Don Lemon Defends ‘Controversial’

CNN’s Don Lemon would have been a great guest on any talk show Monday after the explosive weekend he had telling viewers Bill O’Reilly “doesn’t go far enough” in his criticism of black culture. He stayed off the major morning shows, but there he was sitting in the audience of The View, apparently as the guest of Republican strategist and temporary co-host Ana Navarro. The camera panned over to Lemon for a quick, impromptu interview about the statements he made that have so many people on both sides of the racial divide

Such is the state of the union today. Even a black man cannot make an obviously true statement about the behavior/lifestyles of some in the black community.

Doesn´t matter, Don. No one can criticize the black community. When Bill Cosby did it, he received a lot of flack for it. He got back on the talking points shortly thereafter. Nothing will change for poor blacks until there is an honest assessment of the true problems. This goes for people of all color. The breakdown of the nuclear family, religion (Christianity) being forced from schools & mainstream American and not taking responsibility for anything. Welfare is no friend to poor people. It perpetuates the problems they have, and makes people dependent on government. Just waiting for the person ahead of them to help them per the president. I could continue but this has been debated many times. It´s easy to pinpoint the problems, but it´s too "mean" for any politician to try to fix because they will be vilified for trying to do so.
And Sherie Shepard comments that because a white guy (Bill O´Reilly) has no experience as a black person his comments have no relevance. Nothing will change.

The race hustlers, Jackson, Sharpton, NAACP, Congressional Black Caucus, etc., are quite comfortable with the status quo within the black community. It gives them opportunities whenever a white, or white hispanic, is involved in the killings to cause their ruckus, and make their money therefrom.

That is the problem, there are no rules and a perfect example of why Travon felt empowered to beat up someone he didn´t like...

Until Sharpton and Old Jesse wise up to the fact that the "Black Man" needs to change if he wants respect, nothing will be any different, and they will go on hustling their lies. They promote blacks like Rachel Jeantel, and the poor thing is the epitome of the young black culture (as she ignorantly calls it -- new generation); arrogant and illiterate, and has no clue how to exist in a world, and she has no chance of "taking care of herself." Blacks want to be victims, and if you lock your door when you see them coming, you are a racist. I have been robbed twice by black men, assaulted on the sidewalk by black men, and witnessed black men mugging others. I will always lock my door when I see them coming, until they teach me that I can respect them and have no reason to fear them.

It’s the bland leading the bland as Obamacare enrollment (sort of) ends. The front page of Monday’s Washington Post carries the headline “New fronts in health battle: Challenges after sign-up milestone.” (Yawn.) The pull quote inside on A-2 is “The unresolved issues mean it is far too soon to know how President Obama’s signature domestic achievement will turn out.” In that case, why use the word “achievement”? Did they describe the Iraq War as Bush´s "signature achievement"? In doing so, the Post sounds just like Obama adviser David Plouffe, whom they quoted from ABC saying “The law’s working” and it’s

The online federal health insurance marketplace, HealthCare.gov, has been pushed beyond its capacity for the second time on Monday, as Americans around the country are racing to sign up for health plans before a midnight deadline. Shortly after noon, new visitors to the Web site began to be greeted with a screen saying, “We need you to wait here, so we can make sure there’s room for you to have a good experience on our site.” The screen inviting them to leave email addresses so that they could be contacted when the volume lessened, although it was unclear whether that

FRANKFORT, Ky. — In one of the poorest areas of Appalachia, about 2,500 people have signed up to get health insurance over the last six months — a number that represents more than a tenth of Clay County’s residents. One-hundred-and-twenty miles way, the county’s state senator, Robert Stivers, is laying out his plans to gradually gut the Affordable Care Act in Kentucky, which provided his constituents with insurance. The soft-spoken 52-year-old Republican is hardly a fiery Tea Party type: He first joined the state Legislature in 1997 and slowly rose through the ranks to become the state Senate president. In

The government’s estimate of autism has moved up again to 1 in 68 U.S. children, a 30 percent increase in two years. But health officials say the new number may not mean autism is more common. Much of the increase is believed to be from a cultural and medical shift, with doctors diagnosing autism more frequently, especially in children with milder problems. “We can’t dismiss the numbers. But we can’t interpret it to mean more people are getting the disorder,” said Marisela Huerta, a psychologist at the New York-Presbyterian Center for Autism and the Developing Brain in suburban White Plains, N.Y.

The state with the most segregated public schools is New York. Other states with exceptionally segregated schools include California, Illinois and Michigan. These findings come from a longitudinal study of enrollment figures conducted by the Civil Rights Project at the University of California at Los Angeles, The Associated Press reports. The period studied was 1998 through 2010. New York, California, Illinois and Michigan are traditionally among the most reliably Democratic states in the union, as an interactive 2012 map created by Slate shows.
