Obama´s inept foreign policy
USA Today, by Glenn Harlan Reynolds

Original Article

Posted By:Dreadnought, 9/3/2013 9:38:47 PM

One of the things we were promised back in the 2008 election campaign was that under a Democratic administration America would be better liked and more influential in the world. Forget those dumb cowboys in the Bush/Cheney administration whose brash style grated on foreign sensibilities: Smooth, Europhile Democrats would win over the world, ushering in an era of peace and good feeling. So, as Sarah Palin might say, how´s that hopey-changey stuff workin´ out for ya? Not so great, as it turns out. Things got off on the wrong foot right away with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton´s botched "reset"

No blood for ego! I pray that the Republicans won´t go along with this fiasco, but my faith in them is running on empty. We have no business doing this. Putting our military near a muslim civil war with crazies on both sides who hate us and will use chemical weapons is unconscionable.

I am surprised to read an article critical of Obama in USA Today. Hopefully, someone in Boehner´s, Cantor´s, McConnell´s or McCain´s office might read it as well, and while they are at it, they should read The Independent´s September 3 article about the chaos going on in Libya two years on from their Arab spring. The American people, the Syrians, the faith leaders, the military are all telling the leaders to stay out of there, or it´ll just end up in chaos like Libya.

What is so sad about this entire episode is the lack of real political opposition except by a few such as Sens. Paul, Cruz and Lee. The next sad thing is all the talk of Hillary in 2016. The next sadder thing is how all (little that it was) attention is off of the IRS, NSA, Benghazi, etc scandals.

1. Bush never said war with Iraq was ever over them having WMDs. This was what the Dems, MSM and all lefties started saying repeatedly.
16 Words in the State of the Union speech about info that Iraq was tryig to buy yellow cake was taken by the Dems, repeated, repeated and repeated again and again until ALL were indoctrinated.brainwash to believing the reason for going into Iraq.
It was plainly stated time and again it was Regime Change.
2. obama wants to continue his ARAB spring and it´s looking more like the Saudis are the backers of the Arab Spring.
3. Articles about rebels receiving the chems from Prince Bandar of S. A. is reported.
4. obama thinks this action with Syria will keep Benghazi off the table. The two IMO are connected with arms being supplied to the rebels/al qaeda...the two are closely connected.
5. Refuses to consider Egypt a coup----but remember it didn´t take but seconds after Morsi was installed for obama to call and congratulate his muslim brotherhood friend on his rise to the top in Egypt. Is he standing with millions in Egypt who wanted the muslim brotherhood gone.
6. How in the world can anyone who has been such a total screw-up even begin to want to show his face at a G-20?
7. High ranking muslim brotherhood imprisoned by Gen. Sisi in Egypt has A son who is saying there is proof that obama is a registered Muslim Brotherhood, I believe that story more today than yesterday.
8. WHY did he bow to the Saudis?

Obama hasn’t squandered American power, whatever the neocons think. THEY did that by executing failed wars in utterly failed states such as Iraq. Having used our military might to no avail, we now threaten it and are somehow surprised we aren’t taken seriously. And enough with the arguments about credibility! The United States would benefit by nothing more than accepting the fact that we do not have the power to control that region and shouldn’t die trying.

Foreign policy, domestic policy, no matter what policy Obama endorses, it’s not worth the paper it’s printed on. In his case, Zig Zag?

Formerly “Community Organizer,” Currently “Country Disorganizer,” Barack Hussein Obama, if that’s even his real name, has proven time and again over five disastrous years that he is unworthy of the trust of “We the American People.”

Wonder of wonders, even a few in his heretofore sycophantic media are finally beginning to look at him sideways. What’s next for them? Dining on Crow and Billy Beer?

As far as I´m concerned, the only action we should take anywhere in the middle east is to make sure we assist Israel. They are they only one´s in that part of the world that we have good relations with. Saudi Arabia? Not when they openly support al-Qaeda. And any of the other Arab states that do the same. I really don´t see any of them being "our friends". All they really want from us is dollars for their oil. That´s so a very small handful can live opulent lives while their subjects starve.

I watched Fox News at 90 p.m. tonight and they had on a special program on the attack on America of 9/11/2001. It brought back so many memories - I hope millions tuned in to see it. President Bush, IMHO, was masterful in his handling of this Muslim attack on America.

When it ended I thought "How on earth could voters have allowed this America-hating fraud to gain our White House? It was those with whom he sympathizes who perpetrated 9/11." Enough said.

Social Security stops trying

Washington Post, by Marc Fisher    Original Article

The Social Security Administration announced Monday that it will immediately cease efforts to collect on taxpayers’ debts to the government that are more than 10 years old. The action comes after The Washington Post reported that the government was seizing state and federal tax refunds that were on their way to about 400,000 Americans who had relatives who owed money to Social Security. In many cases, the people whose refunds were intercepted had never heard of any debt, and the debts dated as far back as the middle of the past century. “I have directed an immediate halt to further

The Dallas Morning News´ Senior Political Writer Wayne Slater (DMN) reported that Davis supported legislation governing a toll road project. Democrats have had a recurring problem in special elections this year: Their voters aren’t turning out. If a weak economy and continued Obamacare problems persist, the November elections could be a disaster for Democrats. Last week, Democrats lost two special elections they weren’t planning to. Arlington, Va., is a classic wealthy ObamaTown, filled with government workers and limousine liberals. Mitt Romney won only 29 percent of the vote in 2012. But last Tuesday, Democrats lost their first election for the five-member Arlington County Board in 15 years when John Vihstadt, a Republican running as an independent, won a vacancy on

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said little as federal agents seized and then released cattle last week from the Bundy ranch, but there is little doubt that the highly charged episode was threatening to become a political headache for the Nevada Democrat. The Bureau of Land Management is headed by former longtime Reid aide Neil Kornze, who was confirmed by the Senate as BLM director on Tuesday, just as federal authorities descended on the cattle ranch outside Mesquite, Nev. Mr. Kornze issued a statement Saturday saying that the bureau would return the cattle and withdraw its agents from the ranch

On the defensive about their prospects in the midterm elections this fall, congressional Democrats have spent all of April savaging the Republican budget proposal, decrying the Koch brothers and championing a series of bills meant to ingratiate themselves to struggling middle-class voters. In promoting legislation that would extend unemployment benefits, increase the minimum wage and promote equal pay for women, the Democrats have declared themselves the party that will ensure a “fair shot” for all. Republicans, they insist, are the party of special interests. It has been a classic Washington messaging campaign for these partisan

On a trip to Moscow early in her tenure as secretary of state, Hillary Rodham Clinton played the role of international saleswoman, pressing Russian government officials to sign a multibillion-dollar deal to buy dozens of aircraft from Boeing. Following the massacre of grammar-school children in Newtown, Conn., in December 2012, high-powered weapons have been used to kill innocent victims in more senseless public incidents. Those killings, however, are only a fragment of the total harm caused by the misuse of firearms. Each year, more than 30,000 people die in the United States in firearm-related incidents. Many of those deaths involve handguns. The adoption of rules that will lessen the number of those incidents should be a matter of primary concern to both federal and state legislators. Struggling homeowners across the country could face significant new tax bills if they receive mortgage relief from their banks, a prospect that threatens to slow the housing recovery and put further strain on distressed borrowers. The collapse of the housing market and plunging home prices left millions of people stuck owing more on their mortgages than their homes were worth. Some have worked with their banks to reduce the loan amount to avoid foreclosure or enable a sale. In 2007, Congress adopted a law that spared those homeowners from being taxed on the amount of the loan that was forgiven. But

Although the Civil Rights Act, the landmark legislation which just reached its 50th anniversary, made great strides in desegregating the economy, economic discrimination is still widespread, and anti-discrimination legislation alone can never rectify the economic damage inflicted upon blacks by slavery and our Jim Crow apartheid regime. The Civil Rights Act was a mild reform, all things considered, but one conservatives fought with vigor and one many conservatives are still bitter about to this day. When the Civil Rights Act passed in 1964, the primary purpose was to root out discrimination in public accommodations (like hotels and movie theaters)
