Comments: Don´t you just love it when someone uses their 2nd amendment rights?
#6-7: Scattered, diced, and smothered. Love their waffles, too. Nice to know fellow patrons are looking our for the rest of us. Bet this story won´t be found in most of the MSM. Wouldn´t want to tell a story in which guns work for the good guys.
Funny story. I was visiting my son when he was stationed at Fort Campbell and we went to a Waffle House for breakfast. As we were walking in, I said I brought my cigarettes, I wonder if i can some in here. He said Mom, we´re at a Waffle House in Kentucky, I´m pretty sure you can smoke.
Two years after Katrina, I took a drive up the Redneck Riveria from New Orleans (which still looked bombed-out) to Mobile. The storm surge had wiped out everything for a half-mile inland, but two kinds of businesses had rebuilt along the stretch: casinos and Waffle Houses.
I respect every employee, manager and the executives at Wafflehouses. The executives will be found on Thanksgiving and other holidays putting in shifts, washing dishes, sweeping and mopping floors, etc. Thank you.
This December 6, 1993, article by Robert Fisk of The Independent titled, "Anti-Soviet warrior puts his army on the road to peace," is stunning to consider 20 years later. Osama bin Laden, fresh off the US-backed mujahadin´s victory over Russia in 1989, flew his men, materials and money down to Sudan, ostensibly to start public works projects.-Snip-"I am a construction engineer and an agriculturalist. If I had training camps here in Sudan, I couldn´t possibly do this job."
Scientists have found the oldest DNA evidence yet of humans’ biological history. But instead of neatly clarifying human evolution, the finding is adding new mysteries. In a paper in the journal Nature, scientists reported Wednesday that they had retrieved ancient human DNA from a fossil dating back about 400,000 years, shattering the previous record of 100,000 years. The fossil, a thigh bone found in Spain, had previously seemed to many experts to belong to a forerunner of Neanderthals. But its DNA tells a very different story. It most closely resembles DNA from an enigmatic lineage of humans known as Denisovans. Until
SPRING CITY, Pa. — Frank Schaefer gets to keep calling himself a Methodist pastor — at least for the next 30 days. The United Methodist clergyman convicted of breaking church law for officiating at his son´s same-sex wedding was suspended late Tuesday, and ordered by a jury of his fellow pastors to surrender his credentials in a month if he can´t bring himself to adhere to the laws of the church´s Book of Discipline. Schaefer said he had no intention of changing his mind about the church´s teaching on homosexuality, declaring he would perform more gay marriages if asked.
Tuscaloosa, Ala. - Alabama´s football team is steaming toward Saturday´s showdown with rival Auburn and a possible third consecutive national championship. The team has lost only two games in the past three seasons. But here in Tuscaloosa, there is one small pocket of dissatisfaction—and it´s an important one. It is located inside the home shared by Terry Saban and her husband of 42 years, Nick, the team´s head coach. The first couple of Alabama football may be standing on top of the world, but it isn't necessarily thrilled by the view. "You come to a crossroads and the expectations get so great,

Criminals take note; You´re taking a chance if you try to ply your trade in the Dodge County town of Rhine. STANFORD, Calif. -- Stanford squashed Oregon´s national championship hopes again, schooling the Ducks in power football. Florida State might want to send the Cardinal a thank you card. The Cardinal made it two in a row against the Ducks, who haven´t lost to any other team in the past two seasons.
At the Country Music Association awards in Nashville, effectively the Grammys for country music, superstar hosts Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood performed a song skit mocking Obamacare, the Democrats´ public health initiative that has proved hugely unpopular amongst conservatives. Paisley, feigning a strained back, was attended to by Underwood who suggested he try Obamacare: "I started signing up last Thursday and I´m almost done!" They then launched into Obamacare By Morning, a spoof of George Straight´s country classic Amarillo by Morning, attacking the initiative´s slow service and inefficiency.
On October 22, the European Parliament rejected a report that recommended nations of the European Union declare abortion to be a human right. The Parliament also rejected the notion that abortion should be made available within all public health systems of member nations. According to CNSNews.com, the 351-319 vote sent the measure back to its committee on women’s rights and gender equality, an outcome its supporters said was due to “intense lobbying by right-wing religious and political conservatives.”
A key Iranian cyber war operative may have been killed in an “internal dispute,” cabinet minister and former Shin Bet intelligence chief Yaakov Peri said Thursday. Peri, the minister of science, was speaking on Israel Radio as Iran denied reports that Cyber War Headquarters commander Mojtaba Ahmadi, who was recently found dead northwest of Tehran, had been assassinated. Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said he had died in a “horrific incident,” but ruled out assassination. “The main reason of the event and the motive of the attacker has not been specified,” added a Revolutionary Guards statement quoted by Reuters. On his way to the podium at the memorial ceremony for former South African president Nelson Mandela, President Obama walked down the line of dignitaries, greeting other leaders there to pay their respects. Among the hands shaken: that of Cuban leader Raul Castro. Obama neither made a special effort to shake Castro’s hand nor to avoid him. A snub might have been awkward: In his speech, Obama praised Mandela’s “greatest gift” as “his recognition that we are all bound together in ways that can be invisible to the eye; that there is a oneness to humanity; that we achieve ourselves by
The Obama State Department has finally released a second round of photos revealing the harrowing devastation wrought by a terrorist attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi on Sept. 11, 2012. The new photographs depict rampant damage to the consulate. They show charred walls, smoldering fires, Arabic graffiti defacing exterior walls, and scattered debris throughout. The extent of the damage would lead any reasonably serious person to conclude that this was a cold, calculated attack, carefully coordinated to mark the 11th anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001. Unfortunately for the American people, the Obama-Clinton-Rice cabal that led to the Benghazi cover-up was
A black fashion student says he was brutally attacked by a gang of Hasidic men who shouted anti-gay slurs at him while he was walking through Williamsburg after a night of partying, the Daily News has learned. A “presidential selfie” featuring President Barack Obama, British Prime Minister David Cameron, and Denmark’s Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt at Nelson Mandela’s memorial service began making the rounds this morning, but it’s the person not included in the frame who caught everyone’s attention: As anyone with two eyes and a Twitter account has noticed, Michelle Obama does not appear amused. Of course, though a picture says a thousand words, not all of those words are necessarily true. FLOTUS might not have even known the photo was taking place. Or she could disapprove of funeral selfies. Either way.
Just how much do many Hollywood liberals hate conservatives? In an interview with Playboy, Ben Affleck said, "When I watch a guy [on film] I know is a big Republican, part of me thinks, I probably wouldn’t like this person if I met him": PLAYBOY: You developed a political profile campaigning for presidential candidates Al Gore, John Kerry and Barack Obama. How did that come about? AFFLECK: I grew up in a house with a mother who was a teacher and a Freedom Rider—very left-wing Democrats living in a heterogeneous working-class neighborhood. I picked up a lot of those values there, and I
MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry opened her program over the weekend with a commentary about the Affordable Care Act’s colloquial moniker: “Obamacare.” She said that the word was originally created as a “derogatory term,” designed by white men as a way to delegitimize President Barack Obama and his achievement. However, she said that the term will soon be synonymous with all of Obama’s accomplishments and she urged her audience to use the term with pride. “I want to talk today about a controversial word. It’s a word that has been with us for years, and like it or not, it’s indelibly

Former Secretary of State Colin Powell believes the United States should have a socialized, single-payer healthcare system similar to those in Canada and Europe. “I think universal health care is one of the things we should really be focused on, and I hope that will happen,” Powell reportedly said last week. “Whether it’s Obamacare, or son of Obamacare, I don’t care. As long as we get it done.” The Puget Sound Business Journal reported Powell´s remarks at the Prostate Cancer Survivors Celebration Breakfast at the University of Washington´s Cancer Research Center.
