ABC, CBS and NBC Overlook Obama´s
Gaffe-tastic Performance on Leno

Newsbusters, by Geoffrey Dickens

Barack Obama delivered one gaffe after another in his August 6 interview with Jay Leno, but the networks that usually mock every mistake or slip of the tongue made by Republicans ignored the President´s verbal mishaps. ABC´s Good Morning America, CBS´s This Morning and NBC´s Today show, on Wednesday morning, all bypassed the chance to criticize Obama for: downplaying the threat of terrorism; falsely claiming Vladimir Putin once ran the KGB; placing the Atlantic coast cities of Savannah, Charleston and Jacksonville on the Gulf of Mexico; confusing the Winter Olympics with the Summer Olympics. They will always give him a pass, for two reasons. 1. He´s a Democrat. 2. To point out how ignorant he is would make them look stupid, because they promoted him as being so incredibly well educated and, oh, by the way, brilliant. Yep, we have the first affirmative action president. And everybody knows it´s the donkey in the room. (The elephant refused to be in the same room) Besides, the donkey is an arse.

Dear Leader´s mind functions at a level unfathomable to mere mortals.

But not to worry. By so disingenuously protecting this fraud of a president, the pinheads of the MSM have forever condemned themselves to the stye of history´s laughingstocks. That is their fate, and there is no way they can escape it now.

To some, it is a gaffe. To others, an epiphany.

It a lie to think Obama would help these southern port cities anyhow. But you have to be pretty tuned out to not know the difference between the east coast and the Gulf.

I wonder if Putin knows he has to open the swimming pools for the winter olympics or if he would allow gays in his water?

The media was ashamed to say Obama cancelled the trip to Russia over gay mistreatment the other night,so they blamed the cancellation on Snowden.

The ignoring of these gaffes is more telling about the media than it is about Obama. Has there ever been such a cowardly group of sycophants? The emperor truly has no clothes and all the media can do is "ooh and ahh" at his magnificence. Pathetic.

Gosh, for all we know, Obama did this on purpose, just so he could laugh at his syco-journalists. He knows they won´t report on him truthfully. And the dufii who actually hear it themselves, well they just must be flat out wrong.

But.... are we sure that he, in all his magnificence and omnipotence, hasn´t actually decreed these things to have been fundamentally transformed? Maybe he has allowed the Gulf of Mexico to take over the Atlantic...? And really, is it fair for just the winter sports to dominate the Winter Olympics?

But the press actually report these items as gaffes? No, no, no..... he knows they won´t.

One question, however, re: Gulf ports comment. I haven´t found the video.
We want to be above ridicule, so my question is:

Could the 3 Atlantic ports been meant as additional ports ? or qualifiers of Gulf ports which is clearly ignorant. We´ll be vilified if his defenders can claim in any way that obie was only pausing and including
those ports. It appears not in print, but that can be deceiving.

I like to be on rock solid ground before I fire away.

Help needed from someone who saw it.

Obama claimed that Americans went about their business the next day which showed their resilience. When Pres. Bush suggested that we do that same thing, the Press had a hissy fit. It is not only a double standard being used by the MSM, it is NO standard. They are obviously Democrat shills or they would at least report the news accurately. All VP Dan Quayle did was misspell one word and he was forever villified as an incompetent fool. If the Press would zero in on just one of Obama´s gaffes, he would be considered a fool. Remember his speech to the "corpse".

demanded it. Comrade Leno PASSED THE TEST!
He can now replace the other Jay, the lying obfuscating Jay Carney, and comrade Leno will become the next WH Press Secretary. Who better to bring humor and a few punch lines to the White House lying system? Now he can be on a whole bunch of networks who can no longer fire him. As long as he lies,
comrade Leno can keep his next new job.

Obama can name every NBA player and rapper ( and knows the lyrics to their ..you should pardon
the expression..songs ) without
making a single mistake.
The totality of his mistakes on the Olympics , Putin and American geography is really stunning.
Leno is dyslexic , not dumb.
He had to know Obama was making grotesque mistakes and he let it play out .
Leno´s show is the place where Barry goes to showcase his intelligence and sensitivity.
March 2009 :
"I bowled a 129," he told Leno.

"That´s very good, Mr. President," Leno said sarcastically.

But then came the foot-in-mouth moment:
"It´s like the Special Olympics or something," the president said."

Before you all jump too hard on Leno, he was just following Rush´s technique for dealing with fools.

You don´t correct them, deride them, stop them in any way. You just politely step out of the way and let them hang themselves on their own petard. Leno was just letting Obama show the audience what exactly he is, all by himself.

Also, Obama seems single out gay swimmers and gymnasts. What about the other Winter Olympics sports? Does Obama have the same concern for Austrian-speaking athletes?

NOTE TO POSTER # 21: I SORT OF RESENT THE ALLUSION TO "STEPIN FETCHIT" ( MR. Lincoln Theodore Monroe Andrew Perry) He was kind and good guy; The man I knew in Memphis, Tn. was a really nice, and considerate individual; he deserves to be in a league all his own. He was in no way any comparison to Barak Obama.
I saw him in Church each Sunday for a number of years,(St. John´s Catholic Church). His Hollywood alter-ego, was never apparent. Quite the contrary.
For a number of years my Dad and I sold Hostess Fruit Cakes to support the Parish Building Fund, and what ever else the Pastor needed or wanted for the Church. Mr. Perry bought several each year, (one at a time). For the longest time he was about the only colored parishioner, and a regular attendee at Mass. I believe he passed in about 1985, IIRC.

#53, interesting post about the actor and comedian Mr. Perry, known by his stage name,
Stepin Fetchit...

Like many others, I´d always been led to believe that his performances were to be
frowned upon, but then I actually saw him in a film clip and found it hilarious.

The guy was funny and talented.
His bio on Wikipedia recaps his career highlights...
Made 54 films from 1925 to 1976...
Four movies with his comic friend Will Rogers...
One Charlie Chan movie...
One appearance in the Our Gang series...
Hollywood´s first black millionaire eventually...
Hollywood´s first screen credit for a black...
Received a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame...
Died in 1985, nine years after a stroke halted his film career in 1976...

Thanks for mentioning your old friend, as I´ve always liked the guy and of course,
these days, political correctness dictates that his film roles cannot be viewed.
He gets edited out of his pictures now.
But he is worth seeing.

Mickey Rooney, Legendary Actor,
Dies at 93

Mickey Rooney, the pint-sized actor who was one of MGM’s giant box office attractions in the late ’30s and early ’40s, died on Sunday. He was 93. As adept at comedy as drama and an excellent singer and dancer, Rooney was regarded as the consummate entertainer. During a prolific career on stage and screen that spanned eight decades (“I’ve been working all my life, but it seems longer,” he once said), he was nominated for four Academy Awards and received two special Oscars, the Juvenile Award in 1939 (shared with Deanna Durbin) and one in 1983 for his body of work.

Vampires, nudists, snakes: Nobody

Last week, news broke that a congressional candidate in Gainesville had a secret pastime: impersonating vampires. And superheroes. Some people would call this nutty. In Florida, we just call it Tuesday. Seriously, that´s not even our highest-profile vampire story. Remember the "vampire killings" from Lake County? Some of our stories are heartbreakingly tragic. But so many are also mind-numbingly strange. In Florida, we do weird the way Kansas does wheat. Here, giant pet snakes escape. And breed. And then invade our national parks. We have fish that eat people, alligators that eat people and people who eat people.

One of the latest tools targeting the growing problem of texting while driving didn´t come out of Apple, Google or Microsoft. It was the brainchild of two Orlando-area entrepreneurs who recently launched a new mobile app called Txt Shield. The idea behind Txt Shield, which runs on Android phones, is to short-circuit any texting capability when people are cruising down the highway, according to brothers Philip and Geoffrey Stiles, co-founders and partners in Txt Shield LLC. Parents can install it on their teens´ phones; employers can put it on company-issued phones; and individuals can download it to help resist the urge to

President Obama’s Department of Homeland Security caught then released 68,000 aliens who had previously been convicted of a crime, a new report from the Center for Immigration Studies shows. The report, provided to Breitbart News ahead of its late Sunday evening release, reviews internal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) metrics to conclude that the Obama administration released 35 percent—or 68,000—convicted criminal aliens back into the U.S. general population when they could have been deported. (Snip) In response to these findings from CIS that follow up on his office’s report last week, Sessions said immigration law in America has essentially ceased to

San Jose, Calif. — A usually busy DMV office in San Jose was closed Friday after a motorist waiting to take a driver´s test crashed her car into the building and caused a gas leak. The driver declined to give her name but told KTVU she was nervous about taking the driver´s license tests because this would have been her third try. Around noon the line started to move but she said she hit the accelerator instead of the brake and rammed a motorcycle rider in front of her. Then, she said she swerved to try to avoid running over the rider and

Obama on undocumented Irish:

President Obama says the thousands of Irish immigrants in the US are being denied opportunities because of the US strict immigration laws. The President was speaking the traditional Shamrock ceremony at the White House as part of the St Patrick´s Day celebrations. The issue of immigration reform was a priority for the Irish Government delegation, led by Enda Kenny. The delegation has been lobbying in Washington during the St Patrick´s Day trip for reforms to benefit the 50,000 undocumented Irish there. President Obama said too many undocumented Irish were denied the chance to contribute to society as they were not able to pay taxes

These are the 634 runways where the missing Malaysia Airlines plane could have landed after a potential hijacking. Today Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak said investigators believe flight MH370´s disappearance is the result of ´deliberate action´ by someone on the plane. During a dramatic press conference, he said satellite evidence showed the aircraft´s transponder was turned off and it change direction shortly before it vanished. President Barack Obama held a Spanish language town hall at the Newseum last week in which he was interviewed by reporters from some of the largest Spanish media outlets in the world. During the interview, he was asked a question from a man who wanted to buy Obamacare for a family of three but couldn’t afford it. On Fox News last night, Bill O’Reilly struggled with a question he apparently finds confusing: why aren’t major news organizations covering the IRS “scandal” to his satisfaction. Lois Lerner, the former head of the IRS’ tax exempt division, took the Fifth last week, but most of the media seemed indifferent. (Snip) That’s one possible explanation. But in the interest of giving O’Reilly and Goldberg something else to consider, there’s a more plausible, reality-based reason the media has lost interest in this scandal: there is no scandal. As we’ve discussed on more than a few occasions, the story has already been

The past two days have revealed the dangerous ramifications of the narrow-minded foreign policy elite in Washington, and a media establishment that has for so much of President Obama’s tenure accepted the statements of the administration as gospel. (Snip) If this is the sort of foreign policy anticipation that the establishment delivers, it’s little surprise that no one trusts America’s self-styled policy elites any more. They are too used to judging the world according to the patterns toward which they are already biased, as opposed to seeing it as it is.

President Obama has made liberal use of "executive action" throughout his presidency, and pledged to make even more use of executive action in this year´s State of the Union speech. He seems to think that because Republicans don´t want to implement his agenda, he can go around Congress. The Heritage Foundation is out with a new report on President Obama´s executive actions, titled "An Executive Unbound," finding that "abusive, unlawful, even potentially unconstitutional unilateral action has been a hallmark of the Obama Administration." They´ve also compiled a list of the top ten abusive executive actions taken by the President.

For Hillary Clinton, having her own baby grandchild to kiss on the campaign trail, could be one of the biggest boosts to her possible presidential election campaign. Although the former Secretary of State and First Lady has not said if she will run in 2016, the arrival of her first grandchild will soften her image, analysts have said. While Chelsea only revealed her pregnancy on Thursday, supporters of her mother have already started cooing over a possible baby in the White House. With the Clintons having a near-royal status in the U.S., the announcement of a new arrival due this fall has sent

That was quite a victory dance President Obama did Thursday while claiming Obamacare is “working” because eight million people have now supposedly signed up for the health care program. He even indulged in some less-than-subtle mockery of Republicans - and by extension the majority of Americans who have disapproved of Obamacare since before it became law. "The repeal debate is and should be over,” Obama said, taking a dig at Republicans who are “going through, you know, the stages of grief … anger and denial and all that stuff …” But a president who is viewed by most Americans as less

GREENSBORO, Ga. — Golf holes the size of pizzas. Soccer balls on the back nine. A mulligan on every hole. These are some of the measures — some would say gimmicks — that golf courses across the country have experimented with to stop people from quitting the game. Golf has always reveled in its standards and rich tradition. But increasingly a victim of its own image and hidebound ways, golf has lost five million players in the last decade, according to the National Golf Foundation, with 20 percent of the existing 25 million golfers apt to quit in the next few years. People under 35 have especially spurned the game, saying it takes too

In a speech earlier this week, Lisa O. Monaco, President Barack Obama’s assistant for homeland security and counterterrorism, insisted that American parents must be vigilant because their “confrontational” children could be on the verge of becoming terrorists. Monaco’s full, prepared text is available here. She presented the speech, entitled “Countering Violent Extremism and the Power of Community,” at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government on April 15. Monaco began her remarks by eloquently describing the lives tragically lost last year during the Boston Marathon bombings. Interestingly, the Harvard grad failed to mention the religion or the motive of brothers Dzhokhar and Tamerlan

Hi, everybody. For millions of Americans, this time of year holds great meaning. Earlier this week, we hosted a Passover Seder at the White House, and joined Jewish families around the world in their re-tellings of the story of the Exodus and the victory of faith over oppression. And this Sunday, Michelle, Malia, Sasha, and I will join our fellow Christians around the world in celebrating the Resurrection of Christ, the salvation he offered the world, and the hope that comes with the Easter season. These holy days have their roots in miracles that took place long ago. And yet, they still inspire us, guide us, and strengthen us today. They remind us of our

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Thursday that a family of dissident ranchers and their supporters in his home state of Nevada are ´domestic terrorists,´ citing this week´s standoff with the federal government´s Bureau of Land Management. Cliven Bundy has refused to pay grazing fees for land where his hundreds of cattle roam every day. The land is owned by the federal government, which says he owes more than $1 million. Bundy, however, insists that since his family has been using the land since the 1870s, Uncle Sam can´t collect the grazing fees. A tense standoff developed this week after

WASHINGTON--Rushing to an afternoon vote last month, Sen. Ted Cruz hopped the underground tram to the U.S. Capitol from his office across the street. The Texan planted his black ostrich cowboy boots in the middle of the small subway car without getting so much as a nod from the other senators--Republican or Democrat--amiably chatting or huddled in their seats. Mr. Cruz finds himself standing alone a lot these days. His response to the cold shoulders: "The establishment despised Ronald Reagan" before he became president, "but the people loved him." If the Rev. John DeBonville could preach a sermon to lift the souls of churchgoers across America, his message would be simple: Stop dressing so tacky for church. DeBonville has heard about the “come as you are” approach to dressing down for Sunday service, but he says the Sabbath is getting too sloppy. When he scans the pews of churches, DeBonville sees rows of people dressed in their Sunday worst. They saunter into church in baggy shorts, flip-flop sandals, tennis shoes and grubby T-shirts. Some even slide into the pews carrying coffee in plastic foam containers as if they’re going to Starbucks. “It’s like

President Obama asserts that 8 million people have signed up for Obamacare, as though that were something to be proud of. In fact, Obamacare has always been a fiasco from a fiscal perspective–a black hole of subsidies and expanded Medicaid, with largely fictitious mechanisms in place to pay for it. As the number of subsidized participants grows, the disaster gets worse. Charles Blahous explains: Our national discussion…is missing the truly significant story here; what is unfolding before our eyes is a colossal fiscal disaster, poised to haunt legislators and taxpayers for decades to come. It is quite possible that the ACA is

“On the third day, he rose again.” That line, from the Nicene Creed, is a foundational statement of Christian belief. It declares that three days after Jesus died on the cross, he was resurrected, a glimmer of the eternal life promised to believers. It’s the heart of the Easter story in seven little words. But how that statement is interpreted is the source of some of the deepest rifts in Christianity — and a stumbling block for some Christians, and more than a few skeptics. Did Jesus literally come back from the dead in a bodily resurrection, as many traditionalist
