Bill Clinton: There’s no ‘big,

Washington Examiner, by Joel Gehrke

Former President Bill Clinton, while suggesting that another push for gun control legislation might succeed, faulted the National Rifle Association for convincing “country” people that “there’s this big, conspiratorial federal government” plan to confiscate firearms. “What’s going on is that these organized special interest groups don’t want anything done because it’s a big source of their money to terrify people living out in the country that there’s this big, conspiratorial federal government trying to take their guns away,” Clinton said on Morning Joe. “I think if you could get a

If deporting all illegal aliens saves even one life then it´s what they should be doing.
If banning muslims from traveling to the US saves even one life then it´s the right thing to do.
If making it impossible for cars to exceed 40 MPH saves even one life then why wont we do it?
If background checks saves even one life then pass the law.
Is this still America?

And remember too that Clinton´s lips were moving.

"There’s no ‘big, conspiratorial federal government’push for gun confiscation." Really?
Maybe there´s a slightly big, conspiratorial federal government push for gun confiscation. Maybe there´s an unannounced conspiracy.

Putting a known liar (in fact, one who was impeached for lying to Congress) out in front of the public to make your point doesn´t exactly put much credence to your point.

I guess it depends on what your definition of ´´big conspiratorial federal government

No just laying the infrastructure so that when the urge hits them all is ready. Even if one ignores the slips where progressives speak of their desire for confiscation or the actual behavior in the aftermath of Katrina, or equating gun owners with sex offenders by disclosing their addresses etc..... What we are being asked to accept is the equivalent to having our hands tied and walked down the plank while they assure us that nobody intends to shove us into the drink.

I regard Bill as the most able American politician of my lifetime. A superb craftsman with no firm principles.

He understands power and how O can use it. BJ isn´t about to cross Barrack.

At the same time Clinton understands he must express some reservations in order to retain any influence at all. So he continues, as he always has, to steer a little left then a little right. It has worked all his life.

Maybe so. But what they will do is set it up so the next liberal president and congress can easily abuse the law and get one more step closer to confiscation.

To liberals it´s all about incrementalism; warm that water in the pot little by little taking only large enough bites that the frog will accept it without jumping out of the pot.

Marco Rubio is beefing up his political action committee, making significant high-level changes to it and his senatorial staff. The changes are intensifying speculation that Rubio – who many thought that former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney would pick to be his vice president in 2102 – is preparing the terrain for the 2016 presidential race. Publicly, Rubio, a Florida Republican, has said he has not yet decided whether to aim for the White House in two years, or whether he’ll seek re-election to the Senate. His announcement, on his website, suggested he might be looking at running in 2016, but stopped short of

A recent survey of 148 insurance brokers shows that ObamaCare is sending premiums rising at the fastest clip in decades. "For the last, about, five years they´ve been doing this survey, so this was the largest percentage increase in any quarter since they´ve been doing (it)," says Scott Gottlieb of the American Enterprise Institute. "But at 12 percent, 11 percent increase on average across all the states -- that puts it at the upper end of any increase we´ve seen for decades." That is the national average in a survey done by Morgan Stanley. But in some states, it found rates are soaring. "There are specific states with exorbitant increases," says Gottlieb.

Hume said the reaction to his comments about Holder and President Barack Obama “benefitting enormously” because of their race was equal parts positive and negative, with about half of people on Twitter calling him “racist” because there were no African-Americans present for the debate on Fox News Sunday. “In other words, in order to discuss this, you have to have an African-American present,” Hume added. “But if you’re just white,

4 We told you a few weeks back that the Obama Administration was prepared to take an astonishing step of surrender, even for this crew, in giving up control of the Internet’s domain name system. That would threaten the Internet’s independence as it would create an opportunity for regimes far less friendly to freedom to step in and gain power and influence. Well, this idea was so horrendous that even Bill Clinton, in addition to 35 Republican senators, spoke up and told the administration not to do it, as well as a great many other voices. Guess what. WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Service is prepared to rewrite a proposed rule regulating the political activities of non-profit groups to address complaints from the right and left that it goes too far, IRS Commissioner John Koskinen said Monday. Google has acquired drone maker Titan Aerospace, the Wall Street Journal reports. Titan is a New Mexico-based company that makes high-flying solar powered drones. There´s no word on the price Google paid, but Facebook had been in talks to acquire the company earlier this year for a reported $60 million. Presumably, Google paid more than that to keep it away from Facebook. It sounds like Titan will work on a variety of projects for Google. Titan will be able to collect photos from around the planet from high up, which could help with Google Earth and Google Maps. It will also contribute to Google's Project Loon,

Although the Civil Rights Act, the landmark legislation which just reached its 50th anniversary, made great strides in desegregating the economy, economic discrimination is still widespread, and anti-discrimination legislation alone can never rectify the economic damage inflicted upon blacks by slavery and our Jim Crow apartheid regime.
