ObamaCare: When Socialist
Theory Meets Practice

American Thinker, by Clarice Feldman

Original Article

America is lucky to have had two great social theorists: Yogi Berra and Richard Feynman. Had the Democrats heeded their words of wisdom when the issue of ObamaCare arose they´d not be sliding down the slippery slope they greased all by themselves. Yogi´s warning is nice and succinct: "In theory there is no differ between theory and practice. In practice there is." Professor Feynman said much the same thing but in a few more words: "The real question of government versus private enterprise is argued on too philosophical and abstract a basis. Theoretically, planning may be good..."

It seems Democrats never receive blame for disasters for which they are the cause. I don´t see that changing with regard to Obamacare.

Excellent article, but no mention of Obama exempting Congress and their staffers (fear of "brain drain" rofl) from this highly unpopular and unconstitutional (no matter what the court ruled, bad law is still bad law)POS.

Obamacare´s big push for Electronic medical record keeping is making the system worse. The computers allow power mad risk adverse administrators to now dictate every patient care decision via the protocols ye build into the system. It´s check a box medicine and woe to the doctor or nurse who makes an independent decision.

From my experience going on blood thinners I have become convinced that if insulin has been discovered in 2012 rather than 1922 diabetics would not be allowed to self test and administer. The risk management types now running the medical show would decide it´s too dangerous, patients are too dumb and would surely kill our selves trying to handle dosage adjustments and they would be blamed.

The most alarming aspect of this incredibly flawed law is the idea of the "navigators". These people are going to show up at your home unannounced to inspect you and your environment. They have full access to all data on you, including financial and health.

The Obama regime loves the idea of having a civilian army with boots on the ground harassing and enforcing policy on us. I would not be surprised to see navigators having pistols.

Navigators, detectives, IRS police,KGB it´s all got to STOP. We have a prejudiced IRS,
out of control NSA, CIA, FBI, BATF all being added to patient doctor. Organizers everywhere in nightmare armed strength. And they´ve got millions of hollow point bullets to fire at patients, er, citizens. Time for a fifty million march of bikers, all military in the U.S. in uniform every kind of citizen, maybe even a few welfare and food stamp bums. Protest to equal and top Egypt, bless them. The strategy is straightforward: take the senate. With both the house and senate this monstrosity can be stopped. And Fauxbama can be stopped. And he can be impeached if he keeps ramming things down our collective throats by executive action rather than legislation. At the same time we have to have a clear alternative ready, one that includes tort reform, e.g. I can´t wait to vote in 2014. If I were a democrat I´d be even more anxious to vote, since I could vote two, three or fifty times.

Excellent article. But does not touch upon what, IMO, is the basic aspect of this fiasco. The chaos is not unexpected nor unintentional to the perpetrators. Their idea seems to be, if it works well and good. If it doesn´t, they will come begging for single payer anyway. And regardless, the extraordinary powers that come to the Federal Government through the repeated use of the phrase "the HHS Sec shall..." does not go anywhere.

Obama War Room: Come on. Do it.

OBAMA: What is the matter with those people? I’ve given them more than enough reason to impeach me and distract everyone from my efforts to socialize America.
VALERIE JARRETT: It has to happen soon, sir. The general public is finally wising up to us.
OBAMA: Let’s go around the table. What can I do to encourage House Republicans to pull the trigger? HHS?
KATHLEEN SEBELIUS: An extra-judicial expansion of a woman’s right to choose, sir. I’ll announce that, under ObamaCare, an infant may be aborted up to one year after birth when sleep deprivation threatens the health of the mother.
OBAMA: Good! Treasury?
JACK LEW: I’ll require financial institutions to place 2% of all Roth savings into a special fund to be tapped only when union pensioners are at risk of losing their benefits.
OBAMA: Nice. Defense?
CHUCK HAGEL: Pardon the Fort Hood shooter, sir. Explain you’re showing compassion because he acted out of deep religious conviction rather than malice.
OBAMA: Should get me a little cred on the Arab Street, too. State? Where’s Kerry?
DAN PFEIFFER: Listening in while windsurfing off Nantucket, sir. I’ll put him on speaker.
JOHN KERRY: Here, sir. I propose a non-aggression treaty with Syria.
OBAMA: Hmm. A Twofer. It’ll outrage Congressional hawks and scare hell out of Assad at the same time because he knows I always renege on my promises. NSA, any new outrages you can put out there?
GENERAL ALEXANDER: There’s nothing I can do to cause people to become even more fearful of their government, sir.
OBAMA: Fair enough. Okay, I need one more killer suggestion that guarantees my impeachment. Anyone? Anyone?
ERIC HOLDER: Declare Trayvon Martin’s birthday a national holiday, sir. That should. . .

[enter First Lady]

MICHELLE: Sharpton just arrived for the meeting. Tell him his new deodorant, Resist We Musk™, isn’t working. You hear me, Barack?

If you are veteran of military service or currently serving your children are now considered "at risk" and you will be subject to "home visits" to inquire into their welfare. Please READ this article. Check out the comments about "Home Enforcers" it begins with this sentence:

"Government Home Enforcers, too. In case the "navigators" provision isn´t making you concerned for the safety of your accounts and angry enough at the predictable ripoffs, here´s a report on the HHS enforcers. HHS is paying $224 million to check up on you and your home environment:"

There is a link in that sentence to another article which explains this. It´s astonishing!

I don´t plan on filling out any paperwork sent to me regarding this law. And like I said before, any government agent or employee that attempts to come to my door will be told to leave, and force will be used as necessary. The only legitimate reason for entry will be a warrant, and that will only be honored if executed by a Sheriff´s deputy. Warrants on the federal level will not be considered valid reasons for entry. Are you listening? Probably. Fair warning.

Do Democrats actually believe that putting a ginormously expensive ginormously unaccountable ginormous bureaucracy between people and their health care (while taking away their freedom of choice and rationing "care" for good measure) is really about "helping people"? Of course they don´t.

They´re doing it because they want to punish people. They won´t admit it, but they all know it.

I´m with #13. Ultimately, individuals are the only ones who are responsible for their inalienable rights by excercising them. If you talk to the "navigator", if you fill out and sign a form, if you are cowed by a government lackey at your door then you are the one who is delivering yourself into slavery.

Clarice gives a concise rundown on the possible effective actions open to the Republican Party. But, we all know they will do nothing beyond a meaningless gesture. We have no political solution. We are on our own. If the good of liberty is to win out over the evil of socialist slavery, it will be done one by one.

My friend who love Obama and Obamacare, and is excitedly waiting to "get" it, said that all of these problems are just going to need some adjustments. I have the VA health care system, and she asked me how long that has been going on and I said on probably 60- to 80 years, not knowing exactly how long it has been in operation, and she said will in 60 to 80 years Obamacare will be jst as good for the people as the VA Healthcare system is for veterans. A major concern of progressives is their supposed interest in the fate of the poor. They purport to be the champions of the poor. But the truth is that they need the poor more than the poor need them, in a symbiotic relationship. As much as 75% of the money allocated to the poor is consumed by the vast bureaucracies that administer this aid. These agencies are actually job programs for college graduates who would often find it difficult to find employment in the private sector. Early on in the Genesis chapter of the Bible much is made of Adam giving names to all living creatures. Like everything about the Bible, the meaning of this event is subject to many interpretations, the most often given is that it signals man’s dominion over the other creatures of the earth. I don’t dispute that reading, but to me, the naming description signifies that there can be no real communication among people unless the names we use mean the same thing to all of us. A spade certainly is a garden implement, but if you are in the gardening

In the business world, a diligent board of directors would have long ago fired CEO Obama. Sometimes it takes only a year of less than expected earnings to result in the termination of a corporate CEO. A couple of underperforming years and a few reasons more, and a CEO would have his bags packed and stowed underneath his buck-stopping desk. Several elements of his comments were misleading: (1) At first blush, the 35 percent stat is both significant and impressive. As recently as last month, the share of "young invincibles" signing up for plans was struggling in the 25 percent range, far short of the actuarial target of nearly 40 percent.
