I´ll Take Sweden
American Spectator, by William Tucker

President Obama swung through Sweden Wednesday on his way to Russia and couldn’t miss the chance to comment on what a wonderful job the Swedes are doing in creating a clean energy world: Sweden is obviously an extraordinary leader when it comes to tackling climate change and increasing energy efficiency, and developing new technologies.(Snip)Now, would you like to know what is really going on in Sweden? Here are the facts: Sweden does indeed have the lowest rate of carbon emissions in Europe, 5.3 metric tons per capita as opposed to 6.1 in France, 8.1 in Austria, 10.5 in Norway and

I would be easy to think the obama types (and Al Gore) are just standard run of the mill idiots. But then when one looks at bank accounts and lifestyles (our "idiots" are either billionaires or just live like billionaires) it becomes obvious that all these politicians are massive corrupt, breathtaking in scope. Would make Ferdinand Marcos jealous.

Obama and his administration are experts at parsing out the truth. They easily get away with this because the media is lazy, inept, and totally in the tank for him. History will record that the greatest causation for the decline in this country will be media influence whether it be carrying Obama´s water or filtering out the truth. They are truly despicable.

Yes, the Swedes are obedient little socialist sheep who instinctively follow every progressive mantra. But the carbon emission figure stems from vast dependence on nuclear and hydroelectric power, not from living like medieval peasants. as Gore would have us do.

One of my best friends had her daughter marry a Swede (who was living in America at the time). He got transferred back to Sweden and the parents went to visit.

They were horrified. My friend is an artist and does not appreciate being told what to do, so the hive mindset of the Swedes made her insane. The daughter and the Swedish son-in-law both can´t wait to move back here.

Their stories of the nosy, obnoxious people there are legion.

The daughter actually had a neighbor tell her that her children had "too many toys" and then explain how "morally wrong" it was for her kids to have more toys than the other kids. I am not kidding.

Oh, yeah, give me some of that socialist, nit wit garbage. Let´s be more like Sweden -not!

A total of 92% of Swedish energy from nuclear and hydroelectric purposely not reported? Criminal!

The U.S. mainstream media´s sins of omission (little known) are more harmful to our liberty than its (well known) sins of commission.

And my poor Danes...rumbled to sleep at night by their windmills, jumping at the chance to buy Swedish nuclear power. Remember last winter when the solar panel-crazy Germans were buying French nuclear power during an extended period of clouds/storms? There are three lessons here:
1) Sometimes the wind don´t blow and the sun don´t shine,
2) But atoms can always be kicked hard enough to split them, and water always flows downhill (hydroelectric), and
3) Politicians are corrupt and stupid (I just thought I´d throw that in).

IMPEACH!

Here’s another reason why government should never own a business. In February 2010, the Obama Administration’s Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood told America, without a shred of evidence, that Toyota automobiles were dangerous to drive. LaHood offered the remarks in front of the House Appropriations subcommittee that was investigating reports of unintended-acceleration crashes. “My advice is, if anybody owns one of these vehicles, stop driving it,” he said, sending the company’s stock into a nosedive. Even at the time, LaHood’s comments were reckless at best. Assailing the competition reeks of political opportunism and cronyism. It also illustrates one of the unavoidable

“I’d rather be a really good one-term president than a mediocre two-term president,” Barack Obama said, well before his 2012 re-election. Most historians do not seem to believe that a really good president can be a one-termer. Two-thirds of presidents have not been re-elected (generally due to death or defeat), but in most academic rankings James Polk is the lone single-termer to crack the Top 10. Polk may be a stumper in a game of “Jeopardy!,” but he did double the size of the United States in four short years, and only ill health forced him to step aside after one

WASHINGTON — Immigration activists have sharply criticized President Obama for a rising volume of deportations, labeling him the "deporter in chief" and staging large protests that have harmed his standing with some Latinos, a key group of voters for Democrats. But the portrait of a steadily increasing number of deportations rests on statistics that conceal almost as much as they disclose. A closer examination shows that immigrants living illegally in most of the continental U.S. are less likely to be deported today than before Obama came to office, according to immigration data. Why the GOP could control

Republicans are now favored to control both chambers of Congress after the 2014 election. And thanks to favorable maps in both the House and the Senate, they could hold both for plenty of years to come. While much has been written in recent weeks about the GOP´s improving chances to win the Senate in 2014 -- and, to a lesser extent, the Democrats´ chances of winning it back in 2016 -- a look at the Senate map as a whole tells us this: Regardless of what happens in the next few years, Republicans have a distinct advantage in the battle

They’re practically the first words out of one’s mouth the second a Washington reporter hears about a new health reform proposal: "How many people does your plan cover?" The basic premise of the America Next health plan I’m endorsing today is simple: “I believe the problem is not that folks are trying to avoid getting health care. The problem is they can’t afford it.” In short, I agree with Barack Obama. Of course, Barack Obama circa January 2008—when he uttered those words in opposition to a health insurance mandate -- represents a far cry from the Barack Obama who signed ObamaCare into

WASHINGTON -- The U.S. government masterminded the creation of a "Cuban Twitter" - a communications network designed to undermine the communist government in Cuba, built with secret shell companies and financed through foreign banks, The Associated Press has learned. The project, which lasted more than two years and drew tens of thousands of subscribers, sought to evade Cuba´s stranglehold on the Internet with a primitive social media platform. First, the network would build a Cuban audience, mostly young people; then, the plan was to push them toward dissent. Yet its users were neither aware it was created by a U.S. agency with

Democrats may lose their majority in the Senate this fall. It may be difficult for the president to accomplish anything during his last two years. In the March NBC News-Wall Street Journal poll, 42 of registered voters say they would be less likely to vote for a candidate endorsed by Obama. Only 22 percent say they would be more likely to vote for Obama’s candidate. Why is this happening? Republicans

Barack Obama’s legacy legislation, the Affordable Healthcare Act (ACA) – commonly known as “Obamacare” – has clearly become the political equivalent of the wreck of the Hesperus. Jeb could raise millions of dollars over night by just saying “yes” to running. Despite all this, there are strong reasons Republicans should say no to him. 1. His last name is poison. Let’s face it, if Jeb Bush had the last name of Something Else he would have already run for president in 2008 or 2012. According to a recent Washington Post/ABC News poll registered voters were asked if they would definitely NOT vote for Jeb Bush and 50 percent said they would not.
