McCain: Immigration
crucial to GOP 2016 hopes

Washington Times, by David Sherfinski

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 8/2/2013 12:11:07 PM

Sen. John McCain appears cautiously optimistic that the House of Representatives will ultimately pass some kind of immigration reform — and says that the GOP is doomed in the 2016 presidential contest if the effort fails. “The crystal ball is a little cloudy because I think August is going to be a very seminal month,” he said, pointing out that members are back interacting with constituents and that a broad coalition of interest groups back comprehensive immigration reform. Mr. McCain was part of a bipartisan group that helped

Comments:
Ah yes, the always brilliant and astute politician McCain speaks. s/o I´m sick of looking at him. He says he tries "hard not to get personal." Really? He conveniently forgets calling his fellow Republicans "wacko birds." Heaven only knows what he calls them when he´s not in the public eye. Who made him the official speaker for all Republicans?? He makes these statements in spite of the fact that GOP voters want a tougher stand on immigration.

Our "war hero" is not our political hero, by any means. The people of Arizona spent too much time in the heat when they reelected him.
What a sham this man become!

McCain is an idiot, surpassed in idiocy by Reid and Pelosi. Just the other day McCain said the immigration bill probably wouldn´t get the Repubs one vote, but now the bill is essential to the GOP success in 2016. Right!

It´s well past the time for RNC´s Chairman, Rinse Priebus, to announce that McCain does NOT speak for the Republican Party. McCain´s views and comments are strictly his own, and do not reflect the principles & objectives of the GOP.

John´s mental state is as addled as that of his daughter, Megan. He needs to take his generous senate pension and fade into a desert sunset.

They claim that 74% of the so-called Hispanic vote cast votes for Obama and the liberal Democrats in the last election because they support a massive amnesty for illegal aliens. That leaves out a lot of other factors, like most Hispanics have always voted Democrat, that a lot of them are drawing all sorts of public assistance, and that a lot of Hispanics do not have healthcare insurance and think that the Democrats are going to give them "free" healthcare in the future.

If the Republicans cave and facilitate the liberal Democrat designed amnesty and path to citizenship bill, what reason would the Hispanic vote that went Democrat last time around have to ever vote for the Republicans in the future? The answer is they would not, as all the Democrats would have to do is propose a new and more liberal amnesty before the next election for all the illegal aliens who were left out of the previous amnesty, along with proposing to make the already amnestied aliens eligible to vote almost immediately, to again garner the Hispanic vote.

The Republicans are playing with fire here, as the Democrats have great potential to register tens of millions of foreign born people who would get a legal status as a result of their amnesty bill as new Democrat voters in the years ahead. If the Republicans facilitate that, they will have committed long-term political suicide.

McCain and other anti-American senators voted for the Senate´s comprehensive package.

In there is a provision that illegal aliens may forge up to 2 passports without penalty

I´ve written McCain, Kaine, Warner, my Congresscritter, and some other folks who´ve spoken highly of that bill and asked for an amendment that would benefit at least some American citizens.

To wit, I pointed to the provision on visas and asked that this be extended to American citiens, but that our Quota be raised to 100,000.

I can use 100,000 forged visas in no time ~ and get really rich doing it too. There´s no reason whatsoever to let illegal aliens do it and not allow me to do it.

There are also tax cuts available to the illegals but not or Americans.

Again, I´ve written to all the same geeks asking for the same benefit or citizens. I really could use a serious rebate on taxes that I´ve paid ~ just to make me equal to the illegals.

NOT A ONE of them who voted or the thing have responded to either of my requests.

They are anti-American. They prefer Mexican criminals to honest, lawabiding Americans citizens.

I think we need a new Senate!

Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.) delivered a message to Tea Party critics when he cast a decisive vote Wednesday that led to Senate passage of a debt-ceiling hike: Bring it on. In perhaps his most defining moment in the 113th Congress, McConnell strode up to the dais and declared his “aye” vote in a clear voice heard throughout the chamber. It broke the impasse and seven more Republicans soon voted as well to end the filibuster. It was a risky decision for McConnell, who is facing a difficult primary battle from businessman Matt Bevin, a conservative backed by Tea Party groups. McConnell’s

Iranian oil exports soared in January, hitting new highs just months after the United States consented to billions of dollars in economic sanctions relief under the interim nuclear deal. Exports of Iranian crude oil jumped to 1.32 million barrels, up from December’s high of 1.06 million barrels, according to data from the International Energy Agency. The spike in exports—mainly to Japan, China, and India—has helped Iran’s once-ailing economy stabilize and decrease inflation. Iranian oil exports have steadily risen since negotiations with the West restored confidence in Tehran’s economy.
