Oakland: Study finds racial
bias in boys´ arrests

San Francisco Chronicle (CA), by Carolyn Jones

African American boys in Oakland are arrested far more often and for relatively minor offenses compared with their cohorts in other racial groups, according to a study released Wednesday by an Oakland nonprofit. Between 2006 and 2012, black boys made up 73.5 percent of all juvenile arrests in Oakland, even though they comprise just under 30 percent of the city´s under-18 population, according to the analysis by the Black Organizing Project, an Oakland nonprofit that said it based its report on public records and did the study as an effort to improve conditions for African Americans. Of those black boys arrested, nearly

The contorted logic and outright statistical fraud perpetrated by the left in their on-going effort to avoid addressing the actual problems boggles the mind.

Why can´t any of the moonbats understand that blacks are arrested more often than others because they commit more crimes? It seems pretty simple to me...but no they must twist and contort numbers into lying statistics. It´s really very simple.

Only 73.5% of arrests? I thought it would be 100% - - but - - mayve there were some White Blacks in the stats.

So in Washington DC, a higher numbers of African Americans are arrested and sent to prison by black prosecutors, black judges, and black juries. Racists!

Readily resolved by the following formula:
73.5 - 30 = 43.5.

Liberate 43.5 percent of all juvenile black arrests, and social justice is satisfied! Of course, that figure will likely nudge up in following years.

Oakland has had problems for years, but the youngsters there have become really bad in the past 20-30 years. Ever since the gang and thug culture took over, it got 20 time worse. Even all my old-timer friends who grew up there (and yes they are black) are disgusted by it. Thank you Democrats (and that includes you, Jerry Brown!)

Eight years crime as a crime news stringer for a TV station, from one city, frequently riding with the police on patrol. Anecdotal, sure. But crime prevention experience in two other cities in two other states and a stint in an Attorney General´s office in yet another state make this a little more substantial.

When a shift begins the order almost always goes out "do not self-initiate calls" (night calls especially.) This usually means "we´re busy as hell and we can take only those calls for service phoned in by civilians to the 911 call center." See someone carrying a brand-new TV down the road? Ignore it, take the next 911 call for service from the dispatcher.

So? What does this mean? It means whoever is calling 911 for assistance generates the statistics.

The FBI crime seminars and conferences I attended almost always included somewhere that "90% of the calls come from 10% of the area." The police do not go out looking for miscreants, they are most often confined to 911 calls for service. Unless there is a fire, someone having a heart attack right in front of the patrol car, someone shooting a gun at the car, etc., there is not enough time to initiate a call.

These African American boys in Oakland made their own statistics.

Not even going to read it. It has been shown over and over and over again that the racial breakdown of those arrested tracks EXACTLY the race of the person described by witnesses as the perpetrator. If 73% of those arrested are black, it is because in 73% of the crimes witnesses said the perpetrator was black. End of discussion.

We have created this culture of black thugs. It is caused by generations of blacks living on welfare, food stamps, and no effort to get themselves out of the ghetto. Young girls are impregnated by roaming black men who take no responsibility, and young black men grow up with no goals, no incentive, and they do not work, so they have a lot of time to commit crimes. There are more black men arrested because they do the most crime. How hard is this to understand?

When I see articles like this one, which lead with black youths are arrested far more often and for relatively minor offenses compared with their cohorts in other racial groups I want to see how they compiled those statistics. Then we find out Trayvon, as a black student was handled "in-school" with suspensions rather than being referred to the "real" police department for actions that "may have" resulted in a white student being referred to law enforcement and prosecution. How much else of "criminal nature" is hidden using similar tactics?

Much like the men who claim they were unfairly cited for "driving while black." When I drive at night, it is very hard to tell the race of the other drivers, especially when traffic is moving over 25 miles an hour. But, from both my personal observations and from watching programs such as "Cops" it seems that the majority of white drivers politely say, "Is there a problem, sir?" in a soft tone of voice, but the majority of blacks start out with something like, "What the f- did you stop me for m-f?" in an angry tone of voice and many more expletives.

And it seems that the expletives are uglier, earlier and more often in black children than those of other races. JMHO
