The Media´s Double Standard

On August 15, 2012, at 10:46 a.m.—one year ago this week—Floyd Lee Corkins entered the lobby of the Family Research Council in Washington, D.C. He was carrying a backpack that contained 15 Chick-fil-A -sandwiches, a Sig Sauer 9mm pistol, and 100 rounds of ammunition. Corkins has since pleaded guilty and is awaiting sentencing for the crimes he proceeded to commit. He’s set to spend decades in a prison cell and fade into obscurity. But Leo Johnson deserves to be remembered for his heroism that day. The building manager for the Family Research Council was manning the front desk

Thanks for posting. I plan to bring up Leo Johnson´s name any time someone calls the press unbiased.
If Leo Johnson had died from the gunshots, would Jesse, Al and Eric Holder be calling for federal civil rights action?

Thank you to Mark Hemingway for the remembrance of Leo Johnson´s heroism, and to OP for posting.

Special thanks to Leo Johnson for his heroism, and for demonstrating the content of his character by word and deed.

An hate-filled leftist, who volunteered with a homosexual activist group, came to kill - with A GUN - the Christian employees at Family Research Council.

The attacker got his idea from a "hate map" at Southern Poverty Law Center, the Left´s go to source for determining what is hate.

To the MSM, Leo Johnson is a "hater" who works for haters at the FRC. The MSM knows that because the SPLC still has the FRC listed on their "hate map". Up is down, right is wrong, and good is bad to them. So, unless Leo Johnson shows some of his well-hidden hatred by attacking a leftist group with a gun, he won´t get much attention from them, or from the likes of the "Reverends" Jesse and Al - those shining examples of everything lovely.

Eco-extremists can often be heard expressing their frustration that more people don’t take their climate change alarm-mongering more seriously. I realize this is just one guy, but… that’s partially because of moments like this. So brilliant. Labour peer Viscount Simon, 73, raised concerns about the “smelly emissions” resulting from the UK’s unusually high consumption of baked beans. He put energy and climate change minister Baroness Verma on the spot during the government’s daily question session in the upper chamber. … Lord Simon said: “In a programme some months ago on the BBC it was stated that this country has the

From 1964 to 1968, close to 34,000 Americans died in South Vietnam. We will never know how many Vietnamese women, men, and children perished during those years, but the total, according to most estimates, was at least one million. Among the dead were tens of thousands of civilians—blown apart by explosives dropped from planes, burned to death by napalm, or gunned down by U.S. troops whose commanders told them that, in a village considered loyal to the Vietcong, they should “kill anything that we see and anything that moved.” Their commander-in-chief was Lyndon Baines Johnson. KIEV, Ukraine -- Ukrainian special forces were deployed Sunday to an eastern city where armed pro-Russia men seized a police headquarters and the Security Service office, the interior minister said. Arsen Avakov wrote on his Facebook page that the "separatists" who seized the buildings in Slovyansk had opened fire on the approaching troops. This claim could not immediately be confirmed. The unrest in Slovyansk and the nearby major industrial city Donetsk were the latest shows of spiraling anger in eastern Ukraine, which has a large Russian-speaking population and was also the support base for Viktor Yanukovych, the Ukrainian president ousted in February

It was the best of hugs; it was the worst of hugs. Or so the description might have gone had Charlie Crist labored a bit longer on his new memoir, in which the erstwhile governor of Florida—who is now campaigning for the job again—relives the fateful embrace with President Obama that he claims sunk his political fortunes in 2009. Rather than try for style, Crist renders the moment with the racy, staccato gusto that one might expect from a pulpy romance. “We shook hands. The new president leaned forward and gave me a hug. Rolling Stone’s Constitution cover is in need of an amendment. The cover of the storied rock magazine’s latest issue features a naked Julia Louis-Dreyfus with a faulty U.S. Constitution inked on her back. Just above her derriere sits the signature of one of the nation’s most prominent Founding Fathers, John Hancock. There’s only one problem, however: John Hancock didn’t sign the U.S. Constitution. Hancock, president of the Second Continental Congress, actually signed the Declaration of Independence. RICHGROVE, Calif. — In March 2013, a man with brooding, mahogany eyes and a walrus mustache traveled from his home in California to visit relatives in Alabama. The trip did not end well. When a business acquaintance insulted Jose Manuel Martinez´s daughter, Martinez put two bullets in the man´s head, officials said. It was a matter "of family honor," Errek Jett, an Alabama prosecutor, said Wednesday. But it was not, it turned out, the first time he had killed — far from it, authorities believe. Martinez, 51, was charged Tuesday with killing nine men mostly in California´s Central Valley, part of a

The Irwindale City Council´s action allows city officials to enter the factory and order changes if the odors persist after the 90-day deadline. The measure passed by a unanimous 4-0 vote. The decision came despite testimony by air-quality experts that progress was being made toward a resolution. Many Americans have been watching with great consternation the ongoing struggle between the Federal Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and the U.S. Marshals against Cliven Bundy and his family. There are no signs of either side relinquishing their position. Many onlookers have been informed that this dispute is over protecting the desert tortoise. But it is nothing of the sort. In fact, the reality of the dispute goes far underneath what is being talked about. The more appropriate source of the dispute is ground water as well as surface water -- this is a war over water. The son of the Nevada rancher locked in an increasingly tense land dispute with the federal government, says their cowboys managed to break a blockade and retrieve around 30 head of cattle. Federal agents swooped on Tuesday after Cliven Bundy, dubbed the last remaining rancher in southern Nevada, refused to remove his herd of 900 cows from land he claims has been in his family since 1870. The heavily-armed federal agents, equipped with eight helicopters and backed-up by snipers, surrounded the Bundy ranch after the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) attained a federal court order to confiscate the family´s herd. Following the massacre of grammar-school children in Newtown, Conn., in December 2012, high-powered weapons have been used to kill innocent victims in more senseless public incidents. Those killings, however, are only a fragment of the total harm caused by the misuse of firearms. Each year, more than 30,000 people die in the United States in firearm-related incidents. Many of those deaths involve handguns. The adoption of rules that will lessen the number of those incidents should be a matter of primary concern to both federal and state legislators. Legislatures are in a far better position than judges to assess the

Nearly a year into the IRS scandal, we still don´t know exactly what happened—though we are finally getting an inkling.
