In Syria, Putin´s the Player
and Obama´s the Playee

American Thinker, by Thomas Lifson

Original Article

President Barack Obama has become a comic figure on the world stage, a laughingstock unable to keep his story straight, while his principal rival seizes the initiative in Syria. So desperate is Obama for a face-saving retreat from his ultimatum on Syrian chemical weapons that he will concede the really important issues to Russia, Syria and Iran. And being Obama, he will portray his retreat as a great diplomatic victory, and his media claque will sell the story to the low information voting public.

Exactly how it will play out. The Team O handmaidens will hail O as a skilled diplomat, returning us from the brink of WAR(!!!), by "brokering a deal between Russia and Syria. Watch, this is how it will be told.

When Øvomit was elected president, he didn´t have the work experience to qualify to be an assistant manager of a 7-11.

Putin is fairly evil, but he is a natural leader -- something Øvomit can only dream of being.

When you put Putin and Øvomit against each other, true leadership shows and incompetence truly shows it´s ugly face...

I agree, #1. However, all but the Emperors lackeys will see right through it. I care more about the lives of our sons and daughters than about who gets credit.

The bottom line is that the problem has been contained without US military involvement. If we still seek "accountability", take it to a war crimes tribunal at The Hague, as Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ) is proposing.

Now, about Iran´s nuclear program ...

It turns out that you can bring produce sections to poor neighborhoods, but you can´t get poor people to eat healthier food. This comes as a shock to liberals who believe in the comprehensive theory of victimology -- that all problems afflicting people who fall into ethnic, sexual, or other identities regarded as victims are due to external factors, not to their own choices. (snip)The deranged premise behind the entire "food desert" theory was that crass corporations were bypassing the opportunity to sell healthy foods to poor people out of malice, or at best ignorance. We´ve already had 5 million people in the individual insurance market lose their coverage. President Obama has broken many promises. One that he has not broken is his boast that he would "fundamentally transform America." He and his fellow Democrats are on the verge of doing just that by turning us into a nation of loafers. A loafer is an idle person who lives off others. Barack Obama seemingly has no problem with such people. He might even relate to them. He does have a serious problem with his own work ethic, and finds work boring. (snip) But Obama and his Democratic Party allies seem to be gleeful about the rise of the loafer class.

One of the first acts of Barack Obama´s presidency was to send back to Britain a powerful Oval Office sculpture of Winston Churchill, looking beetle-browed and determined, the way Churchill really looked when he was defying Hitler. It´s no surprise that Barack Obama´s authoritarian streak is revealing itself at last. It was always there; clearly apparent in his rhetoric (e.g., his envy of Chinese president Xi Jin-ping´s powers), his abuse of executive orders, his threats against Congress, his sultan with fly-whisk attitudes toward his opposition, and even his vacations, which reek more of third-world trash gamboling on the Riviera than any American leader (George W. Bush settled his mind by clearing brush in Texas, Reagan at his ranch in Santa Barbara. Obama unfortunately finds the brush already cleared in Martha´s Vineyard and Hawaii.)

Powerful winds in the Pacific Ocean, which have driven surface heat deep underwater, could be the reason behind the current ‘pause’ in global warming. This is according to a joint Australian and U.S. study which has looked at why there has been a slowdown in the planet’s global average surface temperature over the past decade. Their research shows that trade winds in central and eastern parts of the Pacific have caused warm surface water to sink to the ocean´s depths, reducing the amount of heat in the atmosphere. Last year, scientists on the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) said the pace of

From its inception, the strategy behind the Obama administration’s implementation of ObamaCare has been simple: to frontload the benefits and postpone the pain and costs of this massive government intrusion into the private sector for as long as possible. Michelle Obama´s lust for luxury has always been a bit of a problem for her husband and Democrats in general.
