What Do the Microscopic
Rallies for Trayvon Mean?

PJ Media, by Roger L.Simon

Original Article

Posted By:StormCnter, 7/22/2013 4:36:28 AM

According to Reuters, in New York a grand total of 2000 people showed up Saturday to protest in favor of Trayvon Martin in the George Zimmerman trial. That’s .00024257 of the population of our most populous city. More New Yorkers show up for pizza at Ray’s between 6:00 and 6:05 in the evening. (Well, who knows? But you get my point.) In our second most populous city, my hometown of Los Angeles, the results were even worse, according to the Los Angeles Times. A measly 400 people demonstrated. The totals in Miami, closest big city to the event, were 300.

It was organized too fast and deciding to have a 100 cities was confusing. It almost ensured each turnout would be low.

If all the hype had promoted a single big rally next month it could have been impressive.

I suspect most blacks think the right verdict was reached. But they also believe they are better off to not say so.

Posters above have it right. Absent the phony element of race from this case, it was a fairly mundane homicide. They unfortunately happen all over the USA all the time(cf-Chicago last weekend).

Houston had around 100, out of the over 4 million people in the region. Galveston had 6 people.

The attempt by this administration to utilize Trayvon´s death for tougher gun control has failed.

Perhaps if race-hustlers Sharpton, Jackson and some of the politicians around the country and in D.C., would have a demonstration in Chicago, and other places about the local violence, killings, etc., just maybe, maybe they´d draw a crowd? Jes´ sayin´.

This story is long past it´s shelf life. It was far more about the media and their failed attempt to publicly lynch Zimmerman than it was about a black teenager being killed. Everyone knows that the media couldn´t care less about how many black teenagers are killed. If they did Chicago would be front page news every day.

When Beyonce and her husband and Traymom herself and the Sharpster hisself were said to have drawn only 500 (which was probably less) in NYC, you kind of get the idea that the folks they were trying to hustle up are smarter than they give them credit for. They can read. Any thinking person knows that at the moment he was shot Trayvon Martin was in the process of mortally injuring George Zimmerman. I wouldn´t want that loser kid to be part of my black legacy.

If the O.J.Simpson trial got as much post-trial scrutiny as the Zimmerman trial, maybe he´d have gotten tossed in jail where he belonged.

Innocent little Trayvon (with a rap sheet) has had quite a makeover by the liberal press and by his compatriots and race-baiters. I keep hearing from pundits that "we need this dialogue about race in America" but what the living hell are they talking about?

The only racism is that coming from the Left, not the Right. They jin up grievances about alleged racism that doesn´t exist, then they claim "we need this dialogue". We don´t need a dialogue. Black communities´ problems are self-inflicted by their gangsta culture and their culture of coarseness, propagated by the lack of a decorous moral code and by the absence of fathers in the home.

Add to that, many who live in such neighborhoods have no stake in the houses in which they live, hence no incentive to keep the neighborhoods crime-free and cleaned up. We pay for their housing, so why should they bother to make it livable when Uncle Sam will take more taxpayer money and fix it up. Except in Detroit, that is. And even that will get a gov´t bailout, you watch.

Trayvon is insignificant unless he can be used as a prop for race-baiters, Obama and Holder. But I repeat myself.

We don´t need a "dialogue about race" in America. We need to just shut up about it, but then Sharpton et al wouldn´t have jobs, would they? Nor would the bused-in community organizers like Obama who thrive on chaos.

It doesn´t matter how many people go to these things as long as the local newscasts give them the first five minutes, show close-up crowd photos that make it seem like there were lots of people there and then repeat the talking points without question.

Even the 2000 reported by Reuters is being reported by other sources (like Fox) as being around 500 - which is probably the closer number. This was not done because they thought Zimmerman was guilty - all of them from 0bama down know the truth. Similarly they also knew, I believe that there would be scant response. But they got a weekend´s worth of distraction from the real problems. Do you remember the testimony at the IRS hearings on Monday morning?

How many wars can the man who lives in Our House start? Nearly all have been a failure, although they have done damage.

OWS, the War on Women, race wars, culture wars, social mores wars, I´m beginning to think that he and the Demonrats are spreading themselves a bit thin and as a result of the constant strife, many are beginning to yawn and turn away from the trouble makers.

After all, it is a struggle for Americans to put gas in the car and food on the table, hard to distract from the sorry truth of life in America under the Demonrat regime.

This worked in the ´60´s era of civil rights. We saw way too much of this in the south. While we had lessons to learn, and we did, it quickly went into overkill and certain "Rev´rums" became filthy rich. There was actually an active 50 year, that 50 YEAR desegregation act in Baton Rouge, La. It ended when the judge in charge retired. Wonder how much he made.

I did notice the pitiful number of marchers. No one wanted to see a young man gunned down, but he did start the fight and from that first punch, his fate was sealed.

Seems to me race-baiters like the lame-stream media, and the usual communists angered many Hispanics and exacerbated race relations between them. I believe this held back much of the impetus for riot. Also Obama and his ilk are no longer lead as many blacks as before even if still a majority. Things are still too unsettled to anticipate much good yet but at least it initially didn´t work out in the left´s favor.

Stage a rally with a free 0bamaphone for everyone - - and watch the crowds overflow.

In marketing - - and race hustling - - you´ve got to give ´em what they want!

To a degree Obama should pay attention too. After all, he gave his blessing to the protests. I have said that his over-the-top predictions for the sequester was a tipping point. He had virtually everyone laughing at him over his doom and gloom forecasts. I believe that he too will begin to fade as new black leaders emerge.

This entire matter was built upon lies to prove racism of whites on blacks and it´s not correct. As Rush said last week, the biggest threat to black youth is their absent fathers.

And there was NO demonstration, marches, or any other type of protest. These folks, young and old, just went on with their daily lives like they always do. It seems the their assimalation into America is complete. And a large number of young blacks don´t even know who Jackson and Sharpton are. In a way, it´s a blessing.

The fortunate, although unintended, consequence of this fiasco is that the extreme unreasonableness of those who organized the hoopla empowered everyone else to answer back with the heretofore previously PC-unpermitted: "Where is the outrage over Chicago?" The door is now open and I think they realize the whole thing was an epic fail.

#20 makes very good points.

Going on my own experience, it seems that what we, corporately, as Americans including every race and ethnic group, we are exhausted by the endless campaigning, for sure, but the irritation, the stirring of strife, the pitting of one group against another, this is why we suffer exhaustion. --or, I should say, the unending EFFORTS to arouse strife amongst us.

This is when we must fight ennui and the urge to give up the fight when confronted with the kind of evil perpetrated by race-baiters and demagogues.

I hope that more and more of our fellow Americans, including those who happen to be Black, will pay attention to the many rational, brilliant, conservative Blacks (such as Shelby Steele today in "Must Reads") who have been speaking out for years and who increasingly get forums to present their views.

Imagine the conversations going on in the inner chambers of the White House. BO´s magic fairly dust is losing its efficacy.

Time will tell. But we can pray that everyone else is now finding out that BO is the "incredibly shrinking" President, a homununculus, as i like to call him, and these puny gatherings are suited to the puny POTUS.

Nevertheless, whatever hopefulness may drift across my brain and heart, it´s tempered by the fact and reality that this noxious man was, after all, re-elected.

1. It is too hot for astro turf.
2. Anyone that followed the trial knows that the jury made the proper decision.

It is a shame that a person lost their life, but there is much more to the story than a kid walking home with Skittles and iced tea and people know that.

Proponents of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) insist that the law will extend health insurance to millions, expand access to health care, and improve Americans’ overall health. But, as the New York Times recently reported, at least 20 percent of the new enrollees have not paid their premiums. They therefore do not really have insurance. But even for those enrollees paying premiums, having health insurance is not the same thing as getting good health care, or any health care. In fact, it doesn’t matter how many Americans obtain insurance under the ACA. Most will have difficulty finding a physician. Many Americans

A few years ago, the corruption convictions of several prominent plaintiffs´ lawyers put a spotlight on dishonesty in American civil courts. Now the sleaze has burst back into the news with cases involving Chevron and Dole Food Co., this time with an international twist. Last month, a federal court in Manhattan found that a U.S. plaintiffs´ lawyer had masterminded a multibillion dollar fraud and extortion scheme against Chevron in Ecuador. Such a finding may lower the incentive for the world to reduce fossil fuel pollution and feed the arguments of those skeptical about whether it’s worth spending money to curtail rising temperatures. Global temperatures haven’t risen in 15 years, but never mind that. Pay no attention to the Sun’s role in our climate. The UN report is set for release next week. Plenty of time to

AUSTIN — A Texas judge was expected to seat a grand jury Monday in an investigation into whether Gov. Rick Perry abused his power by vetoing funding for public corruption prosecutors last year. Special State District Judge Bert Richardson was to oversee the impaneling in Austin. The governor’s office didn’t return messages seeking comment, but The Austin-American Statesman and KVUE-TV reported that Perry took the unusual step of hiring a criminal defense attorney to represent him. The attorney, David Botsford, did not return calls from The Associated Press seeking comment. In June, the governor threatened to veto funding approved by the Texas Legislature

The Pulitzer Prize board has just managed to do the impossible. It has awarded a prize that deserves to be spoken of in the same conversation with its risible 1932 award to the New York Times correspondent Walter Duranty for articles whitewashing the evils of Stalinist Russia. The award of the Public Service prize to the Washington Post and the Guardian for serving as a mouthpiece for Edward Snowden is an attempt by the journalistic establishment to put its stamp of approval on the actions of one of the most destructive traitors in U.S. history—a former NSA contractor who has done

A Texas man was sentenced yesterday to 18 months in state prison for urinating on the Alamo. Daniel Athens, a 23-year-old El Paso resident, pleaded guilty earlier this year to a criminal mischief charge in connection with the April 2012 incident at the Texas shrine. While Athens could have faced a maximum of two years in custody, a plea deal saved him up to six months in custody. Athens was also ordered to pay $4000 in restitution by District Judge Ray Olivarri. Since Athens is not eligible for parole, he will have to serve the entirety of his 18-month sentence. As detailed

Neurosurgeon Ben Carson says the White House wanted him to apologize for “offending” President Obama after he famously delivered a conservative message at the National Prayer Breakfast last year. Carson, the former director of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital, recalls the events surrounding his 2013 speech in his new book, One Nation: What We Can All Do To Save America’s Future. The Daily Caller obtained an advance copy of the book, which is set for release May 20. “He did not appear to be hostile or angry,” Carson writes of Obama, “but within a matter of minutes after the conclusion of

President Obama inspired a generation of young people to support his historic election in 2008. And in 2012, despite the struggles of his first term, Mr. Obama still managed to win the support of a full 60% of voters age 18-29. But the man who once dreamed of being a transformative leader in the Reagan mold is inspiring few of those young people to follow his lead. "For all the talk about the movement that elected Mr. Obama, the more notable movement of Obama supporters has been away from politics. It appears that few of the young people who voted

On Saturday, I wrote about the standoff at Bundy Ranch. That post drew a remarkable amount of traffic, even though, as I wrote then, I had not quite decided what to make of the story. Since then, I have continued to study the facts and have drawn some conclusions. Here they are. First, it must be admitted that legally, Bundy doesn’t have a leg to stand on. The Bureau of Land Management has been charging him grazing fees since the early 1990s, which he has refused to pay. Further, BLM has issued orders limiting the area on which Bundy’s cows can

Megyn Kelly’s "Kelly File" is a great news show. She’s incisive, informed and customarily handles the toughest guest with aplomb. But her lengthy interview of Facebook C.O.O. Sheryl Sandberg about her second book in the Lean In series Lean In: For Graduates was a head shaker. Amazing that she of all people allowed Sandberg to restring the same old, same old, shamed, and shopworn feminist myths about women and girls and then jangle it in front of her viewing audience like something new out of the box. Indeed Kelly all but genuflected in front of this woman. Kept her on thru

Although the Civil Rights Act, the landmark legislation which just reached its 50th anniversary, made great strides in desegregating the economy, economic discrimination is still widespread, and anti-discrimination legislation alone can never rectify the economic damage inflicted upon blacks by slavery and our Jim Crow apartheid regime. The Civil Rights Act was a mild reform, all things considered, but one conservatives fought with vigor and one many conservatives are still bitter about to this day. When the Civil Rights Act passed in 1964, the primary purpose was to root out discrimination in public accommodations (like hotels and movie theaters)

Toddlers show racial bias when picking playmates, a study reveals. They also take account of how fairly others behave. Researchers tested the reaction of white 15-month-olds as toys were distributed. Two white adults divided the toys, one equally and the other unequally. Seventy per cent of the toddlers chose to play with the researcher who distributed the toys fairly. But in a second test, when one researcher favoured a white recipient over an Asian one, they picked the ‘fair’ researcher less often, the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports. And the babies are more likely to help those who share the same ethnicity, which is known as

Less than a minute into his speech at the Boston marathon bombing memorial on Tuesday, Vice President Joe Biden went tragically off script and told the crowd of Boston bombing survivors that "it was worth it." After expressing how impressed he was with the tribute, he said somberly, "let me say to those ´quote survivors,´ my God, you have survived and you have soared. It was worth it. I mean this sincerely - just to hear each of you speak. You´re truly, truly inspiring." The audience sat in stunned silence until Biden declared, "I´ve never heard anything so beautiful than

Hank Aaron’s recent comments about the need for America to realize that racism is still very much alive and thriving — only now due to those who wear “neckties and starched shirts” rather than KKK hoods — has sparked an angry backlash and many fans are turning the tables, calling the baseball legend himself a racist. “Hank Aaron is a s*****g piece of [expletive] [racial slur],” one man said in an email to the Atlanta Braves’ front office, one of the teams Mr. Aaron used to play for, CBS News reported. “My old man instilled in my mind from a

Western Washington University sent a questionnaire to students asking them for advice on how the administration could succeed at making sure that in future years, “we are not as white as we are today.” The question notes that WWU’s racial make up does not perfectly reflect the nation at large, and asks students to consider strategies that other universities have used to focus on skin color as the paramount indicator of a student-applicant’s worth. The president of WWU has stated that his explicit goal is to reduce the white population on campus, according to Campus Reform. “I’ve said before and I’ll say it

Funny question in the headline, yes? But since President Obama worries more about the threat of terrorists´ improvised nuclear device going off in a major American city than anything Russia can throw at us, I was wondering if the government had deigned to share with us citizens any tips for, you know, surviving something their own intelligence points to as the likeliest unlikely Black Swan event. Well, no. And yes. No — very few people in Washington, D.C., who work for the government have any idea what they would do if a 10-kiloton nuclear device exploded at the intersection of 16th and K

Casual marijuana use may come with some not-so-casual side effects. For the first time ever, researchers at Northwestern University have analyzed the relationship between casual use of marijuana and brain changes – and found that young adults who used cannabis just once or twice a week showed significant abnormalities in two important brain structures. The study’s findings, to be published Wednesday in the Journal of Neuroscience, are similar to those of past research linking chronic, long-term marijuana use with mental illness and changes in brain development. Dr. Hans Breiter, co-senior study author, said he was inspired to look at the effects of casual

When President Obama needed a preacher to fulfill the closing prayer duties at the annual White House Easter Prayer Breakfast, he turned to none other than the Episcopal Church’s first openly gay bishop — who said he was as shocked as anyone at the appointment. The Right Rev. Gene Robinson said in a tweet, accompanied by a photo of Mr. Obama behind a podium at the event: “POTUS ‘preaches’ at the Easter prayer breakfast. Then, out of the blue, asks ME to close with prayer. OMG!” Newsmax said he also emphasized that the words he chose to close the breakfast
