Students go back to school
with ‘Trayvon Martin dialogues’

Daily Caller, by Robby Soave

Original Article

Middle and high school students in San Diego, California will be encouraged to vent their frustration that the world lacks justice when they return to school and participate in the “Trayvon Martin dialogues” this fall. The board of San Diego Unified Schools unanimously approved a proposal recently to establish classroom forums to discuss the death of Trayvon Martin, a black teenager who was shot during an altercation with a Hispanic man, George Zimmerman, in Florida last year. A jury recently acquitted Zimmerman, who claimed that Martin struck first and shot him in self-defense.

There´s an email (Recognize this Guy?) circulating with a picture that purports to be a photo of Trayvon Martin ... tattoos all over his face (inc. big red/blue star on right cheek), neck and hands, mustache.

Big burly guy from the looks of the photo.

Lies, lies, lies.

What happened to the "the whole truth and nothing but the truth" part about telling the truth?

Our schools should not be promoting lies of any kind - including those by omission.

Trayvon Martin Dialogues - they should be short and sweet. Just tell the anxious black kids not to racially profile a stranger as a creepy a** cracker or a pedophile gay rapist, and, for heavens sake, don´t punch him in the nose and then pummel his head onto the concrete sidewalk. The stranger may pull out a gun to shoot you in self-defense.

Perhaps the "Trayvon Martin Dialogues" should be combined with the "Vagina Dialogues" (which claim to be a "conversation about mothering.")

Race wars are on the way. I would just caution blacks to look at the numbers before they entertain thoughts of winning.

By the way, it won´t be the non-blacks who start it.

Whew! For a moment I thought it read, Trayvon Martin Dialect. As in the state´s star witness Jaentel:

Jeantel, who was on the phone with Martin shortly before he was shot by Zimmerman Feb. 26, 2012, explained: “They don’t understand, they understand, ‘Oh, he would just bash, or was kill.’ When somebody bash somebody, like, blood, people, trust me, in the area I live, that’s not bashing. That’s just called “whoop-ass.” You just got your ass whooped. That’s what it is.’

fta: "The full proposal calls for forum participants to explicitly condemn “stand your ground” laws, which permit citizens to use force to defend themselves in dangerous situations instead of retreating."

So, when a student expresses an opinion that supports "stand your ground" laws, condemns "gangsta" lifestyles, or is any way supports the Zimmerman "not guilty" verdict -- will they still pass the exercise, or will they be expelled from school under a "zero tolerance" policy?

There isn´t really much to discuss for those who aren´t capable of seeing anything outside a racial prism. Trayvon, a nearly full grown young man who was already a feral budding criminal who was a burglar, firearm enthusiast, drug user and seller, truant (expelled from two schools), racist and homophobe, and wannabe mixed martial artist with a hip hop mentality and a huge chip on his shoulder. He was an accident waiting to happen, and like many thugs, he chose the wrong person to be the object of his aggravated assault. Appearances are deceiving. That mousy looking sucker over there might be equipped to kill you. If you try him, you might find out that he will.

What´s saddest is that Trayvon Martin´s parents didn´t have the desire, the sense of responsibility, or the adult maturity to bring him up right. Left to his own devices he became a criminal. Alive, he wasn´t worth much, if anything, to them. It was onkly a matter of time; he was headed for the penitentiary or the cemetery. Dead, he´s worth millions to his parents. That´s a helluva note for a wasted life. More important, the hysterical reaction to his (probably justified) homicide has marred, perhaps for generations, the racial harmony that had advanced so far before Obama came around.

Her son´s have zero chance of ever ending up like that. She´s no Sybrina Fulton and her sons are no Trayvon. Why is it so hard to admit the truth.

#2 - Why is it ok for this school board to waste tax dollars on anti-2nd Amendment propaganda using this case as cover? The case had nothing to do with "stand your ground," these people know it, and they are willfully promulgating a racist lie to children for purely political reasons. How is that acceptable to the parents of the school district?

Proponents of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) insist that the law will extend health insurance to millions, expand access to health care, and improve Americans’ overall health. But, as the New York Times recently reported, at least 20 percent of the new enrollees have not paid their premiums. They therefore do not really have insurance. But even for those enrollees paying premiums, having health insurance is not the same thing as getting good health care, or any health care. In fact, it doesn’t matter how many Americans obtain insurance under the ACA. Most will have difficulty finding a physician. Many Americans

A few years ago, the corruption convictions of several prominent plaintiffs´ lawyers put a spotlight on dishonesty in American civil courts. Now the sleaze has burst back into the news with cases involving Chevron and Dole Food Co., this time with an international twist. How do you ensure that you won’t be ostracized, denounced, or fired if you are a media celebrity, captain of industry, or high public official? For some, sexist banter is certainly no problem. Stand-up comedian Bill Maher called Sarah Palin a c–t and a tw-t, but suffered no ill consequences. David Letterman joked on air that Sarah Palin’s 14-year-old daughter had had sex with Alex Rodriguez during a New York Yankees game. There was no downside to that either. President Obama tosses around “sweetie” as he wishes. No problem with that. No one believes Barack could be condescending to women.
