Syria: why would Assad invite a
Western intervention by using
WMDs in a war he was winning?

Telegraph (U.K.), by Tim Stanley

Original Article

Woah! Hold your horses, Barack. Before we go to war with Syria can we be absolutely surely sure that we´ve got our pretext right? Only we´ve made a horrible mistake about WMDs before… The official UK/US narrative on the conflict in Syria is this. Last year, we drew a red line in the sand: if the regime uses chemical weapons then it makes itself a legitimate target for military action. Last week, it apparently did just that – murdering hundreds of people, including children, in a suburb of Damascus. John Kerry described this slaughter as defying "any code of morality",

One mistake, Stanley. Iraq did have WMDs and used it on Kurds. According to one Iraqi military man, they were shipped to Syria in convoy that the NYT reported. They were gone by time we invaded. It is more likely that rebels who are tied to Al Qaeda are using them now so Assad may be innocent as surmised in column. Kerry and Obama are idiots.

Infowars has proof that one of Obama´s brothers is linked to Egypt´s Muslim Brotherhood.

Obama is supporting the rebels in Syria because they are lined to the Muslim Brotherhood.

The nerve agent attack is a plant. This is all false to help the Muslim Brotherhood.

There is a very real possibility that the Islamic "rebels" did this to frame the Syrian government. We need to stay out of this. Plus, Obama and Kerry do not have the right to use our military to blow up people simply because they feel like it. Launching missiles at Syria will be an act of war and the Constitution has clear limits on the President´s ability to do this.

We´re being cheer led into a war (about which the congress will, illegally, not be consulted) whose only purpose is to show how tough Obama is and at the risk of a wider nastier war in the Middle East.

We were duped into invading Iraq on the false pretext that Iraq had WMDs. Now the Syrian rebels may be similarly duping us into invading Syria by falsely claiming that Syria has used WMDs. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me a second time, shame on me.

(For those who insist that Iraq did have WMDs: After a thorough search of Iraq following the war, the CIA stated that there were no WMDS in Iraq AT THE TIME OF THE INVASION!)

There is no doubt that Hussein (Saddam, not Barack) had WMDs. He used them! There were myriads of chem suits found, and weeks upon weeks to round them up and move them.

So boo! on the weak journalism from this author.

I agree with this article. Assad had nothing to gain and everything to lose by using these weapons. Al Queda/Muslim Brotherhood have thought nothing in the past of killing their own to make a point or make someone else look bad. Why is no one asking where these weapons came from? I suspect they are part of the Iraqi arsenal sent to Syria just before the war, as described by Israel and the head of the Iraqi air force.

#16 - parse the sentence. Since Hussein had moved most of the stuff to syria before the invasion - he did have about 6 weeks or more notice with the UN jockeying of course the actual weapons weren´t their any more by the time the coalition went in.

Of course, they (the libtard fantasists) also claimed he didn´t have any yellowcake - but Canada got what, 300 tons, a year or two into the Iraq occupation when it was discovered?

Revisionist history is a trademark action by libtards, cockroaches that they are.

On New Year’s Eve in 2011, software developer Robin Seggelmann was in front of his computer trying to work out some kinks in the security software most of the Internet uses. That’s when he made a mistake, which led to one of the worst bugs ever in the Internet known as “Heartbleed,” a flaw in the security infrastructure (OpenSSL) for a large swath of the Web. Nowadays, it’s unusual for someone to step up and take responsibility, But Seggelmann, a German developer, did just that.

Those killings, however, are only a fragment of the total harm caused by the misuse of firearms. Each year, more than 30,000 people die in the United States in firearm-related incidents. Many of those deaths involve handguns. The adoption of rules that will lessen the number of those incidents should be a matter of primary concern to both federal and state legislators.
