He is famed for his I Have a Dream speech given 50 years ago, but the estate of Martin Luther King Jr is having a nightmare as the civil rights leader´s children argue over his memorabilia. The estate, run by his two sons, has sued a non-profit organization run by King´s daughter, Bernice, claiming she planned to keep using her father´s ´irreplaceable´ memorabilia despite no longer being licensed to do so. The lawsuit claims speeches, recordings and even the remains of King, who was assassinated in 1968, are at risk of being damaged by fire, mold and theft. King´s niece,

What a disgrace and total lack of respect for such a black icon.King actually had good intentions for his folks but his memory and things he stood for have been co-opted by the white and black left, using King as a wedge to worm more money and other forms of justice from the taxpayers, aka. whitey. This is no different than the historical bastardization of Lincoln to a progressive, social activist.

We had an early warning on this kind of behavior.
When King was shot and killed, it took forever and a day to bury him. Instead, his body was hauled around from place to place, on a farm wagon, pulled by a team of mules, if my memory serves me.
This family may be more money hungry than Bill and Hillary.

When Dexter and Marty 3 ran things, the King Center was a shambles, historic papers were grubbed over and stained and the building was innserious disrepair, while the Kings reaped $$ , inclusing selling MLK Jrs papers to the Citynof Atlanta for $30+ million , while retaining the copyrights! Now the National Park Service has invested in the neighborhood (something not done by Dex or M3) and has built a shining complex with interactive videos and photographs, making it a destination for hundreds of thousands of visitors annually. Bernice and Alveda are not the problems here. Dexter (the would-be "movie star") and Marty 3 are the problem. Let´s audit all the way back about 25 years and see where the $$$ went. Follow the money.

Prince William´s smashingly bad idea

You’d think someone whose very life and livelihood are all about history would be a little more mindful of it – even the bad bits. Of all people, Prince William, the heir presumptive to the British throne, should know something about the dangers of forgetting history, accidentally or deliberately. And yet, in his passion for the deeply, harrowingly important cause of ending the killing of animals for the ivory trade, he wants to get rid of the evidence of the crimes he wishes to expose. HRH the Duke of Cambridge told primatologist Jane Goodall that he would like to smash every one of

In his State of the Union address, President Obama gave the country fair warning when he said he would try to rule by executive action if Congress did not follow his orders. He began to make good on that pledge yesterday by announcing that he would enact new fuel standards for heavy-duty trucks. Along with other new regulations that are being promulgated without benefit of the approval of Congress, the big truck rule is part of the president’s effort to show the world that he is working to save the planet from climate change. Of Course the Dumbest, Weirdest Feud

By far the weirdest feud in American media and politics right now is the alliance of Donald Trump, Breitbart.com, and, now, Sarah Palin against BuzzFeed and the reporter behind a piece suggesting that maybe Donald Trump´s political aspirations were insincere. The whole thing is funny mostly because it necessitates the question: Why on Earth is anyone defending Donald Trump? This whole kerfuffle began a week ago, sparked by BuzzFeed reporter McKay Coppins´ hysterically comprehensive review of Trump´s weirdo pseudo-campaign. Appearances in New Hampshire, flights to Florida, a fervent insistence that Trump was considered important and legitimate as a candidate. It´s

Today marks the five-year anniversary of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Commonly known as the stimulus, the nearly $1 trillion law was hailed as an opportunity to bring America into the “21st century.” Just two years after the bill was signed into law, President Barack Obama admitted, “shovel-ready was not as shovel-ready as we expected.” While the law failed to create jobs as promised, it has provided plenty of examples of waste, fraud, and abuse. Five years and at least $816.3 billion later, here are 10 ways the government wasted taxpayer money. 10) $1.3 Million for Stimulus Highway Signs

Sarah Palin has made an endorsement in Texas. She’s backing tea party leader Katrina Pierson over Rep. Pete Sessions. In a Facebook post, Palin notes that Pierson’s “life’s story is full of hardships she has fought to overcome, which taught her firsthand the importance of self-reliance, hard work, and the blessings of liberty.” One of those hardships includes a 1997 arrest for shoplifting. The former senator’s strong second-place showing in 2012 shocked—even scared—the GOP’s kingmakers, who saw in him an abortion-hating firebrand with no chance of beating Barack Obama. He’s too busy plotting another possible run at the White House. In recent months, Santorum has gathered his inner circle of longtime advisers to sketch out a presidential campaign.
