White House to hold closed-
door session on bisexual
issues next month

Washington Post, by Juliet Eilperin

The White House will hold a closed-door roundtable discussion on issues facing bisexuals Sept. 23.The event, described in an invitation by White House LGBT liaison Gautam Raghavan as a session focused on “issues of importance to the bisexual community,” was first reported Thursday by the Washington Blade. “Participants and administration officials will discuss a range of topics including health, HIV/AIDS, domestic and intimate partner violence, mental health and bullying,” Raghavan wrote.

I thought there was a pivot to jobs?

Nothing against bisexual people, but aren´t there more pressing issues that the White House should be dealing with? This type issue sounds more like a community, school, church, social welfare issue and NOT a White House issue.

The economy is in the crapper. The Middle East is raging. The NSA is spying on American citizens. The IRS is bullying American citizens of a conservative stripe. There is untold violence in the streets.

But the White House is going to talk about sexuality?

Can this White House walk and chew gum at the same time? NO! So it should be solving more pressing problems!

I suppose Obama will soon send me an email on bisexuals, with the same title.

"I will stand with the Bisexuals should the political winds shift in an ugly direction."*

To add realism to his 9/23 speech promoting bisexualism, Obama will stand in the midst of the bisexuals assembled for yet another campaign speech.

* - In “Audacity of Hope” he writes: “I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.” The quote comes from page 261 of the paperback edition of “The Audacity of Hope.

We hold weekly, white, anglo-saxon, protestant land-owning, male focus groups at a cigar store here in San Antonio.

For diversity´s sake, we have a Puerto Rican, a Catholic, a Lutheran, a non-smoker, wives, single women, a moderate and the occasional druggie who wanders by asking for a handout (which we refuse).

To date, no ´bi-sexual issues´ have been revealed. Shocking, isn´t it?

Obamugabe is quite obviously CRUISING. This time he´ll be doing it in the comfort of the White House, surrounded by anti-aircraft missile batteries and armed guards with real firearms.

This will involve one of those totally nekkid push back the furniture group grope orgies in the Oval Office.

Grandma will find herself and the daughters locked in their bedrooms for the duration.

including health, HIV/AIDS, domestic and intimate partner violence, mental health and bullying

All except the last item are internal to the relationship.

Given the small percentage of people (1.8% of American adults according to one report) who are bisexual, you´d think that if HIV/AIDS, domestic and intimate partner violence and mental health are bisexual issues important to be discussed at the WH - that there is really something essentially "abnormal" about bisexual people.

Hmmm. So Egypt is in paroxysms of violence and ethnic cleansing;

Syrian villages reportedly writhing in poison gas attacks, children dying in agony;

our new UN Amb., Samantha Power, AWOL, not attending an emergency session in the UN Sec Council to deal with Syria;

all our alliances in shambles;

all the Reset buttons, (really "overcharged") have been pushed until the wiring frays, yet the Russian guffaw at the foolishness... John Kerry is trying to sailboard on Hillary´s wake;

we´re on the verge of adding millions of people to the wagon, while fewer and fewer workers struggle to pull it;

the economy continues to sink; people are losing hope; despair spreads; college grads can´t find jobs (college too expensive and BO is going to "fix" that? everything he touches only gets more expensive); gas prices remain twice what they were when BO was inaugurated, with the heating season upon us; family food budgets tighten; healthcare costs are soaring... etc etc

nihilism is pervasive; amoral youth --abandoned by adults who ought to be parenting them-- are cast adrift and find it easy and pleasurable to act out their mindless hatred;

and while Rome is burning, NeroBO is having a closed door meeting with people who have sex with anything that moves?

On Pascua Yakui Indian Reservation, Ariz. — Tribal police chief Michael Valenzuela drove through darkened desert streets, turned into a Circle K convenience store and pointed to the spot beyond the reservation line where his officers used to take the non-Indian men who battered Indian women. “We would literally drive them to the end of the reservation and tell them to beat it,” Valenzuela said. “And hope they didn’t come back that night. North Carolina teachers haven´t had a pay increase in five years. They currently rank among the lowest paid in the country. Authorities said Monday that a pair of sex offenders suspected of raping and murdering at least four women probably wore their court-ordered GPS devices during the crimes. Franc Cano, 27, and Steven Dean Gordon, 45, had been required to wear the devices after serving time in prison for sexually assaulting a child under the age of 14. Police on Monday also said that they are now “confident” that there is a fifth victim -- and perhaps more -- in a string of slayings that has been tied to a pair of registered sex offenders. Pamela Phillips, 56, had pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder. The Obama administration is poised to entertain a flood of new clemency applications from thousands of federal prisoners who were given harsh sentences under mandatory-minimum laws following drug convictions, Attorney General Eric Holder said Monday. Holder said in a short videotaped statement that he wants to shrink the federal prison population by a modest amount while ensuring ´that those who have paid their debts have a chance to become productive citizens.´ At the center of the move is a set of old sentencing rules that punished crack-cocaine offenders with more time behind bars than users or traffickers of powder cocaine.

If Jeb reaches for the nomination, there will be a titanic battle between the party establishment and the Tea Party. Steve Schmidt, McCain’s strategist in 2008, insists that in the end Republicans usually settle on the most electable candidate. To get by, this Bush may be forced to trim his positions, although the cautionary tale of Romney suggests that he would have to tack artfully and carefully for the sake of the general election. Washington - Michelle Obama said "splurging is the key to life" if you regularly eat right and stay active. Her biggest guilty pleasure: French fries. "How would you appreciate vegetables if you never had chocolate?" she asked. "You couldn´t live without a little chocolate, a little French fries." The first lady took questions from children reporters Monday after appearing at the White House Easter Egg Roll. She told the children that if they eat right the majority of the time, then a splurge or snack is not going to hurt them. "I still splurge when I can, but that's why I try to exercise almost every day," she said.

There’s a pattern of falsifying statistics throughout the entire Census Bureau. And anyone who attempts to blow the whistle on the fraud is either retaliated against or ignored, according to two new sources who have experienced the process firsthand. As I’ve been writing for more than six months, the Census Bureau office in Philadelphia uncovered a case of fraud in 2010, did nothing about it and allowed the practice to continue. In that instance, a data collector named Julius Buckmon was faking reports that went into the nation’s all-important jobless tally and consumer-inflation survey. Because the Census Bureau’s surveys are scientific — meaning

New audio reveals an Eastern Connecticut State University professor warning that Republicans will “want things to go back — not to to 1955, but to 1855? if they win control of Congress in November. Republican victories could also put him out of a job, he cautioned. “We will live in a very, very, very different kind of country if that happens,” Professor Brent Terry told students in his Introduction to Creative Writing course, according to audio obtained by Campus Reform. “I mean, colleges will start closing up if these people have their way.” Over the course of his rant, Terry characterized conservatives

As he moves from lobbyists to the golf course, from press conferences to the tanning bed, he remains oblivious to all that is around him. He has power, incredible power, and yet to this day he has no understanding of the election that made it so. Moreover, all around him are astonishing opportunities for him to be an historic figure -- one who could and should be the man who did more than any other single person in turning back the red tide of Obama. It’s all there for Speaker of the House, and yet John Boehner manages to miss

The Citizens Commission on Benghazi, a self-selected group of former top military officers, CIA insiders and think-tankers, declared Tuesday in Washington that a seven-month review of the deadly 2012 terrorist attack has determined that it could have been prevented – if the U.S. hadn´t been helping to arm al-Qaeda militias throughout Libya a year earlier. ´The United States switched sides in the war on terror with what we did in Libya, knowingly facilitating the provision of weapons to known al-Qaeda militias and figures,´ Clare Lopez, a member of the commission and a former CIA officer, told MailOnline. She blamed the Obama administration

Global sea levels have risen by 8 inches (20cm) since 1880 and scientists predict they could rise up to 3ft (98cm) by 2100. But despite the UN’s recent threats of war, famine and extreme weather, such a dramatically different world caused by sea level rise can be hard to imagine. To help picture the future, Martin Vargic, an amateur graphic designer from Slovakia, has created a map depicting the planet with sea levels around 260ft (79m) higher than they are today. He imagines what Earth would look like if the ice sheets surrounding the North and South poles melted, releasing

It may not be tomorrow, but Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) says "something will happen" to force a Nevada rancher to obey a court order to stop grazing his cattle on federal land and pay his grazing fees. "It´s obvious that you can´t just walk away from this," Reid said in an April 18 interview with a Nevada´s KSNV-TV News 3 program “What’s Your Point?” "You can´t have a law that is -- we´re a nation of laws, not of men and women," he said. (Video) Reid noted that most cattlemen pay their taxes, pay their fees, and follow

Joan Eisenstodt didn´t have a stopwatch when she went to see an ear, nose and throat specialist recently, but she is certain the physician was not in the exam room with her for more than three or four minutes. "He looked up my nose, said it was inflamed, told me to see the nurse for a prescription and was gone," said the 66-year-old Washington, D.C., consultant, who was suffering from an acute sinus infection. When she started protesting the doctor´s choice of medication, "He just cut me off totally," she said. "I´ve never been in and out from a visit faster." These days,

Harry Reid isn’t backing down from his claim that rancher Cliven Bundy’s supporters are “domestic terrorists.” It’s astonishing rhetoric given the White House’s characterization of the mass shooting by a genuine terrorist, Major Nidal Hasan, who killed 13 Americans at the Fort Hood Army base after yelling “Allahu Akbar!” (God is great.) Rather than labeling Hasan’s actions “domestic terrorism,” the Obama administration is prosecuting him for having committed “workplace violence.” Democratic rhetoric is become ever more desperate and overheated as we approach the November midterm elections. Last week, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said that GOP positions on immigration were motivated by
