their installations.
Nowhere will we see it recounted where mental illnesses are a deterrent to having a security clearance. Check the endless list of EOs issued by this incompetent dweeb.

Bill Clinton made military sites... gun free zones including overseas.
Hillary Clinton took away the guns from the Benghazi site and posted terrorist guards.

I didn´t even watch the coverage yesterday. No point. You can scan the internet and get relevant facts a lot quicker. As the author writes, the cable nets go live and endlessly and relentlessly repeat the same few (frequently wrong) facts and interviews with witnesses. It´s monotonous pandering and titillation along with a demented rush to break anything new.

They have become parodies of themselves. It all reminds me of that ditz anchorwoman who reported on the Korean Air crash by blithely announcing the ´names´ of the aircraft crew and not realizing it was a prank with made up names.

Notice how all the policing agencies always gather together after the fact and thank each other for the great job they did, as if it was something unusual to bring down a suspect. The police chief thanks the asst. police chief, who thanks the chief SWAT leader who thanks the FBI who thanks the DC mayor, who thanks the military officials, etc. Wow, they got their man!!

As the labor movement tells the story, two months ago, the silly, ungrateful Volkswagen factory workers in Tennessee foolishly rejected the generous invitation of the company and the United Auto Workers to welcome the Detroit-killing union with open arms. In an election supervised by the federal National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), the workers in VW´s Chattanooga plant rejected UAW representation by a vote of 712 to 626. Amazingly, the UAW and the automaker both refuse to take the workers´ "no" for an answer. The two sides are acting in unison to overturn the democratically expressed will of the workers. For more than 160 years, Henry David Thoreau´s essay on Civil Disobedience has inspired Americans to "make known what kind of government would command his respect" so that we could live under that government in good conscience. Ultimately, in a free society, that´s all we have that is truly our own; our conscience. Following its dictates, says Thoreau, is the only rational way to live your life and be true to oneself. It had been years since I read Civil Disobedience and I was surpised by how Cliven Bundy´s words echoed many of the theses in the essay. Legal experts overwhelmingly agree

“On the third day, he rose again.” That line, from the Nicene Creed, is a foundational statement of Christian belief. It declares that three days after Jesus died on the cross, he was resurrected, a glimmer of the eternal life promised to believers. It’s the heart of the Easter story in seven little words. But how that statement is interpreted is the source of some of the deepest rifts in Christianity — and a stumbling block for some Christians, and more than a few skeptics. Did Jesus literally come back from the dead in a bodily resurrection, as many traditionalist
