The Rev. Sharpton’s
already flagging posse

Canada Free Press, by Judi McLeod

Not a bit like the vigilante posses in the movies, the Rev. Al Sharpton’s posse will be out in 100 cities this weekend. But although the mainstream media’s not admitting it, Al’s is a posse that is already flagging before it starts. Missing from the the Rev. Sharpton’s planned “Justice for Trayvon” day, is the real spontaneity and consensus of the posses of yore. Rev. Sharpton’s planned weekend protests in 100 cities, relies on the mainstream media and politicians of the day fueling the fire of racial unrest.

Many protestors carry SEIU signage. Are they being paid by that group of thugs?

Should violence break out and someone is murdered, will Sharpton be charged for aiding an abetting? Instigating?

The good "Reverend" has had more than his share of "Warhol Time" and he is desperate to get it back. That is the only reason he is shilling for "justice". He tried to restore any relevance he ever had on cable and ended up repeatedly at the bottom of the heap. So now he is going back to what he does best, race hustling. My favorite sound bite was when he accused the imagined conspiritors behind the acquital of thinking that "We Ignant", not realizing that his gross mispronounciation of the word indeed makes him sound ignorant.

In the fall of 2010, the nasty midterms drawing to a close, Michelle Obama was contemplating her next move. Two years into her tenure as first lady, the breathless fixation on guest lists and china selections was subsiding into routine, and she wanted a plan for the rest of her husband’s time in office. Of course, her calendar would never lack for National Hostess duties—the obligatory social functions outlined in binders left by Laura Bush’s team. She had already launched Let’s Move!, the childhood obesity initiative, and Joining Forces, a program to help military families and veterans, was also in

ALBANY — New York, whose status as the most populous state has long been ceded, will soon fall behind Florida into fourth place, a long-anticipated drop that is rife with symbolism and that could carry potentially serious economic consequences in coming years. When the Census Bureau releases its latest population estimates on Monday, demographers expect that Florida and New York will be narrowly separated — perhaps by as little as a few thousand people — and that if Florida does not pass New York this time, it almost certainly will do so in 2014. The census figures underscore immigration trends, as foreign-born migrants continue to

The Oscar-winning film director Charles Ferguson has cancelled his CNN documentary on Hillary Clinton after what he described as a private campaign against the film by prominent Democrats. Ferguson said he had decided to pull the plug after being met with a wall of silence from more than a hundred people who refused to be interviewed for the documentary. He claimed that aides to the former secretary of state put pressure on CNN behind the scenes, and made clear that Clinton would only co-operate "over my dead body". When Ted Sarandos put out the word that Netflix would begin producing original shows, he was swamped with story pitches that everyone else in Hollywood clearly had taken a pass on — including some scripts marked with coffee stains, smudged fingerprints and other telltale signs of rejection. That all changed in 2011 after Netflix bought the political thriller "House of Cards" from "The Social Network" and "Fight Club" director David Fincher.

The White House is going to war with another fox — and this time, it’s personal. The Wall Street Journal reports that a red fox has been causing chaos around the White House, tripping security alarms, digging up Michelle’s garden and distracting the president from his duties. The Secret Service won’t give any details about how often the fox trips the White House’s obviously sophisticated security alarms, but rest assured, officials say, they’re watching. President Obama was apparently “stunned” to see the fox roaming freely down the oft-photographed White House colonnade, home to the world’s shortest, but most dramatic, outdoor strolls.
