South Africa: Nelson Mandela in
critical condition

Associated Press, by Christopher Torchia

Original Article

Nelson Mandela´s health has deteriorated and he is now in critical condition, the South African government said Sunday. The office of President Jacob Zuma said in a statement that he had visited the 94-year-old anti-apartheid leader at a hospital on Sunday evening and was informed by the medical team that Mandela´s condition had become critical in the past 24 hours. "The doctors are doing everything possible to get his condition to improve and are ensuring that Madiba is well-looked after and is comfortable. He is in good hands," Zuma said in the statement, using Mandela´s clan name.

Comments:
I am honestly not sure what to think about Mandela. Saint or demon?

Some of us are thinking that Obama timed his Africa trip to take advantage of Mandels´s death. Mandela could die at any time so why not show the world how much he "cares" if Mandela dies during his visit? If nothing else, the slimeball Obama is an opportunist.

The O trip has been announced for months and months, maybe planned as long as a year? And they knew Mandela would be in critical condition probably dying right now so planned it to coincide?

I thought N. Mandela was the pop king of "Necklacing"

(for all you LoFo voters out there, that means slavery reparations now, in spades, and on steroids)

This dirtbag (mandela) is no doubt a major role model of our dirtbag-fake-counterfeit POTUS>

Necklacing has nothing to do with reparations. It was a horrific way Africans killed other Africans. They filled a tire with gasoline, placed it over the shoulders of the person they thought was a collaborator, then set them on fire. I´ve never heard of Mandala being involved but his wife Winnie was accused to have taken part in some.

I thought it was Winnie Mandela who endorsed necklacing, #4. To quote her, "With our boxes of matches and our necklaces, we shall liberate this country." Nelson was in prison at the time.

Yes, it was Winnie Mandela. And necklacing was perpetrated on black Africans by black Africans. It was horrific.

Mandela was no saint. He was a terrorist, but he did affect a mostly peaceful transition out of apartheid and that was no small feat. That South Africa has not thrived since then is the effect of Communist/Socialist policy, simple as that.

#18, I half expect Obama to move to South Africa when his term is finished here. He has no loyalty to the USA. He will be relatively young. If he can get any kind of endorsement from Mandela during this visit it will set him up. He can go build a political career in SA and thereby sidetrack the criminal charges which I think will come once he is out of office.

A rapid shift to wind and solar power is needed if the world is to avoid catastrophic global warming, the United Nations warns in a crucial report today. Emissions of greenhouse gases need to be cut by up to 70 per cent before 2050 to control climate change, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) says. ‘Large-scale changes in energy systems’ are required, with coal power stations to be switched off and replaced by wind and solar. Although the Civil Rights Act, the landmark legislation which just reached its 50th anniversary, made great strides in desegregating the economy, economic discrimination is still widespread, and anti-discrimination legislation alone can never rectify the economic damage inflicted upon blacks by slavery and our Jim Crow apartheid regime. The Civil Rights Act was a mild reform, all things considered, but one conservatives fought with vigor and one many conservatives are still bitter about to this day. When the Civil Rights Act passed in 1964, the primary purpose was to root out discrimination in public accommodations (like hotels and movie theaters)

Let’s put it this way: If my friends and I went out to a bar and started playing a “let’s write the racist FoxNews.com comment thread” drinking game, our efforts couldn’t begin to approach what I read there.I wasn’t alone.
