Obama’s scheme to take over Texas
Washington Times (D.C), by Greg Abbott

Original Article

Posted By:JoniTx, 7/31/2013 5:37:43 AM

The Obama administration’s interference in Texas’ redistricting and voter-ID litigation does not protect voting rights. It protects the Democratic Party. Recall that just a few months ago, high-ranking Obama operatives launched a campaign to “turn Texas blue.” The administration’s foray into Texas voting rights litigation is just another page in that political playbook. In redistricting, the Obama administration has aligned itself with Democratic state representatives and Democratic members of Congress who already are suing Texas. It is no surprise then that the legal position of President Obama’s attorneys seeks to improve Democratic candidates’ prospects.

This administration considers itself above the law. It is flagrantly flaunting the Constitution and will continue to do so until it is stopped. The Obamabots are committed and determined to usher in a century of progressive rule. They take what they want and have no fear of reprisal. Either the Republican Party stands up and pushes back hard or they will give this country over to people who have no respect for liberty and freedom. The country will never recover if Republicans can´t find the will to fight them. Right now, it doesn´t look good. The good guys have to fight the establishment in the Republican party, the media, and the democrats. I am not encouraged. If we the people don´t rise up, we are lost.

obama´s minions attacking Texas over our voter ID laws infers that democrats cheat A LOT at election time and the ID law will seriously infringe on the democrat´s ability to cheat (multiple votes by 1 person, dead votes, animal votes, Mickey Mouse votes, etc.).

obama´s minions interference into our redistricting plan is designed to keep the gerrymandered districts of Sheila Jackson Lee and other leftard "special" people intact.

Fortunately, we have Greg Abbott, and they do not have anyone as competent as our Attorney General.

Well if Speaker Boner, Paul Ryan and Cantor get their way on immigration by supporting the Senate amnesty bill voter id and redistricting won´t matter. There will be so many illegals who will be legal and they will vote in the next election no matter what Rubio or Ryan say. Texas will then become a blue state and headed towards an all Democratic government like California. It´s all over if amnesty gets passed in October like the Rinos want.

From the Texas Secretary of State website:

Here is a list of the acceptable forms of photo ID:

Texas driver license issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS)
Texas Election Identification Certificate issued by DPS
Texas personal identification card issued by DPS
Texas concealed handgun license issued by DPS
United States military identification card containing the person’s photograph
United States citizenship certificate containing the person’s photograph
United States passport

With the exception of the U.S. citizenship certificate, the identification must be current or have expired no more than 60 days before being presented for voter qualification at the polling place.

How do the elderly and disabled cash a check, rent a video, etc. in Texas? So many places require a photo id, just makes you wonder why the Demonrats are against it when it is part of everday life for all Americans.

Even banana republics around the world require an identification to vote. Those who live under dictatorships are shocked that we so called free Americans do not require a sign of legitimacy.

#8 and 9 point out the hollowness of the carrot-eaters claims at #5. If they can´t figure out how to get a valid, legal id and get to the polls on election day I would say they have self-selected as being someone who shouldn´t vote because they don´t understand what´s at stake. Of course, every libtard who votes falls into that category, but at least some of them would be weeded out.

#5 so right. Just last year our 90 year old neighbor had to renew her license. Fortunately she had the foresight to ask someone to go with her. Neighbor sat in the car while her friend stood in line under the Texas sun (in July) for over an hour. Small building at location with only a few patrons allowed entrance at one time. However, IDs are needed so those who need one somehow manage to succeed in obtaining.

Unfortunately, Purple Fingers don´t seem to be the solution any longer....not with half the country invaded by illegals who should not even be voting one time, let alone 6-9

Texas is the future political ball game in the USA, and the liberal Democrats fully recognize that fact. With this ligation and the big amnesty that the liberal Democrats expect to pass in the fall after the wimpy Republicans cave, it will be just a matter of time until the Texas electorate resembles what has happened in California, where the Republicans have no chance of winning elections. The fact is if the Republicans can no longer win Texas they cannot win future national elections.

The liberal Democrat amnesty and expansion of low-skilled immigration bill is designed to ensure that the Democrats will eventually gain a huge electoral advantage in the years ahead by registering tens of millions of foreign born people as new Democrat voters in the years ahead. There is great potential for that due to the current Democrat skill at registering minority voters and the fact that the bill would either legalize or bring in an estimated 46 million foreign workers, and their foreign family members in the next ten years. Most would be poor and generally uneducated and unskilled, just the class of immigrant that the Democrat community organizers in ethnic and minority neighborhoods have registered in great numbers as new Democrat voters in the recent past. Anyone who claims that more then a very small percentage of those new foreign born voters will register as Republicans is spouting wishful taking and pure political fool´s gold.

The context for this little chestnut of racial nastiness was a heated floor debate in the Illinois legislature over a proposed education reform bill. The fireworks started when Democratic Representative Linda Chapa LaVia, who is Hispanic, delivered a speech criticizing charter schools. Ms. Chapa LaVia was no doubt casting aspersions on behalf of teachers unions — who’ve contributed heavily to her campaigns, are bankrupting the state, and don’t much care for competition. In defense of the status quo — which traps far too many children, especially children of color, in failing public schools — Chapa LaVia appealed to her fellow

Solar power has won the global argument. Photovoltaic energy is already so cheap that it competes with oil, diesel and liquefied natural gas in much of Asia without subsidies. Roughly 29pc of electricity capacity added in America last year came from solar, rising to 100pc even in Massachusetts and Vermont.[Snip] The technology is improving so fast--helped by the US military--that it has achieved a virtous circle. Michael Parker and Flora Chang, at Sanford Bernstein, say we entering a new order of "global energy deflation" that must ineluctably erode the viability of oil, gas and the fossil fuel nexus over time.
