What should be next to
Trayvon Martin´s hoodie
in the Smithsonian?

American Thinker, by Thomas Lifson

Original Article

I have a suggestion. How about an exhibit on Tawana Brawley? If the purpose of the new National Museum of African American History and Culture at the Smithsonian is to remember racial controversies, as the proposed Trayvon exhibit seems to confirm, then how about an honest look at the phenomenon of hate crime hoaxes? Particular attention should be paid to the role of the media in both the Trayvon and Tawana materials. Unquestionably, the media stirred up racial animus, and these incidents both contributed to raising racial tensions.

Tawana Brawley is an excellent idea.
Or perhaps a write up about the Duke LaCrosse team or maybe a picture of the Black Panther wielding a baseball bat outside the voting precinct.

None of you have the proper perspective on this...

At all Bass Pro Shops, they have a rifle range where you can shoot at various animals with a laser rifle. The African American museum could charge a quarter for 5 shots and see who can hit the hole that Zimmerman´s bullet made. If you hit the hole, a voice says "you got me" and you receive a card that says "I shot Trayvon at the National Museum of African American History and Culture".

For more than 160 years, Henry David Thoreau´s essay on Civil Disobedience has inspired Americans to "make known what kind of government would command his respect" so that we could live under that government in good conscience. Ultimately, in a free society, that´s all we have that is truly our own; our conscience. Following its dictates, says Thoreau, is the only rational way to live your life and be true to oneself. It had been years since I read Civil Disobedience and I was surpised by how Cliven Bundy´s words echoed many of the theses in the essay. Legal experts overwhelmingly agree

Two white adults divided the toys, one equally and the other unequally. Seventy per cent of the toddlers chose to play with the researcher who distributed the toys fairly. But in a second test, when one researcher favoured a white recipient over an Asian one, they picked the ‘fair’ researcher less often, the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports. How do you ensure that you won’t be ostracized, denounced, or fired if you are a media celebrity, captain of industry, or high public official? For some, sexist banter is certainly no problem. Stand-up comedian Bill Maher called Sarah Palin a c–t and a tw-t, but suffered no ill consequences. David Letterman joked on air that Sarah Palin’s 14-year-old daughter had had sex with Alex Rodriguez during a New York Yankees game. There was no downside to that either.
