Obama Administration: Its
Incompetence Is Historic

Investor´s Business Daily, by Michael Barone

Evidence of the astonishing incompetence of the Obama administration continues to roll in. It started with the stimulus package. One-third of the money went to public employee union members — a political payoff not very stimulating to anyone else. Billions went to green energy loans, like the $500 million that the government lost in backing the obviously hapless Solyndra. Infrastructure projects, which the president continues to tout, never seem to get built. He´s been talking about dredging the port of Charleston, for example, to accommodate the big container ships coming in when the Panama Canal is widened. The canal widening is proceeding

Glad to see the ol´ perfessor, Michael Barone, back on the threads.

Where has he been, I´ve missed him?
Perhaps a privately financed vacation, unlike that of the Wannabe Kommie Dicktater.

O-Bomber stinks.
We all knew that, but it´s nice to have Barone list the particulars for us again.

As for FDR and his praise, Barone lets him off pretty easy here.

The only problem with Hopkins is that he was a communist mole and a spy.
Appointment good for Stalin not millons killed and enslaved by him with Hopkins help.
It is incompetence by Mr. Barone not to know this fact.

Yes. We finally got a president who hates everything America stood--and stands--for. Everything he has done will have to be undone by his successor, if that successor is a worthy human being.

Re #3: Eleanor Roosevelt was uglier than a mud fence. What are you trying to say? That ugliness shines from the inside? (Yes.)

Au contraire, Mr Barone, the Obama Administration is succeeding beyond the Won´s wildest dreams. If you measure success as the destruction of the Rule of Law, the shredding of the Constitution, the expansion of government to gargantuan proportions, the collapse of the free market economy and the creation of millions of new government dependents. Plus he is protected by his media Praetorian guards who denounce any criticism as racist. All in all, Obama is making out like a fat rat. The country, not so much.

While I there are many issues that I disagree with FDR, he faced circumstances for more serious and dangerous than anything BO has faced and FDR addressed them in arguably in the "best interests" of the US and the civilized world, particularly with foreign policy.

BO´s biggest concern is his tee time, what is on the menu, where and when will be his next vacay and what is the most effective way to insult the American people and our foreign allies, while befriending and embracing our mortal enemies.

Incompetence is an understatement.

FTA "We have a president who delights in delivering partisan speeches to adoring audiences but doesn´t seem interested in whether his administration gets results." The adoring audiences are usually some college or university with a bunch of students with skulls full of leftist mush. But he is getting the results he wants but Barone just can´t bring himself to believe it. The destruction of the Republic and the Constitution continues at a torrid pace and neither might survive obama, the communist Democrats and the msm.

So it begins it is not statist policies that fail but Obama. Obama failed because of the policies he is committed to. It is not racist to oppose Obama´s policies it is just sane. FDR with the new deal was getting these policies started. The fact that they don´t fail right away is no credit to FDR. The whole FDR ( not Bush ) mess is blowing up in Obama´s face. Socialist - Statist policies are doomed to fail because they are not adult responsible policies but a childish fantasy, a revolt against reality.

Interesting piece. My only quibble: Barone says that Fauxbama has made some good appointments. I´d like to know who they are. Holder? Hagel? The PIAPS? Lurch? Now Cass Sunstein´s freckled wife who toddles off to Ireland rather than doing her job? The energy secretary who doesn´t drive but wants gas prices to triple? Plugs? Looks more like a funny farm or house of horrors to me.

I think that saying Obama is incompetent is being too kind. Everything he is doing is being done by design, not due to incompetence. For instance, with Obamacare, his team is purposefully breaking the current health care system and getting people thrown off plans, destroying the traditional work week, etc., with the simple goal of getting the American people to then demand a government run system for everyone so that they can have health care. The Panama Canal...same thing. We will be at a disadvantage, while China will be at an advantage. It´s all about bringing American down a few notches so that we "level" with the rest of the world. Obama doesn´t believe we are exceptional and wants to make sure we can no longer make that claim.

No, it´s not incompetent; it´s willful and being done out in the open with a complicit press.

Where is the Harry Truman wing of the Democrat Party? Despite the Thomas E. Dewey momentum in 1948, Truman remained in the WH, because enough voters felt comfortable with him in charge at the end of WWII. Harry was a little more "warm and fuzzy" than the patrician-looking, Dewey.

After Truman, the succeeding Democrat Presidents have progressively worsened to the point we now have a blatantly unAmerican president whose decisions border on traitorous - I guess "None Dare call It Treason".

Incompetence has very, very little to do with what is happening to this nation.

The Mulatto Marxist was born into and raised in a Socialist/Marxist home by people who hated this nation and everything She stands for; he was schooled at the knee of Frank Marshall Davis, and every Marxist position he was taught has been fine-tuned, honed, and practiced.

Everything that´s happening is completely by design; incompetence is only a small part. I don´t buy into the "Soros [or someone] is pulling his strings." Every bit of this is pure 0bama. Start to finish. The only "outsiders" who have a hand in it are the fellow travelers that he´s "appointed" as either cabinet members of Czars. How on earth Barone could possibly believe that he´s made good appointments tells me that Barone should immediately make am appointment with a good optometrist.

At leas FDR was an American citizen. He dabbled in Communism which takes him off the radar for me as being a good President. He was not exposed until it was too late Obama has been exposed as Mr. Barone has said, almost immediately. As much fighting as the tea party has done, there are too many Americans who are disinterested and clueless because of the media. We have to keep on fighting and it is gratifying that a couple of people are trying to expose it, but it isn´t enough. We are in great peril because of our fellow Americans.

When Michael Barone says Obama “has made some high-quality appointments,” I’m sure he’s referring to tee times. Who wants to tee off at a bleary-eyed 6AM when you can embark upon the first fairway at 10? Then break for a leisurely lunch, go on to play the back nine after having been fed, refreshed and re-sharpened your scorecard pencil.

Pundits such as Michael Barone have been around for a long time. They study and write extensively about America’s presidents so I don’t have to.

I just heard the grand champion irony for perhaps the entire decade if not the century. It was a UNION open letter to our government and the people of America explaining how bad obamacare is and how it is destroying the historic 40 hour work week. The unions go on to say that it will impoverish the workingman (read union member) and destroy our health care system. Aren´t these the same tireless workers who put Obama, that steaming pile of cowflop, in to the White House for two terms? May the unions that helped create this poisonous scum be destroyed by him.

a White Hutt with a Brown-stain on it.

Perhaps the Smithsonian could make a special request to receive Half-Bro´s hut from Kenya

just as they have some Star Wars movie memorabilia there on display...

This one could be labeled...
"Actual domicile of Jobless in da Hutt..."
and note that he´s part of the Star Wars Cantina scene of our First Black President.

I am confident that we shall overcome...
the hideous nightmare O-Bomber has deliberately inflicted on our once-great land.

I know Mitt Romney could clean it up and I´d also love to see Ted Cruz get in there...
Mitt is squeaky clean and a financial whiz plus a nice cooperative guy...
Ted Cruz as we know is brilliant and our next great hype and hope, we think...

That´s why I favor Cruz-Romney....
or Romney-Cruz... for 2016...
Either way, I´ll take it...
Romney can be Cheney to Cruz´s Dubya...
Know what I mean?
With Romney the emphasis will be on the finances... whereas Cheney is a national
security maven...

I was a young child when The Soviet Union became the poster child for nations needing help to escape the horror of Hitler. We were asked to give our pennies to save Russian children . it was the ultimate to honor those brave people. The the gov. had nothing to do with their courage.
This was pushed by Mrs. R who actually bought into the Commie creed and when FDR refused to grant the Soviet Union more she formed the 5th column.
Later when when he began to slip she ran the country with the help of those minions.

Hillary Clinton´s upcoming memoir, which is expected to look back at her time as secretary of State, now has a name: Hard Choices. Which is an okay title! She no doubt had to make some tough decisions while at State, and has at least one big decision to make coming up in the next year or so. But the former Cabinet member and possible future presidential candidate may have been better served by a different title—like, say, Tough Decisions. Because Hard Choices has already been used. Regardless of how people feel about Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy’s standoff with the federal Bureau of Land Management over his cattle’s grazing rights, a lot of Americans were surprised to see TV images of an armed-to-the-teeth paramilitary wing of the BLM deployed around Bundy’s ranch. President Obama is suddenly upset about the alleged wage gap between men and women, but he´s not responding to a national economic crisis. Instead, he is attempting to revive the "war on women" theme that, according to Washington wisdom, helped carry Democrats to victory in 2012 and might do again in 2014. If this narrative were true, the White House could spend the year demonizing Republicans as women-hating creeps, driving women to the polls in November and helping the party hold the Senate. But the conventional analysis isn´t accurate. National exit polls from 2012 show scant success for the war-on-women

When it comes to tracking the cost of Obama family vacations, there are two primary challenges. First, the Obamas are prolific jet-setters, so there are many details to track. Second, the Obama administration, clearly embarrassed by these lavish and frequent family vacations, stonewalls the release of records at every turn. But we have been relentless in pursuit of this information. Our attorneys file the lawsuits and make our case, and our investigators pour through pages of records and crunch the numbers. And the information we’ve uncovered – information that would otherwise remain under lock and key – shows that the

I live in Las Vegas. I live and breath Nevada politics. Something is very wrong. Something smells rotten in the Nevada desert. And Senator Harry Reid’s fingerprints are all over it. I am of course referring to the Bundy Ranch siege. This was a dispute between a Nevada ranching family with rights to the land in question for 140 years and the BLM (Bureayu of Land Management). The government claims they haven’t paid grazing fees for 20 years. The result was a government assault on the ranch- including snipers with assault rifles, SUV’s, helicopters, airplanes and over 200 heavily armed troops. No

After presenting at the Academy Awards this year, Kim Novak didn’t want to leave her house. The Hitchcock screen siren, 81, was too humiliated to venture from her home near the Rogue River in Oregon. She read the cruel posts and Internet snark about her appearance, and it was just too much. “It got to me like it gets kids and teenagers,” she told the Associated Press. The “Vertigo” actress, considered one of the great beauties in her day, posted a note on her Facebook wall Thursday, acknowledging that she’d gotten fat injections in her face and addressing her halted

President Obama addressed the White House press corps today, announcing that with the final numbers in, Obamacare´s exchanges have attracted eight million sign-ups -- 35 percent of whom are "under the age of 35," he said. Several elements of his comments were misleading: (1) At first blush, the 35 percent stat is both significant and impressive. As recently as last month, the share of "young invincibles" signing up for plans was struggling in the 25 percent range, far short of the actuarial target of nearly 40 percent. A leap into the mid-30´s, while still shy of the goal, would constitute a major step, and would bode well for the risk pools'

Democratic Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren wrote in her forthcoming book that she was “hurt” and “angry” by 2012 reporting on her fraudulent claim to Native American heritage. “What really threw me, though, were the constant attacks from the other side,” Warren wrote in her book “A Fighting Chance.” “I would almost persuade myself that I was starting to get the hang of full-throttle campaigning and then — bam! Out of left field, the state Republican Party, or the Brown campaign, or some blogger, would launch a rocket at me,” Warren wrote, adding, ”I was stunned by the attacks.” This reporter (blogger?) reported extensively

WASHINGTON — Former President Jimmy Carter joined fellow Nobel laureates Wednesday in opposing Keystone XL, insisting that approving the pipeline would trigger “more climate upheaval” around the globe. In an open letter to President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry, Carter and the nine other Nobel Peace Prize winners bluntly warned the leaders: “Your decision on the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline will define your climate legacy.” The missive, published as an advertisement in Politico, represents the first time Carter has taken a position on the $5.4 billion project and makes him the first former president to come

It’s the stuff of Westerns: a showdown on the desert plains, the big bad government against an underdog farmer. Though the story has only grabbed national headlines in the past several days, rancher Cliven Bundy has illegally grazed cattle on the Nevada land surrounding his farm for over 20 years. He hasn’t paid grazing fees since 1993, and refuses to renew the necessary grazing permit.(Snip)Rather than using the avenues and pathways presented to him, Bundy has staunchly declared his own law and allegiances. Unfortunately, reality doesn’t work this way. If only it did—we could rebel for paying stupid taxes, refuse to

With Easter soon approaching, the Rev. Al Sharpton on Wednesday drew parallels between the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the resurrection of President Obama’s political career. Joining the “Tom Joyner Morning Show,” Mr. Sharpton said that his message for this Easter is that “no matter what the world may do to you unfairly, no matter how you’re crucified — nailed to the cross at home, or in your personal relationships, or on the job — that you can rise if you don’t lose yourself during the hard times and the challenges.” The reverend went on to say that Christ endured so much humiliation and unearned suffering leading up to his death,

FORT WORTH — Democratic gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis will undergo neck surgery today, her campaign said Tuesday. “After experiencing shoulder and right arm pain in recent weeks, Sen. Davis will have a routine surgical procedure to remove bone spurs and degenerative discs that are creating compression on the nerves in her neck,” campaign spokesman Zac Petkanas said in a statement Tuesday. “This is a common issue experienced by runners and endurance athletes,” he said. Davis, of Fort Worth, will undergo the outpatient surgery at the Fort Worth Brain and Spine Institute. Dr. Thomas Ellis will perform the

The cash infusion by the federal government is actually going to help the city pay pensions, even though they´re playing a kind of shell game with the money. As for "blight removal," perhaps they could start with city hall. Reuters: Michigan officials and President Barack Obama´s Administration are discussing a plan to free up $100 million in federal money to aid Detroit´s retired city workers, the Detroit Free Press reported on Tuesday. Citing two people familiar with the talks, the newspaper said the talks were centered around federal money flowing to Michigan for blight removal. Under the plan, $100 million
