Geography fail: Sen. Landrieu
says South Dakota borders Canada
in anti-border fence speech

Daily Caller, by Jeff Poor

On Thursday, South Dakota Republican Sen. John Thune proposed an amendment that would require 350 miles of double-layer fencing before any legalization illegal immigrants can begin. That double-layer fencing in his proposal was part of the 700 miles already required by a 2006 law, where only 36 miles have been completed. Then, according to the amendment, the other 350 miles must be completed before any green cards could be issued to those in the country illegally. But that amendment offered by the chairman of the Senate Republican Conference, the third-highest ranking position in the Senate GOP caucus

This bubble headed bleach blonde was once my Senator. She is as vapid as they come. What is the most shocking thing about her comment is that she actually knew South Dakota was part of the North American continent.

And Harry Reid wants Nevada included in the "border states" bennies.
democrats are making it up as they go along.
My compassion is gone..illegals are creating havoc and crime and I say we must follow the laws regarding illegal entry and deport them all. They won´t have to "live in the shadows" if they are where they belong, which is their own country.
So far, I only see compassion for the illegals, NONE for the citizens who are paying and paying and paying for those who break our laws.

Sorry, no, John.

1. Who gets on any list for legalization is a decision for the citizens of the US, not for law-breaking border-crossers.

2. It´s a matter of world-class stupidity to think any "restrictions" [like waiting periods, fines, mandatory English skills, etc.]: a. will ever really be enforced; or b. won´t be softened, repealed, subject to waiver "by the Secretary" [oh how Congress loves to shirk responsibility!], or flat-out repealed by the Dems ASAP.

OK, Mexico´s a crime-ridden toilet. I understand. The answer to that is for Mexicans to clean up Mexico.

What? Not easy you say? Duh. But it´s the only answer that will truly solve the problem[s], and the only answer that all the children, grandchildren, etc., of today´s Mexico.

Oh -- and it´s the only answer that will defend and preserve the real America, a goal in which the whole world has a stake.

Fences have their usefulness but are hardly the answer to reducing our flood of illegals. The real answer involves a rigorous and relentless program of fines against those who hire illegals and deportations for those illegals who so much as spit on the sidewalk.

Without those two approaches, the only fallback is self-deportation once these illegals are too old to work. The Dems know that is the ultimate backup plan and so are desperately making sure that the illegals get residency and thus eventually qualify for Social Security and Medicare. You only need a Green Card to retire in the US on the taxpayers´ dime. Citizenship is only useful for voting and (more importantly) not being deported if you drive drunk and kill someone (A Mexican national sport apparently - in my area a few years ago a drunken illegal ran over a killed another (probably also drunken) illegal). What are the odds of that?

...we "can´t waste billions and billions and bilions and billions of dollars building a fence that doesn´t hold ANYONE on one side OR the other. We have wasted enough money." (my upper case for emphasis)

On Laura Ingraham’s radio show on Thursday, Washington Post columnist Charles Krauthammer railed against President Barack Obama’s foreign policy gestures, specifically his referral Russia as a regional earlier this week. Krauthammer blamed it on the inexperienced advisers the president has surrounded himself with in his second term and his own worldview. “This points to the fact that Obama has surrounded himself in this term, in this kind of second-term arrogance, with midgets,” Krauthammer said. “There is nobody in the high command who had the stature of Bob Gates, for example, or even a Hillary Clinton

Two white adults divided the toys, one equally and the other unequally. Seventy per cent of the toddlers chose to play with the researcher who distributed the toys fairly. But in a second test, when one researcher favoured a white recipient over an Asian one, they picked the ‘fair’ researcher less often, the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports. How do you ensure that you won’t be ostracized, denounced, or fired if you are a media celebrity, captain of industry, or high public official? For some, sexist banter is certainly no problem. Stand-up comedian Bill Maher called Sarah Palin a c–t and a tw-t, but suffered no ill consequences. David Letterman joked on air that Sarah Palin’s 14-year-old daughter had had sex with Alex Rodriguez during a New York Yankees game. There was no downside to that either. President Obama tosses around “sweetie” as he wishes. No problem with that. No one believes Barack could be condescending to women.
