John Fogerty trashed Bush and Cheney on stage and in song.
Wonder if he´ll do the same to President Obama? We don´t think so.

Excellent observation, where have they gone? Maybe they are leading the team of Obamacare navigators. Funny, the same crew always accusing Republicans of hypocrisy. They need to be called out on this, yes, please explain yourselves.

What in heavens name happened to Jessica Lange?? I always thought she was at least physically attractive. Anyways these celebrities are so irrelevant. The one major reason that they´re not protesting the Syrian civil war boy Baraka wants us to become involved in is simply fear of being called racist.

The reverend denies to The Daily Beast that he ever knowingly snitched on the Mafia to the FBI, but The Smoking Gun website, which made the charges, is sticking to its story. “If I brought down the Mob,” the Rev. Al Sharpton demanded on Monday, “I want my tickertape parade.” The civil rights activist and MSNBC host was referring, facetiously, to TheSmokingGun.com’s meticulously detailed, epic account, rife with court documents and law enforcement sourcing, of Sharpton’s apparent four-year career in the 1980s as one of the FBI’s more valuable mafia informants--a narrative that can best be described as The Sopranos meets American

AUSTIN — The street banners leading to the Lyndon B. Johnson Library and Museum herald a recent renovation, both of the man and the edifice, asking the public to “see LBJ in a whole new way.” The soft light of rediscovery will be cast this week as a Civil Rights Summit at the LBJ Library celebrates the 50th anniversary of Johnson’s signing of the seminal Civil Rights Act. If Griffin has his way, and he most assuredly will, some unionized businesses will be pinned in place at the discretion of their unions. The change Griffin is contemplating is unnecessary and inconsistent with both the law and the dynamics of our free-enterprise system. It will upset the balance mandated by the Supreme Court and should send a chill up the spine of unionized companies contemplating relocating an operation. It´s a question that has been at the heart of the health care debate for the past five years, and one that has been the source of plenty of confusion and misinformation: How much does Obamacare actually cost? Over at the newly launched vox.com, Sarah Kliff has a piece attempting to offer an easy explanation of President Obama´s health care law. Kliff is always worth reading on health care policy, but when describing the cost of Obamacare, she writes, “Expanding health coverage to millions of Americans is expensive; it will cost more than $1 trillion over the next decade.” In reality,

“In the end, history is not kind to those who would deny Americans their basic economic security. Nobody remembers well those who stand in the way of America’s progress or our people. And that’s what the Affordable Care Act represents.” President Obama, who made that statement last week, has never uttered truer words. Obama’s signature legislation is plainly standing in the way of Americans’ economic security and progress, a fact for which he and his congressional allies won’t be remembered kindly. The federal government’s own Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), housed in the executive branch, tells the tale. In June 2009,

The party has traditionally had trouble with older voters, losing the group aged 65 and over by 21 points in 2010 — when Republicans picked up 63 seats — and by 12 points in the 2012 presidential race. Seniors are the GOP’s most reliable voting bloc in midterm years, turning out in higher numbers than Democratic base voters.
