The Rise of Al-Qaeda and Why the
Administration Lied about Benghazi

PJ Media, by Roger L. Simon

Original Article

Posted By:StormCnter, 8/5/2013 4:55:13 AM

For nearly a year, we have had no answer to why the administration lied about Benghazi — why it told the world, not to mention the parents of our murdered SEALs at the funeral of their sons, that the cause of that fatal conflagration was an anti-Islamic video no one saw, when the various arms of our executive branch (White House, State and intelligence) already knew, or strongly suspected, it was a terror attack orchestrated by al-Qaeda affiliates. You only have to read the now infamous talking points to know that. That this lie was deeply immoral is obvious.

My nomination for today´s Must Read.

Democrat "progressives" in bed with Islamists - the dots have been there to connect, in plain sight, since September 12, 2001.

No wonder the Benghazi cover-up has been so virulent and intense.

And they called Michelle Bachmann crazy for wanting to look more closely into Huma Abedin´s background and allegiances. (And John "can´t you please just go away" McCain let them).

When all you can do is dwell on the wrong this country has done while ignoring the tremendous amount of good done through the loss of American blood, sweat, and tears, you are ripe to throw in with any anti-American philosophy that comes down the pike. The pairing of progressive thinking and Islam may seen strange because they are at odds culturally but they are in perfect sync in their hatred of the United States. The tie that binds them together is their complete rejection and hatred of Christianity. This country has been a beacon of Christian values to the world which is in direct opposition to godless progressives and radical Muslims. They have joined forces to try and eradicate Christianity. Obama stands with one foot in each camp.

I know of no greater imperialist president than Obama. He helped overthrow Egypt, Libya and now he is working on Syria.

Not certain I agree with the following in full:

Obama is a postmodern agnostic par excellence.

I can go along with that part.

But like so many schooled in post-modernism and cultural relativism, he has an immediate and intense enmity for anything that smacks of imperialism...

...Obama doesn´t think that Islam is a theological "imperialism"? Where Mullahs control the population by threat of the sword for breaking the tiniest law of Sharia, that´s not "imperialism"?

— and an equally intense desire to be seen as supportive of (although certainly not to live like) the downtrodden of the Earth.

The only dimwits who see Obama as supportive of "the downtrodden" are those trodden down by his policies and limousine liberals who, as someone astutely noted, would turn conservative overnight if mugged.

Why I do think Simon´s analysis is good, it´s flawed. Obama IS a Muslim. If not in practice, then certainly in his sympathies. That comes from his own mouth when he said that "I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction."

What is an "ugly direction" other than "against Muslims"? He said it. I believe him. This is where Simon is right -- his sympathies lie with Islam. He bows to Islamic leaders, dresses in Muslim garb, speaks fluent Arabic, worships Muslim holidays while eschewing Christian ones...

What is one supposed to think?

That said, I do agree that he is so fluid in his alleged core that he may as well be a postmodern agnostic. His religion extends to his Self and that is all he believes in.

Let me get this straight. How does Obama´s progressive agenda get advanced by throwing in with a bunch of stone killers out of the 12th century that recognize no country, are mysigynists and homophobes, and worship death ?
If he´s not a muslim, he has his own death wish. This makes no sense unless his narcicisim is so profound that he is totally separated from reality.

Our Dear leader is a post modern agnostic on a train to anti imperialism, and if we are able to talk to the Benghazi survivors they can confirm this. Confirm what, that the train can´t stop to save 4 American individuals?

Obama would agree with Erdogan on democracy and the train. Democracy is like a train - you ride it to where you are going and then get off.

I don´t know in what ways Simon thinks 0bama is NOT (to repeat his emphasis) a Muslim. As far as impact on and damage to American and Western interests he is quite indistinguishable. In fact the facade of faux Christianity from the likes of the Rev. Wright makes it worse.

#7 – The progressive agenda is simply one more thing to both hide behind and use as a tool. The Obamboozler is the Trojan Horse we feared him to be before he was elected the first time. The United States has traditionally been a very generous country able to feed the world and the first to help when needed to save lives and fix things. We have alway promoted liberty and freedom. There was no need for any so-called "Fundamental Change" which has only turned out to be everything that is contrary to traditional American beliefs. It is no secret that we have been on a downhill slide since his first election and have continued to do so without any sign of slowing down. Everything he has done somehow turns out to be a … “mistake” that winds up weakening us. It is also no secret that he and his administration helped usher in and support the muslim brotherhood by riding the "democracy" train...and then it wrecked in Egypt. Now he´s trying to get it back on the track without being seen for what he is! While Leftists recklessly and irresponsibly throw the name "Hitler" around at Conservatives for effect (they´re really good at projection), the muslim brotherhood actually reveres Hitler. Their leaders are disciples of the Grand Mufti and Hitler. They were Hitler´s allies in the Middle East and Africa. These are not good people and are the worst Imperialists of all being cultural Imperialists attempting to form an empire of superiority through a master religion and practices of dominance involving the extension of authority and control of all others. Benghazi is only one of many dots that can be connected, but it may well be the most important one.

Whether Zero is a practicing Muslim or not, I do not know. But, no question, he is connected to their plight because of the anti-WEST/anti-American belief system they share. Raised by Muslims in Indonesia and America hating whites in Hawaii, Zero sympathizes with radical Islam´s racist jihad. Zero, and a whole lot of black Americans, can relate, if you know what I mean.

Interesting that Obama, the most imperialistic of our presidents – see his czars, executive orders, and selective law enforcement—is actually rabidly anti-imperialistic.

So to him imperialism is a train that you take to get to where you want to go, and then get off?

The communist regimes had a problem with the getting off part.

This my friends is it in a nutshell. The man has no morals, no core values that reflect most decent Americans. The fact that the half skin color has overshadowed the content of his character is why we are in this mess.
Also, the media and liberals can´t see it for anything, or they would have to admit they made a huge mistake.

I will never believe that the deaths of these faithful Americans means as much to obama as his image means to him. America means little to him other than to glorify his image and provide the life style he believes he deserves. (not earned just deserved). The mirror that the press holds up for him shows no flaws. Those body bags were a terrible inconvenience.

The phrase in his book--written by Bill Ayres--that states with whom he will stand when ill winds blow------says it all. His stance is with the Muslim Brotherhood in connection with the Saudis who contributed One Billion to Morsi while he was in power.

Long, long before the massacre articles were written about obama´s support for the rebels (jihadist) and supplying them with weapons. He called Morsi immediately to congratulate him, but when the Egyptian people, by way of a coup, removed Morsi-----all one hears are crickets. Who is pulling his strings in the WH--the ones he bowed down to on his Far East trip------right out of the ballot box.

Actions speak louder than words and obama´s actions support the Brotherhood (jihadists). Is this ´payback´ for his education at Harvard, etc?

That part about not being Muslim is hard to digest, as others above so succinctly point out. Where there is smoke there is fire and there is lots and lots of smoke coming out of the White House. The statement that he is not a Muslim is akin to the statement/assessment(especially by some RINOS) that the DOJ and Obama just don´t get it regarding the threat of terrorism. Oh sure, there is much much more to it than that. Taquiyah is the underlying foundation to their "perspective".

Well, maybe he´s not a Muslim but...

His father was Muslim
His stepfather was Muslim
He attended a Madrasa
His faith was listed as Muslim on school papers
As an adult he changed his name back to a Muslim one
He was chummy with the Nation of Islam
His college roommates were Muslim
He has an obvious affinity for the Muslim Brotherhood
He doesn´t celebrate Christian Holidays in a traditional way
Etc...

How Simon can be so certain he´s not still a Muslim escapes me. I guess he doesn´t want to be labeled the equivalent of a Birther. Simon´s assessment seems simplistic to me. We still have much more to learn about Benghazi. It goes deeper than Obama. However, the fact that he was looking at his own Iran Contra could have played a part.

Brilliant article.
I think debating whether Obama is or is not ´officially´ a Muslim is picking the fly poo out of the pepper.
In a practical sense, it doesn´t really matter.

#7, "This makes no sense unless his narcicisim is so profound that he is totally separated from reality."
Yes...his narcissism IS that profound.
Plus, he´s just not very bright. He can´t see past the end of his upturned nose.

Obama´s childhood was spent in Muslim schools so it is hard for me to imagine that he is not a muslim. His speech and actions show that he is not a Christian. What blows my mind is how such an uneducated, un-american, lying, corrupt, divisive, partisan bigot ever got elected. The Benghazi affair and cover-up should be his demise.

This is a precise article, read it then read it again.
I disagree with one poster, Obama is not a muslim he is exactly what Simon said he is agnostic.
Obama will take the path of least resistance and at this time the Muslim Brotherhood fits his order. Obama is lazy and a sneaky user of people be them evil or the most evil. See how easy he disposed and claimed the killing of Bin Laden. One curious thing about Bin Laden was he was slipping from the ranks of the more aggressive on the terrorist list. He was trying to revive his heyday and in almost poverty. His time had passed. The ranks of Al Qaeda had refilled and Obama stupidly sang a different tune. Now his chickens are coming home to roost. Benghazi was a misstep that Obama thought the Brotherhood/terrorist would play with him and not against him. Message to Obama, the Muslim Brotherhood and Al-Qaeda hate you too along with all of us. You don´t stick your hand in a barrel of vipers and expect nothing to happen.

The most important observation here: that Obama is a postmodern agnostic. I would say a postmodern ´humanist´, but that´s pretty much the same thing. That is the key to his nature; he´s a contemporary college professor without the publications and the son of a hippie. The racial stuff is all a sideshow. You throw a ball into any faculty club and it will bounce off dozens of people like Obama.

Maybe hatred of the west but not imperialism (unless that word is just being used as a euphemism for the west). Dictionary.com defines imperialism: the policy of extending the rule or authority of an empire or nation over foreign countries, or of acquiring and holding colonies and dependencies. The west´s days of imperialistic behavior are long gone, nobody´s conquering anybody and the colonies are mostly independent nations now. And if you hate imperialism you can´t let Islam off the hook. The only part of the definition that doesn´t fit them is the part about being a nation. They seek to establish a world wide Caliphate and impose sharia which is the Islamic form of government on the entire world. How much more imperialistic can you get.

I think Obama loves and admires Islam and Islamists. I think he was buddy buddy with Morsi and they cooked up that fake attack in Benghazi (two sides confronting each other and firing into the air). We were in Benghazi to run guns to Syria . . . no big whoop, everyone knew that. Stevens was in Benghazi to be captured (though he wasn´t aware of that) and traded for the Blind Sheik (something Morsi wanted and for which previous hostage swaps had been attempted but foiled). That´s the only offense so wrong (should it become apparent to the American people) that it would cook both Obama´s and Hillary´s gooses and so warranted such an extensive and ongoing cover up.

I wouldn´t give Obama the credit of being an agnostic. That would require that he has put intellectual effort into reflection and soul searching, and we know that he´s intellectually lazy and uncurious.

My diagnosis is that he´s a lazy sociopath who likes boys, nicotine, pot, praise and pampering. There´s nothing in him that´s admirable, and his willingness to serve harm and suffering on others without any hint of remorse is dispositive.

All these words about what Obama is, what he isn´t, what he represents, what he hates (USA), etc. etc. etc.

It really doesn´t matter if he´s a devout Muslim or an agnostic, or somewhere in between. The bigger and far important issue is what he is doing to America RIGHT NOW, and what he has already done. And the biggest point is, ´What are you going to do about it?´ Stand there and take it? What will America look like with another 3 years of this saboteur Obama?

If I understand Simon, he is saying that Obama wants to run guns to Al-Qaeda because he is attracted to anti-Western radicals; and the cover-up is to keep this a secret.

But the administration´s support for the Syrian rebels is hardly a secret; it´s official policy for just about everybody except Russia, isn´t it? I just can´t see that gun-running to those guys would be treated as a scandal.

Robert Simon writes with intellect and humor, and loves dodging around with a fusion of words and asides. Make a simple issue, he himself states that is simple. PJMedia´s Simon, says, "No, Obama´s not a muslim", but Simon leaves us hanging. Whereas the amazing scholar of Islamic supremacism, Robert Spencer, says, "No, he´s not a Muslim, he doesn´t have to be, he ACTS like one!". Simon also says he’s not a Christian. Pronounces him an agnostic who hates imperialism and feigns interest in the downtrodden while living luxuriously. Sound familiar? Communism maybe? ! The artful Dennis Praeger asks, what is the largest religion?, and answers that protestants, jews, catholics, agnostics, bhudists, hindus and muslims all make up the largest religious ideology, Communism. Roger brilliantly closes with his answer, that Obama and Islamic jihad supremacists share their overwhelming hatred for almost all things imperialist: country, order, the world. They are equally hateful of life. Logical to add that Obama is the most raging, vindictive, hating, hateful, hate filled person ever elected to public office. Communism is his religion of mal choice. Simon, heroic author of, “TURNING RIGHT AT HOLLYWOOD AND VINE – The Perils of Coming Out Conservative In Tinseltown”, leads us in the right direction !

I agree with 29.

When he was a child, Obama was told that his paternal grandfather was tortured by the English in Kenya. This has turned out to be a lie. No matter, he believes it.

When the great powers of Europe were making colonies of helpless Africans and lording it over the Chinese. America stood aside and did not participate (except for certain Americans who were in the opium trade in China) Our forebearance wins us no points with Obama. We are white, we are western, and we once had slavery. We must be punished. Obama will not permit us to interfere with the restoration of the Caliphate.

I find it a bit curious - - that in the first 79 mostly well-thought-out responses to this thread from very intelligent posters - - no one has typed the word "Huma."

Everyone knows that the restoration of the caliphate is Zippy´s long-term goal - - and certainly is the goal of Huma - - but no one has commented on that connection.

Her marriage to Weiner - - protegé of the despicable-yet-very-influential Schumer - - was arranged to get Huma control of the NYC anti-terrorist operation - - and to destroy it. Mrs. Master B. Clinton is so power-obsessed that she´s an easy tool for the muslim faction to control and to manipulate.

The bottom line: Keep your on on Huma - - she´s the U.S. fulcrum in the muslim plan to reestablish the caliphate.

Agree with #35...

Some of the posters here appear to be more astute than the writer.

The reality is...
O-Bomber is a nutcase, a fruitcake...
He is an habitual liar, and far more malicious than Billyboobboob Klintoon...
Klintoon lied in a bragadocious way, but was not anti-American... he told whoppers.

O-Bomber is a sick, vile, misguided, fear-mongering, hate-mongering colostomy bag of
utter nothingness... there is NO MERIT to anything O-Bomber tries to foist upon us.

O-Bomber is un-American, a foreign impostor who is simply weird and very very sick.

He also is a supreme egotist.
His religion is the Eternal Worship of O-Bomber... nothing else is real to him.

He feels he is the answer to George Washington and Abraham Lincoln and even the
DimWit Potty founder, Thomas Jefferson, a slave-owner and alleged slave sexter.

Those "evil dirty white guys" have finally gotten their comeuppance for the effrontery
of their white supremacist nation and its world domination through its treachery.

O-Bomber is a Spiritual Entity more akin to Jesus than to an ordinary politician.
People faint in O-Bomber´s presence, his aura is so overwhelming and overpowering.

We are paying all the costs of O-Bomber´s nonstop worldwide Ego Trip.
The tab is in the trillions so far...
And we may not survive longer as a nation.
O-Bomber´s bringing down our house of credit cards economy.

He deliberately wants us to go to Hell in a Handbasket. We all are guilty and deserve Hell.

O-Bomber GAWD told us so.

Why the secrecy of where Obama was and what he was doing that night? Could it be he was on the phone with the terrorists, coordinating the attack? Capturing our diplomat and then getting him freed right before the election would have won him the election for sure. Is that why all the Marines were supposed to stand down? So he could be captured quickly. Why did the terrorists take him to hospital if they were trying to kill him and the others? Remember, he was in hiding and they didn´t know where he was. Those terrorist are his buddies. No wonder none has been captured or killed.

In his book Dreams from my Father, Obama quoted Reverend Wright as saying in a sermon:

"It´s this world, where cruise ships throw away more food in a day than most residents of Port-au-Prince see in a year, where White folks´ greed runs a world in need."

Obama is the man dedicated to destroying this nation and punishing “White folks” for their ‘greed.’

And there appear to be too few people, within or outside Congress, with the courage to stop him.

Duck, cover,…..and pray.

Obama is an agnostic or atheist who has claimed to be Christian but whose sympathies lie with radical islamists. Drone attacks are a diversion to mislead from the fact that he has been helping radical islamists achieve power in Libya, Egypt and Syria.

If people had connected the dots as to the extent he has been helping the sworn enemies of this nation, he likely would not have been elected. Hopefully, when it all come out, he will not merely be removed from office, but tried for high treason, not just against the US but against liberty itself.

A couple of things. In re #20, all you have to do is google, "Obama says he is a Muslim" for a very interesting quote during the 2008 campaign. Not sure how Simon missed this. Secondly, keep in mind how Europe drank the cool aid, too, as Hitler wooe´d the German citizenry to follow his way. They sure got their little utopia (albeit, very short-lived), no?

Anyone remember who destroyed that little utopia? Answer, my father, your father, any American or allied soldier who WILLINGLY went to Europe in the 1940s in WWII to kick Hitler´s behind off the planet.

The last line in #37´s post struck a chord with me. ´He deliberately wants us to go to Hell in a Handbasket. We all are guilty and deserve Hell.´

That theory is on the nose and remarkably like the religious cult that Obama claims isn´t his.

#48, thanks for the kind mention...

As other posters have noted here, O-Bomber is really channeling and carrying out
the nutcase agenda of Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

The MSM is to blame for ignoring and avoiding Rev. Wright during the 2008 campaign.
Senator Johnny McLameBrain was totally derelict in not advertising all Fall 2008
based on Rev. Wright´s audio recordings, which should have turned that election.

O-Bomber views now as Payback Time to "get even" for centuries of American wrongdoing.

Reagan identified the USSR as "The Evil Empire." Dubya Bush cited "The Axis of Evil"
as three nations - NorK, Iran, Iraq.

Traditional America is the Evil Empire to O-Bomber, strangling poor people worldwide.
All of us must be punished and must suffer. The O-Bomber GAWD is anointed to do this.

Woe unto us guilty (whites) as we endure our deserved Living Hell at "HIS" hands.

What would a Mitch

It’s no secret that Senate Majority Leader Harry M. Reid (D-Nev.) and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) don’t like one another. They battle regularly over legislation and their Senate floor fights over arcane-but-important rules have become must-see entertainment for senatorial insiders. According to aides in both parties, the two leaders have not had a one-on-one sitdown to discuss legislation (or anything else) since late last year. Nowadays, all business is conducted on the phone or in brief discussions on the Senate floor. Part of that feud is political – Democrats targeted McConnell in 2008, Republicans targeted Reid in 2010, Democrats

Jews have reportedly been told to ´register´ with pro-Russian forces in the east Ukrainian city of Donetsk. They were also told they would need to provide a list of property they own as well as being ordered to pay a fee or face the threat of deportation. U.S. officials in Washington say leaflets bearing the chilling order have recently appeared in the city amid pro and anti-Russian protests as tensions rise in the area. It comes after Jews leaving a synagogue in the city of Donetsk were reportedly told they had to ´register´ with Ukranians trying to make the city part of Russia.United

In his column earlier this week, the Wall Street Journal’s Bret Stephens laid out his case against Rand Paul becoming the GOP’s presidential nominee. It was a powerful indictment and perhaps one worth building on. Mr. Stephens highlighted what he believes would be some of the obstacles facing Senator Paul, beginning with his long political association with Jack Hunter, alias the “Southern Avenger,” who among other things wrote an April 13, 2004 column titled “John Wilkes Booth Was Right.” The “Southern Avenger” said this: Although Lincoln’s assassin, John Wilkes Booth’s heart was in the right place, the Southern Avenger

At any one time hundreds of thousands of us are cocooned in pressurised cabins scything through the cold upper reaches of the troposphere. Soon enough, this figure will rise to a million: a million passengers, flown safely, if not always comfortably, across countries and continents, and with little call for comment. Before engines could lift heavier-than-air machines convincingly off the ground, any attempt at flight had been dangerous, and yet for hundreds of years, adventurers strapped wings to their arms, and leapt off hilltops and towers in the vain hope of flying. Even when a part of the science of flight

Second, the Obama administration, clearly embarrassed by these lavish and frequent family vacations, stonewalls the release of records at every turn. Climate change’s latest casualty appears to be fish — or more specifically, fish brains — as researchers say the carbon dioxide that’s being absorbed into the ocean is causing the scaly creatures to lose their survival instincts. In other words, the fish are losing their minds, The Daily Mail reported. The acid from atmospheric carbon dioxide seeps into sea waters, dissolves and ultimately lowers the pH balance, researchers said. The acidic waters then hamper the fishes’ sensory systems, so they’re not able to distinguish between smells any longer, the scientists went on. When the acid levels get really high, the fish lose their
