No, Ted Cruz ‘birthers’ are not
the same as Obama birthers

Washington Post, by Aaron Blake

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) on Monday released his birth certificate, seeking to put to rest questions about whether the Canadian-born senator is qualified to run for president in 2016. Immediately, parallels were drawn to President Obama’s 2011 release of his own birth certificate, which also was meant to end lingering questions about his eligibility to be president. And for the few in the birther community, they see hypocrisy. Why are the media not denouncing those who question Cruz’s eligibility in the same way they have denounced the so-called “birthers” who continue to question Obama’s? The reason? Because about the only

I`ll tell you why, WaPo idiots. By the time Ted Cruz runs for president, the whole country will know everything about him. Where he was born, educated, what he did as a teenager, who his friends are and were, etc. Now go find this info on your Paper Hero who now resides in the WH.

The reason Barack Obama is not eligible to be POTUS is not, primarily, his ongoing lack of an authentic birth certificate. The reason Barack Obama is not eligible to be POTUS is because he is a Leftist ( = Marxist; = therefore opposed to everything the US Constitution stands for). That, and only that is what, at the root of it, the Democrats and "progressives" refuse to face. And demand we never talk or even think about.

...hmmmm, it seems the actual difference is that in the case of Obama, the media chose to impugn anyone who questioned the birth certificate and paint them as crazy, even when discrepancies in the document were plenty. In the case of Cruz, the media now chooses to create an air of doubt regarding the legality of Cruz´s eligibility. The bottom line is to always create the scenario for low information voters that liberals are good and conservatives are bad.

My guess is that there is enough information to convict the current occupant of the White House, if we were to look at the falsification of documents that were involved in his application to the Illinois Bar Association, applications to colleges, and social security numbers, not to mention his false selective service registration. But what do I know?

Does the fact that the certificate posted by obama, clearly a photoshopped fake, mean anything? Does knowledge of "layers" make someone who points that out make that person a "birther"?

What a complete pile of cr*p from the WaPo!

The parallel is being drawn to Obama´s 2008 refusal to produce a birth certificate, followed by two years of whining and snarking which culminated in the release of a phoney birth certificate.

Interpretation of "natural born" should not be left to a politicized SCOTUS. A Constitutional Amendment is needed to resolve this issue.

As to Cruz: he´s a good man, but we have others to lead the charge, like Rand and Sarah and Mike. No need to deal with this controversy. There is a significant place for Ted in the movement; not everyone can or should be POTUS.

I´d still like to know why every biographical source for Cruz lists his mother´s maiden name as "Darragh," while the birth certificate gives her surname as Wilson. I´m sure there´s a reasonable explanation, but the confusion doesn´t help matters.

The Left is a full-tilt smear, because they are in a full-tilt panic. The Left will always tell you who they fear.

We´ve already had one article [that I´ve seen, maybe more that I haven´t] this morning quoting Cruz´s college roommate and others, painting Cruz as weird.

I predict the Criminal Liberal Media will soon find classmates from kindergarten to impugn Cruz, but they can´t find two people who remember from Harvard --or any of the other institutes of higher learning that we´re supposed to believe 0b@$tard attended.

Brace yourself, Ted. This is just the beginning. But two can play the game. It´s been suggested that Hillary Dirt circulating now is designed to innoculate her in preparation for her run. So have at it, Leftists. Let´s innoculate Ted. Let´s get it all out there. Air it.

I agree, very different groups. One is full of lying wackos that hate any and all things about this country and the other is full of well meaning honest people that only want the best for the country. One group is controlled by the media for the anti-Americian left and the other is hated by the media and the left.

Regarding being a citizen at birth vs. being "natural born, Mr. Blake states: "most scholars think it’s the same thing."

Sigh. Did no one study logic in high school, let alone college? Blake´s entire argument rests on the double logical fallacy that because a majority of experts believe it, therefore it is so. I doubt that there is any empirical data to substantiate his claim regarding the majority position. Where is the poll? Where is the study? Sounds like a made up statistic to me. Kind of like the "majority" of scientists who were claimed to have fallen for the anthropogenic global warming hoax. Besides, even if it IS the majority position, it´s wrong.

He´s right about one thing: the Obama issue was (is) a question of fact AND law (was he born on US soil and if not what is the effect?) and the Cruz issue is only a question of law (is one born outside the US "natural born"?). Neither Obama´s photoshopped birth certificate nor Cruz´s real birth certificate settle either issue.

My view, in case anyone asks, is that neither McCain nor Cruz is natural born, and Obama is still a question mark. In all honesty, I doubt even Obama knows the facts regarding his goofball family heritage. Short of DNA tests, hard telling who his daddy was. The only thing I am sure of is that Barack Hussein Obama is not his legal name, but that´s irrelevant.

The first to open fire was an unknown gunman from the alley, Chicago Police Department News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines said. People running back into the apartment building from the back porch were confronted by a man at the front door who also opened fire, he said. Problems getting judges confirmed by the Senate have been a constant complaint for this White House — but this week, President Barack Obama’s aides are celebrating a confirmation count that outpaces President George W. Leading the field in job creation, not surprisingly, was education and health services with 34,000 jobs—thank you Obamacare-- the retail trade with about 22,000 jobs—thank you Obamacare-- and temporary workers with 28,500 jobs —thank you Obamacare.
