Bloomberg Pushing Stair Use in NYC
Multi-Story Low-Income Housing Units

Cybercast News Service, by Penny Starr

Original Article

As part of his ongoing campaign to transform New York City into what he calls “Fit City,” Mayor Michael Bloomberg is promoting “active design” for low-income housing developments being built there, including plans to prompt residents to use the stairs and rooftop gardens for growing “healthy” foods. In 2010, the Bloomberg Administration and other public and private sector groups issued the “Active Design Guidelines,” which promotes car-free neighborhoods, encourages “physical movement” inside buildings and “improves access to nutritious food.” The Center for Action Design was launched next as a resource for architects and developers

How about making him climb the stairs to his residence to see how it feels?? What a Marxist idiot he is. That will be fun dragging bags of groceries up the stairs. s/o Hitler must be smiling with glee right now.

So, walk up 3 flights of stairs and then recover with a bag of chips and a bottle of soda. Sounds like a healthy lifestyle to me.
This man and rest of the, excuse me, left-wing loons are mentally challenged when it comes to
other´s health situations. in the meantime, many of the employee´s in HIS organization sit at computer terminals 8-12 hours or more a day.

Here`s an idea. Pass legislation having age restricted floors in highrise buildings. All people over a certain age live on the lower floors so they don`t have to walk up as far. The younger live at the top. When they get old, the `really old` are kicked out and go live in assisted living facilities until they die, then the youngsters, who are now old, will be mandated to move downstairs. Repeat cycle as required.

I´m guessing the stairways in public housing units are scary territories. The elevators probably are not much better though.

The utopian dream of the anointed. Worker drones will live in stacked warehouses with government approved TV, movies, "healthy" food rations, and ,of course, mandatory exercise.
Ideally, this housing should adjoin the workplace. If not, shuttle service will be provided. Any and all additional travel must be approved and travel papers issued.

Busybuddy Michael Bloomberg was keeping his fleet of SUV´s running with the a/c so he could keep cool when he came and went to various events. Meanwhile he was telling everyone including people in retirement homes that they did not need to use the A/C....

After he was criticized he had a portable a/c unit on a dolly roll up to his SUV windows to keep it cool. e said that he was using the building power so he was polluting anymore with his UV running.....

On weekends he flies off to a home in the Bahamas...

How do you ensure that you won’t be ostracized, denounced, or fired if you are a media celebrity, captain of industry, or high public official? For some, sexist banter is certainly no problem. Stand-up comedian Bill Maher called Sarah Palin a c–t and a tw-t, but suffered no ill consequences. David Letterman joked on air that Sarah Palin’s 14-year-old daughter had had sex with Alex Rodriguez during a New York Yankees game. There was no downside to that either. President Obama tosses around “sweetie” as he wishes. No problem with that. No one believes Barack could be condescending to women.

Many people suspect that the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) instigated an over the top paramilitary confrontation with Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy at the behest of Senator Harry Reid especially since the new BLM director, Neil Kornze, was an aide to Reid. So how does Harry´s son, Rory Reid, thank the BLM rangers for putting their lives at risk over desert tortoises that are being euthanized by the Feds? Although the Civil Rights Act, the landmark legislation which just reached its 50th anniversary, made great strides in desegregating the economy, economic discrimination is still widespread, and anti-discrimination legislation alone can never rectify the economic damage inflicted upon blacks by slavery and our Jim Crow apartheid regime. The Civil Rights Act was a mild reform, all things considered, but one conservatives fought with vigor and one many conservatives are still bitter about to this day. When the Civil Rights Act passed in 1964, the primary purpose was to root out discrimination in public accommodations (like hotels and movie theaters)
