Atheists Call 9-11 Memorial Cross
“Grossly Offensive”

FOX News & Commentary, by Todd Starnes

Original Article

Posted By:NYC RAL, 8/28/2013 7:56:35 AM

A Jewish firefighter who wants to display a Christian cross as part of a New Jersey 9-11 memorial is facing stiff opposition from a group of atheists who called the religious image “grossly offensive.” The American Atheists are threatening to sue Princeton, NJ if they proceed with plans to erect the memorial. They took issue with a beam that was salvaged from the ruins of the World Trade Center because a cross had been cut out of one side of the beam. “This particular beam has a religious symbol on it,” American Atheists president David Silverman told Fox News.

The atheists, who profess to believe in nothing, sure do work very hard to prevent any symbol that represents a higher power from being displayed. Could it be that their belief in nothing is a very tenuous belief and subject to believing if they see these symbols. Horrors!!!

Their inalienable right to hold such an offensive position flows from a document which accepts that these are "endowed by their Creator" (with a Capital C). Deny the Creator and natural law will have an open season on you.

Those of us who are grossly offended by pretty much everything in popular culture these days have been told for years to suck it up and deal with it. Well, it´s time for the athiests to suck it up and deal with it. Being offended is part of life. Get over it.

So what they want us to believe is that the government, by allowing that cross to stay, is trying to establish a religion. Even they don´t believe that. Their real mission must be to pull others down into the gutter in which they reside.

If they don´t believe in God - how can it be offensive? The cross would be meaningless. It would signify nothing.

On the other hand ... the cross could really upset and possibly "grossly offend" a guilty conscience.

The resurgence of atheists goes hand in glove along with the other elements put in motion by the communists a century ago to destroy our culture from within. The most successful culture to date, in the history of man. The only bright spot is Russia and China are having to deal with those elements, too, these days. Too bad our ancestors didn´t have the brains to understand the constitution wasn´t a suicide pact, and allowed the libtards to subvert so much instead of just hanging them (after a fair, 5 min trial, of course).

Yes, Mr. Silverman, the Romans purposefully made a cross to be "grossly offensive" in order to control people who didn´t follow Roman laws. Now, because of one man who died on a cross but stubbornly wouldn´t remain in his grave, a cross symbol is a way for many people to say "I will not remain in a grave". Whomever carved out that cross in the beam was refusing eternal death.

So, Mr. Silverman, no one is forcing you to believe in escaping eternal death. You go right ahead and call the cross "grossly offensive" because it was around the year 33 AD, but you will never be able to eliminate the cross. Our homes, hospitals, offices, schools, and plant facilities have one thing in common - a crossbeam.

I am grossly offended now, too. Not by any religious symbol but by these self-centered atheists who object to anything THEY don´t like (and who care about no one else rights).

When are people going to start suing them back for violating their rights of religious liberty?

I have rights,to, not just atheists! That Jewish firefighter has them as well. So does anyone who ever went to church, mass, synagogue or anything similar.

Mr. Silverman is a disrespectful and odious narcissist who apparently thinks he is superior enough (and stupid enough) to sue everyone´s ELSE´S religious beliefs away. Pathetic!

Atheists are not more special than other people. Others have the same rights as them. This attorney is an overgrown, obnoxious 5-year-old in an adult body, and should (as should everyone else of his ilk) stop trying to tell everyone else how to behave and what to think and believe.

Can we please stop training these desperate-for-attention-types to know that they can get loads of their narcissistic supply from our court system and media?

And members of our legal system worry about clogging up our courts. This egotistical, pathetic excuse for a lawyer is doing exactly that..

However, since its in Princeton, New Jersey, I´m sure his poisonous and obnoxious attitude will be lauded by the city and their obviously cowardly mayor.

The cross is not the target. Religion is not the the only target, the target is the Constitution! Unalienable rights begin with the supremacy of God. Destroy that foundation and the Constitution is reduced to meaningless words. The left is using everything and I mean everything to destroy America. They control the courts, the media and the education system such as it is. Pray for the return of Jesus Christ, He is our only hope and always has been.

Toddlers show racial bias when picking playmates, a study reveals. They also take account of how fairly others behave. Researchers tested the reaction of white 15-month-olds as toys were distributed. Two white adults divided the toys, one equally and the other unequally. Seventy per cent of the toddlers chose to play with the researcher who distributed the toys fairly. But in a second test, when one researcher favoured a white recipient over an Asian one, they picked the ‘fair’ researcher less often, the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports. And the babies are more likely to help those who share the same ethnicity, which is known as

Hank Aaron’s recent comments about the need for America to realize that racism is still very much alive and thriving — only now due to those who wear “neckties and starched shirts” rather than KKK hoods — has sparked an angry backlash and many fans are turning the tables, calling the baseball legend himself a racist. “Hank Aaron is a s*****g piece of [expletive] [racial slur],” one man said in an email to the Atlanta Braves’ front office, one of the teams Mr. Aaron used to play for, CBS News reported. “My old man instilled in my mind from a

Western Washington University sent a questionnaire to students asking them for advice on how the administration could succeed at making sure that in future years, “we are not as white as we are today.” The question notes that WWU’s racial make up does not perfectly reflect the nation at large, and asks students to consider strategies that other universities have used to focus on skin color as the paramount indicator of a student-applicant’s worth. The president of WWU has stated that his explicit goal is to reduce the white population on campus, according to Campus Reform. “I’ve said before and I’ll say it

But since President Obama worries more about the threat of terrorists´ improvised nuclear device going off in a major American city than anything Russia can throw at us, I was wondering if the government had deigned to share with us citizens any tips for, you know, surviving something their own intelligence points to as the likeliest unlikely Black Swan event. Well, no. And yes. No — very few people in Washington, D.C., who work for the government have any idea what they would do if a 10-kiloton nuclear device exploded at the intersection of 16th and K

The Right Rev. Gene Robinson said in a tweet, accompanied by a photo of Mr. Obama behind a podium at the event: “POTUS ‘preaches’ at the Easter prayer breakfast. Then, out of the blue, asks ME to close with prayer. OMG!” Newsmax said he also emphasized that the words he chose to close the breakfast
