World War III?
American Thinker, by Fay Voshell

Original Article

Posted By:DW626, 8/4/2013 6:17:57 AM

Bill Kristol, editor of The Weekly Standard and regular commentator at Fox news, has said the closing of U.S. embassies in 21 countries is a sign of weakness on the part of the U.S. and suggests capitulation to al-Qaeda. He may be partly right, but chances are that the closing of the embassies auger something far more ominous. The shutdowns may be a sign of an increased conflagration in the Middle East and Northern Africa. We may be looking at the onset of World War III.

I dunno, it seems to me that the 1945-1989 Cold War would have to be counted as WWIII. What we are dealing with now, with the Muslim threat, is WWIV.

Seems to me WW III started on 2/26/93 with the bombing of the World Trade Center north tower. But we ignored it. We were attacked again on 9-11 and we seem to have forgotten that as well as evidenced by all the cuts to our military. Perhaps we will realize we are war with billions of radical Islamists with the next large destructive attack but I doubt it. The Democrats, msm, liberals, progressives and the communists in this country have more in common with radical Islam than the Tea Party. To them when we are attacked it is our fault.

WWIII ONLY if it is needed by obama and the dems, NOT for the protection of the USA, its people or its interests. Maybe for the further advances of the muslim brotherhood and al qaeda, the entities we seem to be supporting.

I think #3 is onto something. This administration, if they are successful, will start WWIII and expect us to fight on the side of the M. Brotherhood. Sounds unbelievable doesn´t it, yet listen to the "tone" coming from this administration.

Mrs. Cass Sunstein, Samantha Power, is now in place to begin to whine and demand that we intervene in Syria, another scheme to involve us in a prelude to WWIII. She with blood on her hands cannot wait to immerse us in more bloody conflicts.

WWIII in the present is taking an unusual form.

As the Saudis have just discovered, once we have energy independence for ourselves we have no interest in their security ~ so, how close are we to energy independence?

Fracking is bringing in the oil all over the place ~ vast quantities of it, but more so, it´s bringing in a series of hydrocarbon liquids we´ve only before encountered as incidental liquids or gases.

There are degrees of energy independence ~ we don´t need full independence to just cut those guys loose to kill each other.

So, when does it arrive, or has it already arrived?

That "Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu... could have already made the decision to strike Iran´s nuclear facilities is a real possibility, but Voshell´s supposition that Netanyahu may have already informed Obama what Israel intends to do and when and where is demonstrably false. Netanyahu knows that, were he foolish enough to warn Obama about a preemptive strike on Iran, the very next day´s front page of NYT would be spouting full details of Israel´s battle plans.

A nation that endeavored to serve its people, bring peace, liberty and justice for all as one nation under God for which there was NO NEED for any so-called “fundamental transformation”. Winston Churchill said, “The farther back you can look, the farther forward you are likely to see.”

I sent this article to a Chinese student I tutored in World History as an example of that quote. If I was teaching, I´d save this article to use in class.

Also, students of Biblical Eschatology will recognize the significance of a Russian-Iranian hegemony. If events begin to fall that way, and you are offended by Bible quoting posters... be prepared to gag and magag.

Closing your embassies is a sign of impending war,as Voshell indicates. But Clinton/obama see these signs as only tools with which to fool the people in the cheap seats.

That is if he can escape being labeled the most inept president in history or just plain ignorant (he probably will escape those labels since, judging from the amount of effort it required to achieve them, these seem to be intended consequences, not unintended).

A major concern of progressives is their supposed interest in the fate of the poor. They purport to be the champions of the poor. But the truth is that they need the poor more than the poor need them, in a symbiotic relationship. As much as 75% of the money allocated to the poor is consumed by the vast bureaucracies that administer this aid. These agencies are actually job programs for college graduates who would often find it difficult to find employment in the private sector. The clumsiness and incoherence, if not madness, of this administration’s foreign policies are creating havoc around the world. Early on in the Genesis chapter of the Bible much is made of Adam giving names to all living creatures. Like everything about the Bible, the meaning of this event is subject to many interpretations, the most often given is that it signals man’s dominion over the other creatures of the earth. I don’t dispute that reading, but to me, the naming description signifies that there can be no real communication among people unless the names we use mean the same thing to all of us. A spade certainly is a garden implement, but if you are in the gardening

The “I’m shocked, shocked” line from Casablanca is too much a cliché to carry any -- umm -- shock value, but surely it fits Putin’s actions against Ukraine. But the civilized world, mainly the Anglosphere, has long shown its utter indifference to human life by ignoring mass killings on a scale surpassed only by the Nazis and the Communists in the last century. More than a hundred thousand in Syria and still going on; perhaps a million or more in North Korea; millions in Africa, uncounted tens of thousands or more in Iran. In the business world, a diligent board of directors would have long ago fired CEO Obama. Sometimes it takes only a year of less than expected earnings to result in the termination of a corporate CEO. A couple of underperforming years and a few reasons more, and a CEO would have his bags packed and stowed underneath his buck-stopping desk. Two white adults divided the toys, one equally and the other unequally. Seventy per cent of the toddlers chose to play with the researcher who distributed the toys fairly. But in a second test, when one researcher favoured a white recipient over an Asian one, they picked the ‘fair’ researcher less often, the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports.
