Syria: Barack Obama hands
the world to Vladimir Putin

Telegraph [UK], by Janet Daley

Original Article

Posted By:Attercliffe, 9/10/2013 7:34:54 AM

When I wrote in my last but one column that the only winner in the shambles that the West was making over its response to Syria would be Vladimir Putin, I had no idea how prescient that snide comment would turn out to be. So incompetent has the Obama White House been in its on-again, off-again action against the criminal despot Assad, and so eager is Barack Obama himself to find an exit from his own impasse, that Russia is being absurdly elevated to world saviour in a crisis which it has helped to create. Thanks to an ironic aside

Read through a safety screen--the torrent of well-deserved vitriol hurled at the White House might splash on you.

"...fundamentally changing America..."

Everything is going according to Obamas sick far left plan, this president is taking America down even faster than he thought was possible.

This is BO´s master plan all along!

Quote BO to Putin: "I will have more flexibility after the election"

I am outraged. How come OUR media refuses to see this?

I guess in the end this is all going to be good for employment. All of the arms and armament manufacturing facilities, ship building and airplane factories, etc. are going to have to gear up and start producing to get us back up to a level where we can start defending ourselves again. The Leftists has given away the store --and not just 0bama, and the spineless RINOs has sat with their thumbs in their mouths, hiding under their beds in the fetal position and watched it happen.

It will take another combination of Reagan and Thatcher to pull us out of this mess.

There is no limit to the countries as well as fringe groups who now believe America is a weak sister and disfunctional, and totally incapable of fending off a serious attack or take over.

It will happen, and it won´t just be al quaeda looking to bring us down this time.

The United States has acted as a "weak sister" since August 1945, willing to involve itself almost anywhere on the globe, unwilling to win victory...Truman, Ike, JFK, LBJ, Nixon...Bush41, Clinton, Bush43 and BHO. What we have is a quagmire, never leave military strategy...and we can no longer afford it by any measure of cost. The world has changed, US foreign and military policies have not responded well.

Well deserved vitriol, OP? I´ll give you well deserved vitriol.

To all our Euroweenie "allies" whose response to American leadership that (I can´t believe they still need reminding) singlehandedly saved Europe from a thousand year Reich was a continuous feast of hand wringing, second-guessing, backbiting, betrayal, and effete commentary, and who were beside themselves at the prospect of Citizen Of The World Obama replacing that (sniff) cowboy Bush: choke on it.

To all the libertarians and "conservatives" and single-issue Republicans who couldn´t possibly compromise their superior high ideals by voting for Romney, let alone make any attempt to persuade anyone else to: choke on it.

To the rest of the free world who could do nothing but find fault with the way America led, I hope you like your life now that the eagle standing guard outside your door has been replaced by the Russian bear that just climbed into your bed.

And we still have 3 1/2 more years of this crap to look forward to. Thanks for nothing.

Yup. STILL angry.

All the rest of the posters have said it well. Just one point missing: Zippy himself has now told us that if one were to ask Michelle about Syria and taking any action, she´d say, "No." Not a surprise, just confirmation of the fact that this hideous woman and the commie shadow president, Valerie Jarrett– raised in Iran as a muslim– have this weak, cowardly, noxious, liar in their full control. Second point: His statement also let the world know that he consults the bow-legged amazon. Although I´m not surprised, I´m astonished that even this male pretender would announce it. We´ll probably find out next that the red phone to Putin is on her side of the bed.

C´mon, don´t you secretly admire Putin and envy the Russian their dictator sans black and gay power problems tearing at our society? just a smidge of grudging admiration?

Was it all a set-up to be played on the world stage? Obama the white socialist in blackface. Don´t yell! How many black friends does obama have? How many culturally black? How many liberals, socialists and one avowed communist--until the pop media DID do its job and gently hound Van out?

But, grudging admiration or not, wouldn´t trade our soon to be deposed socialist front man for the accomplish dictator and democracy killer Putin. He doesn´t mind killing his opponents.

Putin does what he does best and obama gives the inevitable speech. (Groan) I haven´t listened to any since the first one of the 2008 campaign. Having missed his prancing and dissembling, continual campaign harangue, I think I´ll pass another of the great I won´s self praise and propaganda.

#15, I have no idea why you are so angry over my support for Janet Daley´s opinion of the Obama White House. Let´s start with the short bio of the author:

Janet Daley was born in America where she began her political life on the Left as an undergraduate at Berkeley. She moved to Britain (and to the Right) in 1965 where she spent nearly twenty years in academic life before becoming a political commentator: all factors that inform her writing on British and American policy and politicians.

And what I heartily agree with is her statement about the Obama White House:

So incompetent has the Obama White House been in its on-again, off-again action against the criminal despot Assad, and so eager is Barack Obama himself to find an exit from his own impasse, that Russia is being absurdly elevated to world saviour in a crisis which it has helped to create.

Deep in the flat and featureless landscape of eastern Ukraine, it is all too possible that the outline of World War III is taking shape. Whipped up by the Kremlin propaganda machine and led by Russian military intelligence, armed men are erecting road blocks, storming police stations and ripping down the country’s flag. They are demolishing not just their own country — bankrupt, ill-run and beleaguered — but also the post-war order that has kept most of Europe and us, here in Britain, safe and free for decades. Vladimir Putin is striking at the heart of the West.

President Obama addressed the White House press corps today, announcing that with the final numbers in, Obamacare´s exchanges have attracted eight million sign-ups -- 35 percent of whom are "under the age of 35," he said. Several elements of his comments were misleading: (1) At first blush, the 35 percent stat is both significant and impressive. As recently as last month, the share of "young invincibles" signing up for plans was struggling in the 25 percent range, far short of the actuarial target of nearly 40 percent. A leap into the mid-30´s, while still shy of the goal, would constitute a major step, and would bode well for the risk pools'

Democratic Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren wrote in her forthcoming book that she was “hurt” and “angry” by 2012 reporting on her fraudulent claim to Native American heritage. “What really threw me, though, were the constant attacks from the other side,” Warren wrote in her book “A Fighting Chance.” “I would almost persuade myself that I was starting to get the hang of full-throttle campaigning and then — bam! Out of left field, the state Republican Party, or the Brown campaign, or some blogger, would launch a rocket at me,” Warren wrote, adding, ”I was stunned by the attacks.” This reporter (blogger?) reported extensively

It’s the stuff of Westerns: a showdown on the desert plains, the big bad government against an underdog farmer. Though the story has only grabbed national headlines in the past several days, rancher Cliven Bundy has illegally grazed cattle on the Nevada land surrounding his farm for over 20 years. He hasn’t paid grazing fees since 1993, and refuses to renew the necessary grazing permit.(Snip)Rather than using the avenues and pathways presented to him, Bundy has staunchly declared his own law and allegiances. Unfortunately, reality doesn’t work this way. If only it did—we could rebel for paying stupid taxes, refuse to

WASHINGTON — Former President Jimmy Carter joined fellow Nobel laureates Wednesday in opposing Keystone XL, insisting that approving the pipeline would trigger “more climate upheaval” around the globe. In an open letter to President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry, Carter and the nine other Nobel Peace Prize winners bluntly warned the leaders: “Your decision on the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline will define your climate legacy.” The missive, published as an advertisement in Politico, represents the first time Carter has taken a position on the $5.4 billion project and makes him the first former president to come

FORT WORTH — Democratic gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis will undergo neck surgery today, her campaign said Tuesday. “After experiencing shoulder and right arm pain in recent weeks, Sen. Davis will have a routine surgical procedure to remove bone spurs and degenerative discs that are creating compression on the nerves in her neck,” campaign spokesman Zac Petkanas said in a statement Tuesday. “This is a common issue experienced by runners and endurance athletes,” he said. Davis, of Fort Worth, will undergo the outpatient surgery at the Fort Worth Brain and Spine Institute. Dr. Thomas Ellis will perform the

With Easter soon approaching, the Rev. Al Sharpton on Wednesday drew parallels between the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the resurrection of President Obama’s political career. Joining the “Tom Joyner Morning Show,” Mr. Sharpton said that his message for this Easter is that “no matter what the world may do to you unfairly, no matter how you’re crucified — nailed to the cross at home, or in your personal relationships, or on the job — that you can rise if you don’t lose yourself during the hard times and the challenges.” The reverend went on to say that Christ endured so much humiliation and unearned suffering leading up to his death,

A group of seven multiracial Washington and Lee University (W&L) students are demanding the school remove all Confederate flags from campus and "acknowledge" General Robert E. Lee´s "dishonorable side." According to the Roanoke Times, "seven multiracial students, calling themselves ´The Committee,´" have also demanded the school "acknowledge and apologize for participating in chattel slavery." They want recognition of "Martin Luther King Jr. Day on the undergraduate campus" and an end to "neo-Confederates" marching across campus "to the Lee Chapel on Lee-Jackson Day." The students say they will "engage in civil disobedience" if their demands are not met by September 1st. They added: "The
