Al-Qaida Plot Distraction Is
Too Well-Timed For Obama

Investor´s Business Daily, by Editorial

War On Terror: The way the White House has hyped a supposedly imminent al-Qaida plot, only one thing has to happen for President Obama to come off as a hero: nothing. It smells fishy. It´s not at the level of Robert De Niro and Dustin Hoffman cinematically fabricating a war with Albania to get the public´s mind off a presidential sex scandal, as in David Mamet´s 1997 black comedy "Wag the Dog," but the indefinite shutdown of 20 U.S. embassies in the Mideast and Africa after the announcement of a for-sure, impending terrorist mega-attack looks suspiciously gift-wrapped and well-timed

Rush was all over this yesterday. He was right.

The White House ... "Phony scandals... hey look over here...al Qaeda is gonna attack...we are sure of it."

Then why was the special unit of our military sent back to base?

Want to bet they have had this information for a long time and decided to dust it off and bring it out just as Benghazi is heating up? What a coincidence!

Trayvon is old news and those demoncrat sex scandals just aren´t enough of a distraction.

If these attacks were so eminent, why did zippy spend Saturday on the golf course while his security team met at the White House and why did he then fly off for a boys only sleepover at Camp David?

Rather amazing that the islamoterrorists´ most awesome, devastating, strategic attack plans were utterly and completely foiled by...shutting down the embassies?!

Dang. This is so brilliant, I suggest we totally shut down ALL US government offices and thereby permanently prevent an attack on our homeland.

The tail on Obama´s dog is firmly tucked between the hind legs as the US retreats from 20 embassies at the slightest hint of a terror attack, real or made up. If we can´t protect and defend our citizens and sovereign soil in a foreign country, what are we doing there? Obama should be impeached. Period.

Unfortunately, Obama has been so over the top partisan, progressive and deceptive to say the least. He does not have our trust anymore. Second point: Closing our embassies over seas really leaves our citizens in those countries hanging. You need to spend some time over seas to understand how much our citizens rely on the embassy. The folks left in these 20 some odd countries are now feeling abandoned by their country. They have been.

I would be interested in knowing if anyone saw the Saxby Chambliss clip when he used the word "chatter," then stopped to define it for the audience. He must have just found out the definition and wanted to share it with his rube viewers. How patronizing.

Hillary Clinton today praised a 19-year-old woman who broke down crying at an event today as she revealed that she is an undocumented immigrant. The former first lady, secretary of state and potential 2016 presidential candidate encountered the passionate young woman while taking questions at a “Girls: A No Ceilings Conversation” event at the Lower East Side Girl’s Club in Manhattan, “I have a very different glass ceiling than some of the girls are exhibiting here. The ´War on Women´ Failed in 2012
Wall Street Journal, by Michael Medved    Original Article

President Obama is suddenly upset about the alleged wage gap between men and women, but he´s not responding to a national economic crisis. Instead, he is attempting to revive the "war on women" theme that, according to Washington wisdom, helped carry Democrats to victory in 2012 and might do again in 2014. If this narrative were true, the White House could spend the year demonizing Republicans as women-hating creeps, driving women to the polls in November and helping the party hold the Senate. But the conventional analysis isn´t accurate. National exit polls from 2012 show scant success for the war-on-women

Regulation: In a victory for common sense, a federal judge has voided a race-based mandate of the Dodd-Frank Act that would have cost manufacturers and retailers billions in compliance expenses. Marking the first time a court has ruled that a provision of Dodd-Frank violates the Constitution, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit held that the financial "reform" law´s bizarre rule requiring companies to disclose whether their products contain "conflict minerals" from Africa violates the First Amendment. As we´ve argued, the rule had zero to do with financial reform and was sneaked into the law by Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters

Anyone wondering why the U.S. economy can´t seem to grow at its usual pace should examine one product category where production is booming: federal regulation. Washington set a new record in 2013 by issuing final rules consuming 26,417 pages in the Federal Register. While plenty of government employees deserve credit for this milestone, leadership matters. And by this measure President Obama has never been surpassed in the Oval Office. The latest rule-making tally comes from the Competitive Enterprise Institute´s Wayne Crews, who on April 29 will publish his annual review of federal regulation in

Fiscal Policy: Remember President Obama´s vow that, if re-elected, he´d pursue "balanced" deficit reduction? Either he forgot, or he hopes voters have, because a new report shows his latest budget is entirely unbalanced. When Obama released his budget this March, he said it included "smart spending cuts" and closed "tax loopholes" that benefit only "the wealthiest Americans." Obama added that his budget would put "our debt on a downward path as a share of our total economy, which independent experts have set as a critical target for fiscal responsibility." As with just about everything Obama says, none of these claims turns out be

They show that former Internal Revenue Service official Lois Lerner discussed with the Justice Department going after conservative groups that she believed lied about their political activities. When it comes to tracking the cost of Obama family vacations, there are two primary challenges. First, the Obamas are prolific jet-setters, so there are many details to track. Second, the Obama administration, clearly embarrassed by these lavish and frequent family vacations, stonewalls the release of records at every turn. But we have been relentless in pursuit of this information. Our attorneys file the lawsuits and make our case, and our investigators pour through pages of records and crunch the numbers. And the information we’ve uncovered – information that would otherwise remain under lock and key – shows that the

Toddlers show racial bias when picking playmates, a study reveals. They also take account of how fairly others behave. Researchers tested the reaction of white 15-month-olds as toys were distributed. Two white adults divided the toys, one equally and the other unequally. Seventy per cent of the toddlers chose to play with the researcher who distributed the toys fairly. But in a second test, when one researcher favoured a white recipient over an Asian one, they picked the ‘fair’ researcher less often, the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports. And the babies are more likely to help those who share the same ethnicity, which is known as

How do you ensure that you won’t be ostracized, denounced, or fired if you are a media celebrity, captain of industry, or high public official? For some, sexist banter is certainly no problem. Stand-up comedian Bill Maher called Sarah Palin a c–t and a tw-t, but suffered no ill consequences. David Letterman joked on air that Sarah Palin’s 14-year-old daughter had had sex with Alex Rodriguez during a New York Yankees game. There was no downside to that either.
