Barack Obama’s clueless message
to America’s middle class shows a
presidency out of touch with reality

Telegraph [UK], by Nile Gardiner

President Obama has been rolling up his sleeves campaigning across the country delivering a surreal stump speech message supposedly aimed at the middle class: big government works, Obamacare is manna from heaven, the wave of recent scandals are “phony” figments of the imagination, and all economic problems are the fault of the Republicans. Conveniently, he leaves out the bankruptcy of Detroit, a city run by his own party for more than half a century. His message is so stale and unconvincing, that even The New York Times and Washington Post have noticed. Both papers, usually loyal to Obama, remarked that

And Nile notes the "staggering" cost of the Obama family´s vacation in Hawaii earlier this year--$7 million, underscoring the president´s membership in the 1%.

The middle class makes up the majority of people who see Obama as a failure,so they don´t believe his baloney. The real message he´s trying to get out is the government needs to step in to fix things and that message is aimed at the lofos.

If he came out and said his plans were to help poor people,it would be rejected out of hand so he has to use the middle class as dupes.

The middle class can fix itself in no time with the right president.Business startups are at historic lows because people figure it isn´t worth the effort and at some point Obama will steal the proceeds.

Obama is in touch with his reality and it is all about fundamentally transforming this country. He is focused and so are the fellow travelers that he has put into positions of power. He has complete freedom to say or do anything because he knows the media will cover for him. He gets no uncomfortable questions from the media. He knows he will not be put on the spot. His venues are packed with avid supporters. There is no visible push back. He is insulated from any unpleasantness. The GOP doesn´t have a clue how to deal with Obama and evidently aren´t interested in finding out how. There are people out there who are experts in the field of messaging. Has Obama hired them all? Wake up, Republicans, what you are doing is not working.

I’ll spend every minute of every day I have left in this office doing everything I can to build that better bargain for the middle class

When he´s not lavishly spending taxpayer money on undeserved vacations, that is.

and make this country a place where everyone who works hard can get ahead.

We had that long before your Kenyan butt came to town and we might get it back if you´d do the honorable thing and resign...and I know that´s wishful thinking.

So far his arrogance and divisiveness is working. Fast and Furious was dropped, when was the last time one heard about Benghazi, the White House is still closed to the American people and he´s still taking his lavish vacations on our dime. The list could go on and on and it´s getting boring. No other president would get away with this. He´s not a leader and trying to pretend now is falling flat.

Because he´s so repetitive, it´s easy to dismiss the fact that Obama absolutely cannot refrain from class warfare rhetoric in any speech, even one intended to be anodyne ´help the middle class´ pap.

This obsession of his is well-documented but doesn´t receive its due attention. He is President Queeg.

Being short one dose of torture from this administration for the week, I forced myself to listen ( can no longer watch) to part of Obama´s speech yesterday on C-Spam. He was deep into his hip-hop staccato and the machine gun ah-ah-ahs that he resorts to when off-prompter a well as the constant use of ´eeeeyo´ and ´tuh´.
He´s an utter/gutter embarrassment for those of us who are still self-flagellating for allowing Clinton to occupy our White House.

There is continued comparison to how O´s ratings are about the same as W´s at the same point in their time in office.
The difference is that W´s poor ratings were driven by non-stop Bush-bashing by nearly all the media, and not much talking on his part, while O´s are driven by his talk and actions while fully supported and in fact promoted by the press.

The dumbing-down of America is proving to be a rousing success. Alongside is America’s upwardly mobile gullibility-rate. The number of “low-information voters” is on the increase. And all’s wrong with the world.

President Pivot von Headfake, always speaking, always campaigning, always standing with his back to a segment of his audience, all in the name of cheesy, manipulative for TV stagecraft. Backgrounders for Barack! Once in a while a B for B member will yawn; for freeze-frame fans, a golden opportunity.

The Great American Con Job continues apace.

Re #21 - I think the founders envisioned and believed that the other two branches, especially Congress would vigorously enforce their charge as a check. Instead, we have the political elite of Washington which includes all of Congress and the Supreme Court along with the Presidency and We the People. Two Americas indeed.

There is something inherently odd about his speeches-the silence. ´ don´t think I´ve ever even heard a cough. One could hear a pin drop. It´s as if they are hanging on his every word, don´t want to miss anything important, don´t cha know? lol. It´s the patronizing, "Bama know better than you" atmosphere that we see on some commercials out there like Allstate, etc. Maybe his staff has sticks they hit people with if they make any noise. Talk about a brainwashed/cherry picked crowd.

# 9 Fast and Furious hasn´t been dropped.
Darrell Issa recently said that Holder has tied up a lot of the information his committee has requested,
in litigation .
Issa was confident that eventually , they will get the truth about Fast and Furious , but, they are in a holding pattern
waiting for the courts to rule.
Obama has had Senioritis since the day he was sworn in.
He is happy to let others advance his radical agenda
while he parties , plays golf and indulges himself.
His handlers trot him out to read a few words off a teleprompter , have him photographed
eating greasy local food and then he´s whisked back to his White House playroom
where he watches ESPN all day with Reggie.
With the lifestyle he presently leads and his life history , he´s always been out of touch.
And he´s never had to suffer the consequences of being out of touch , nor will he.
His pathological laziness and excessive self indulgence is only going to get worse the next 3 and a half years.

Her dark, macabre tales of Gothic romance and revenge have enthralled millions of readers and remain in print decades after her death. But for Daphne du Maurier, the wealth and worldwide fame she earned from novels such as Rebecca and Jamaica Inn were a poor substitute for the acclaim she craved from literary critics who dismissed her as a second-rank “romantic novelist”. The United Nations (UN) has delivered its latest verdict on the measures necessary to save the world from global warming and the news is as grim as it is predictable and wearisomely familiar: More regulation from "experts", technocrats and bureaucrats at supranational organisations, such as the one whose initials begin with U and end with N. [Snip] More nuclear power (with shale gas used as a transitional fuel to replace coal). The abandonment of fossil fuels. Less meat consumption. A single, globally-regulated price for carbon dioxide. More local-government-enforced walking, cycling and public transportation. More back-door wealth redistribution from the West

Big Brother isn´t watching you--but he is listening. The S.C. Department of Health and Human Services, one of the largest, costliest agencies in state government, pays Clemson University´s Social Analytics Institute $50,000 a year to "scrape data" from 150 million public, real-time feeds each day and report back to the agency what people on the Internet are talking about. That includes Medicaid patients who may be complaining about the application process on Twitter or bloggers who criticize Gov. Nikki Haley´s decision to reject Obamacare´s Medicaid expansion. But they say they´re doing this "social listening" in the name of customer service,

U.S. senators told MailOnline during a weekend presidential candidate cattle-call that Attorney General Eric Holder´s credibility is on its last legs, that he owes one Republican lawmaker an apology, and that it´s time for his exit if he won´t indict a corrupt Obama administration official Holder has frayed the GOP´s collective nerves in the past two years, presiding over what they see as a wall of silence that impedes congressional oversight and gives a middle finger to legislators´ lawful subpoenas for tens of thousands of documents. Neurosurgeon Ben Carson says the White House wanted him to apologize for “offending” President Obama after he famously delivered a conservative message at the National Prayer Breakfast last year. Carson, the former director of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital, recalls the events surrounding his 2013 speech in his new book, One Nation: What We Can All Do To Save America’s Future. The Daily Caller obtained an advance copy of the book, which is set for release May 20. “He did not appear to be hostile or angry,” Carson writes of Obama, “but within a matter of minutes after the conclusion of

President Obama inspired a generation of young people to support his historic election in 2008. And in 2012, despite the struggles of his first term, Mr. Obama still managed to win the support of a full 60% of voters age 18-29. But the man who once dreamed of being a transformative leader in the Reagan mold is inspiring few of those young people to follow his lead. "For all the talk about the movement that elected Mr. Obama, the more notable movement of Obama supporters has been away from politics. It appears that few of the young people who voted

On Saturday, I wrote about the standoff at Bundy Ranch. That post drew a remarkable amount of traffic, even though, as I wrote then, I had not quite decided what to make of the story. Since then, I have continued to study the facts and have drawn some conclusions. Here they are. First, it must be admitted that legally, Bundy doesn’t have a leg to stand on. The Bureau of Land Management has been charging him grazing fees since the early 1990s, which he has refused to pay. Further, BLM has issued orders limiting the area on which Bundy’s cows can

Megyn Kelly’s "Kelly File" is a great news show. She’s incisive, informed and customarily handles the toughest guest with aplomb. But her lengthy interview of Facebook C.O.O. Sheryl Sandberg about her second book in the Lean In series Lean In: For Graduates was a head shaker. Amazing that she of all people allowed Sandberg to restring the same old, same old, shamed, and shopworn feminist myths about women and girls and then jangle it in front of her viewing audience like something new out of the box. Indeed Kelly all but genuflected in front of this woman. Kept her on thru

Although the Civil Rights Act, the landmark legislation which just reached its 50th anniversary, made great strides in desegregating the economy, economic discrimination is still widespread, and anti-discrimination legislation alone can never rectify the economic damage inflicted upon blacks by slavery and our Jim Crow apartheid regime. The Civil Rights Act was a mild reform, all things considered, but one conservatives fought with vigor and one many conservatives are still bitter about to this day. When the Civil Rights Act passed in 1964, the primary purpose was to root out discrimination in public accommodations (like hotels and movie theaters)

Toddlers show racial bias when picking playmates, a study reveals. They also take account of how fairly others behave. Researchers tested the reaction of white 15-month-olds as toys were distributed. Two white adults divided the toys, one equally and the other unequally. Seventy per cent of the toddlers chose to play with the researcher who distributed the toys fairly. But in a second test, when one researcher favoured a white recipient over an Asian one, they picked the ‘fair’ researcher less often, the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports. And the babies are more likely to help those who share the same ethnicity, which is known as

Less than a minute into his speech at the Boston marathon bombing memorial on Tuesday, Vice President Joe Biden went tragically off script and told the crowd of Boston bombing survivors that "it was worth it." After expressing how impressed he was with the tribute, he said somberly, "let me say to those ´quote survivors,´ my God, you have survived and you have soared. It was worth it. I mean this sincerely - just to hear each of you speak. You´re truly, truly inspiring." The audience sat in stunned silence until Biden declared, "I´ve never heard anything so beautiful than

Hank Aaron’s recent comments about the need for America to realize that racism is still very much alive and thriving — only now due to those who wear “neckties and starched shirts” rather than KKK hoods — has sparked an angry backlash and many fans are turning the tables, calling the baseball legend himself a racist. “Hank Aaron is a s*****g piece of [expletive] [racial slur],” one man said in an email to the Atlanta Braves’ front office, one of the teams Mr. Aaron used to play for, CBS News reported. “My old man instilled in my mind from a

Western Washington University sent a questionnaire to students asking them for advice on how the administration could succeed at making sure that in future years, “we are not as white as we are today.” The question notes that WWU’s racial make up does not perfectly reflect the nation at large, and asks students to consider strategies that other universities have used to focus on skin color as the paramount indicator of a student-applicant’s worth. The president of WWU has stated that his explicit goal is to reduce the white population on campus, according to Campus Reform. “I’ve said before and I’ll say it

Funny question in the headline, yes? But since President Obama worries more about the threat of terrorists´ improvised nuclear device going off in a major American city than anything Russia can throw at us, I was wondering if the government had deigned to share with us citizens any tips for, you know, surviving something their own intelligence points to as the likeliest unlikely Black Swan event. Well, no. And yes. No — very few people in Washington, D.C., who work for the government have any idea what they would do if a 10-kiloton nuclear device exploded at the intersection of 16th and K

When President Obama needed a preacher to fulfill the closing prayer duties at the annual White House Easter Prayer Breakfast, he turned to none other than the Episcopal Church’s first openly gay bishop — who said he was as shocked as anyone at the appointment. The Right Rev. Gene Robinson said in a tweet, accompanied by a photo of Mr. Obama behind a podium at the event: “POTUS ‘preaches’ at the Easter prayer breakfast. Then, out of the blue, asks ME to close with prayer. OMG!” Newsmax said he also emphasized that the words he chose to close the breakfast

Casual marijuana use may come with some not-so-casual side effects. For the first time ever, researchers at Northwestern University have analyzed the relationship between casual use of marijuana and brain changes – and found that young adults who used cannabis just once or twice a week showed significant abnormalities in two important brain structures. The study’s findings, to be published Wednesday in the Journal of Neuroscience, are similar to those of past research linking chronic, long-term marijuana use with mental illness and changes in brain development. Dr. Hans Breiter, co-senior study author, said he was inspired to look at the effects of casual
